  1. Bingo! Lucy was so happy that she had finally got a result from Steve that she didn’t notice the attack until she felt the chair leg shatter against her skull. Taking advantage of his surprise she grabbed and hauled him off his feet, lifting him bodily off his feet and above her head as if he weighed noting. “I’m a little unset you would do that. And I thought we were getting along so well. Normally this is the point I’d pretend my arm is getting tired, but in truth is I could do this all night. So let’s try this again, what do you know about Bloody Nora?†She gave an evil looking smile. “And just remember right now I’m here, and she isn’t.“
  2. K, Gonna try for a grapple. The attack (1d20+10=19), for the grapple (1d20+17=25) I want him conscious and hopefully talkative… I wanna hold him above me look all bad ass and hopefully get him to talk. As it's all bluster (and I still have no Intimidate ) I'd like to do it as a Bluff. (Oh I missed Super-Strength off my Grapple and my last rank of protection on my Toughness on my updated sheet. Must try harder )
  3. Toughness save(1d20+11=26) Yay for undead skin :)
  4. Cannonade, Cannonade why did that name sound familiar? It would come to her eventually, it probably wasn’t important anyway. Tentatively, in case her balance was still a little off, she lifted herself off of the chair. It seemed that everything was now okay and a rough form of reality had now returned. Well as much as you could in a world full of Victorian chintz. Well everything seemed to be working, time to go dressing up! “Thanks, anything else I need to know? If not them lead on MacDuff.†She did her best overblown arm sweep.
  5. Iniative : (1d20+2=5), damn these undead limbs .
  6. “Ah I see very much a gossip girl, with maybe a dash of pillow talk. Well I think I’ll draw the line at a flirtin’ and a gossipin’. Unless they’re really cute…†Then again it was proper cloak and dagger and she had that little extra that no one here would be expecting. And all this stomping around a Victorian world actual sounded like fun. “Very well I’m in. Do I get one of those dresses, because I expect it to look fabulous! Though I think I need some kind of English-Victorian dictionary, I get Luddite but Cannonite?â€
  7. The poor guy was terrified at something, so terrified he couldn’t even bring himself to say what he was scared off. Time to give the tree a little shake and see what fell out. She moved into the room knowing that poor Steve would follow in very short order. Stopping by what she hoped was the appropriate cabinet she turned back to the man. “Oh I’m looking for the case files of Felix Drum. Seem he had some dealings with someone called Bloody Nora.†She tried to sound as innocent as she could and watch Steve’s face for any reaction.
  8. She felt a lot more centred the Gin helped, but it also seemed she the spirit had gotten us to being in this new world. Whilst many things seemed to have stayed the same from Victorian times, she felt underdressed in her combats and hoodie compared to the opulent dress of even M. But there attitude to people luckily seemed to have changed. “Okay impersonates Ada that’s simple enough, though I’m not really up on my music hall tunes. One thing I need to know though is what do you think poor Ada was investigating for Queen and Country?â€
  9. Okay the ditzy flapper wasn’t doing her any favors. She straightened up and looked at Steve with a stern look. “Look Steve, something’s going on here, tell what’s going on.†She made a sweeping gesture towards the door, and her face softened “Then if you want you can go, I know I’ll be fine.†“Unless you’d like to stay here with whatever here with us.†She looked around the two rooms confidently, partly to ensure the frightened Steve, partly to see if there was a dark figure lurking just out of sight. As if it would be that easy.
  10. The trip was quite rapid and under eventful, Kate hardly had time to get up on the moor before she arrived. Looking around the room and the portly M, Annice opened her mouth to say something sarcastic when it hit. A strange feeling of dislocation, an empty feeling that she was lost cast adrift from her home. Yes this is England, but not her England. She fought down a panic coming from the spirit inside her. She felt somewhere between the back of her eