  1. She was sure that they weren’t going to back down better quick action that possible bloodshed. “I just like you to know for the record I really don’t want to do this.†Lucy had learned to fight on the street of Freedom City long ago, and as such didn’t really go for the niceties of the more structured forms of combat. No she went for the quick and dirty methods of taking down her opponent. So stepping forwards she drove her knee into the nearest man’s stomach, making sure to not to apply her full strength. She only wanted to wind the man, not break his spine. “Oh and just so you know the name Revenant.â€
  2. Lets ease you in with a simple no nosense strike. Strike : 1d20+11=15, if that hits it's a DC 26 toughness save.
  3. NP, Here you go, 1d20+2=21.
  4. Lucy gave a little sigh at the men’s calls, it seemed that some people hadn’t changed that much from back her own day. But her, well months of, experience told her that these men trouble. Time to this before someone got hurt. “Now are you sure you really want to do this?†She took off her sunglasses and gave him a look with her cold black eyes, stepping into the light for hopefully the full effect. “I’m in a good mood and I don’t want any trouble. I really don’t want to have to hurt you.†She was pretty sure it wasn’t going to work, but hoped against hope that one day someone wouldn’t want to start trouble.
  5. As you noticed Revenant doesn't really do stealthy . She'll go straight to the source of the npoise, but I'll let Sc and specially Evi get a post in before I proceed.
  6. I'm going to try again to getting him to talk using Batman interrogation techniques . As I'm not going to hurt him in any way I'm hoping I can get away with a bluff...
  7. Agnes sighed inwardly she’d hope to avoid such questions, best to stick to a version of the truth “I’m no machine I’m flesh and blood like you, I’m powered by the spirit of this land to help protect its people, all its people.†She had an idea it was risky but she wanted to be sure who all the sides were. She didn’t really want to hand these people over the Ministry for this world version of Waterboarding. She picked the most worried of the two, though it was a close call. She let the sailor hand go and lifted the man up with both hands. “I need you to protect him and keep him from harm until the Coppers get here, I’ll be back soon. As for you…†Holding the second Assassin tightly she flew through the door and straight up in the air in a streak of bright. Stopping above the fog which covered the city, were the air was colder but still breathable and look at the man she was carrying. “I thought for you confession you’d like to be closer to God.â€
  8. Lucy hopped down from Bessie with a broad grin on her face. “That Lord Steam was exhilarating! If I ever get around to learning how to drive I must remember to ask you to teach me it this wonderful machine…†She stopped suddenly hearing sounds of distress coming from within the building. “Wait, did you hear that? It sound like someone in trouble, follow me.†Without waiting for conformation from the other she ran towards the front door, bracing her shoulder in case it showed any resistance to her blow. She wasn’t planning to allow just a door to slow her down.
  9. Notice 1d20+8=10, well she's a little distracted. I'd like to slam the door, hopefully smashing it to matchwood, would you like me to roll? Finally I get to use my inhuman Strength .
  10. Lucy always enjoyed this part, exploring the highways and byways of the city. Tonight after finishing at the Our Lady of Mercy Soup kitchen she’d decided to wander the streets of Southside. She never felt nervous or cautious during her little wanders, by now most people around Boardwalk knew her by reputation and left her alone. And those that didn’t quickly learned the error of their ways. But today she was just wandering aimlessly not paying attention as she delved deeper into the rougher parts of Southside.
  11. I'll settle for Diplomacy 1d20+5=14, thats 18 if they find me attractive. I think I liked it better when it was someone elses roll .
  12. With lightning speed and Young Britannia caught the burly man fist, holding it there with almost no effort at all. “Whoa! There big guy. Hitting him isn’t going to help any, there expecting violence let try a little carrot for now.†She wiped the spittle off her face with her free hand. “As for this I’ve had worse in Primary School. What next, are you going to pull my hair and call it unruly?†She gave her sweetest smile. “It’s me or the mob; there want a little payback for you harming their beloved Ms Wheatley. I might be strong but I can’t stop them all. I can however keep you safe, but I need you to cooperate.â€
  13. Lucy noticed Nora discomfort and felt a little guilty, it was obvious that her caring master had kept her wild and feral to better keep her under control. She was determined not to treat Nora the same way. “Sorry Nora sometimes I forget that this is as new to you as it is to me. He is someone who understand the way of our kind those who died but won’t remain dead.†She hoped she sounded as guilty as she felt. “I’m going to be honest with you Nora, I don’t have the answers to your questions but there a big city out there and I’m willing to help you find the people who can give you the answers.â€
  14. There was something about Lord Steam’s car that reminded her of a Tin Lizzie, a nice little reminder of her past. She ran her finger down the across the hood as she wandered over to the passenger seat. “How could I not accept a ride in such a wonderful machine?†she clambered up into the seat giving Leviathan a little nod of thanks. “I feel I should be wearing goggles of maybe a scarf. I hope this automobile has a good turn of speed, if he’s involved he could be making his leave as we speak.†She settled back for the ride even if she suspected she could run faster.
  15. Well this was it the moment of truth when she found out if she could do this. It was a universal truth that there were two main players in a band the signer and the guitarist, if she could convince him she was a winner. She walked over to close to him and looked up into his brown eyes. Damn he was attractive… wait no focus. She offered out a hand resisting the urge to touch his chest. “Annice Stone, aka Annice Averbury. Friends call me Agnes.†She gave a small smile “We’ll start with Annice for now.†Gathering up her courage she went for the simple approach. “To be honest, I’ve never played with a band before, I want to make sure I can do it before we start recording.†She wandered over to the Mic stand and adjusted it to her level. “So what do you feel like playing?â€
  16. Her mom always use to joke about little Lucy bring home all the local strays. She seemed to have a knack for collecting around her others who needed her. She guessed she was here because she cared a little too much. She wouldn’t have it any other way. “I’ll find you somewhere, and eventually a job. I’ve got this number for an expert, a Necromancer, we can go and she him see if he can help.†She was beginning to think, hope against hope, that Nora could be helped. Maybe she should take her off of the meat hook now?
  17. Now the adrenaline of the performance and the chase had died down last night celebrations suddenly came back to greet her. She fought down the nausea, vomiting was not conducive to a hero image. She also had to be careful here, she didn’t want to be the local Angel of Mons. She floated on down to the man holding the assassins “Hello there I’m a friend of Ada, I’ve been looking after her, keeping her safe. Be careful with those men I need to know why they attacked. Could someone go fetch a Bobby?†She landed gracefully next to one of the men and leaned in close. “Care to tell me why you’re here?â€
  18. Released of her bond Lucy took a few moments to flex her muscles and take in her environment. Obviously something had changed but she wasn’t quite sure what. She wracked her brain trying to remember what she knew about Haiti. Her brother had been a marine out there and told the family lurid tales of their strange customs, but nothing concert. She’d always dismissed most of his tales as just stories but now she wasn’t exactly true. “So here we are, so what happens now?†she repeated the phrase in Latin. She hoped she was recovered enough to respond to the answer.
  19. Agnes was torn for a moment between the poor man and stopping the assassins, but he seemed to be breathing and she needed answers. Putting on a little burst of speed she easily caught up with whilst still making their way to the foyer, she was lucky that they didn’t know exactly what to make of her most mooks in her world would have been braced from some kind of hero action. “You know I don’t really speak Old-Dead language…†she ignore the bit of her telling her she could and concentrated her power. “… but I do know one phrase you that might interest you.†“Fiat Lux†She released a burst of pure light.
  20. k, First move around so I'm within 10ft of them, next spend my shiny hero point to stunt this ability from my Light Array. Dazzle 4 ( Extra: Area (Burst), Selective Attack) - Blinding burst of light. Everyone out to 20ft, except my allies, need to make a Reflex save v DC 14 or be blinded.
  21. “I remember those times; we’re probably one of the few who do remember them. I don’t think there are many alive in this country who knows what it means to be truly hungry.†Lucy looked wistfully for a few moments. “But that doesn’t mean we have to act like those day long gone. Too much harm was done to feed the needs and wants of people.†She absent mindedly rubbed the scar on her forehead. “You can decide to stop being Bloody Nora, and become just Nora, so make up for the blood by your deeds. But I can’t make the choice, neither can your Master, it’s all up to you.†She gave a friendly little smile. “But I’ll help as much as I can, if my blood and flesh will cure your hunger I’ll freely give it.â€
  22. Arcane Lore : 1d20+4=14, so close Notice : 1d20+8=28 and Iniative : 1d20+2=3. Well you know I'm slow and steady, but really observant. :D
  23. I like the idea of a mindscape battle, and if I do really bad we can still do the body swap!
  24. I'm happy to be Mrs Peel to Lord Steams John Steed .
  25. Lucy carefully paid attention to everything the woman was saying, she wasn’t as skilled as Lord Steam but wasn’t completely without skills. “Well some people are very spritely in there hundreds…†Lucy smiled at some private joke “And I’ve really never had a problem with bouncers.†She looked a little thoughtful for a minute “Are you sure there was nothing that marked out her date as special?†she gently nudged Lord Steam in the arm “And could you stop flirting with the witness for just one minute?†he wry smile showed she wasn’t completely serious. “Anyhow I agree, let’s go find this man.â€
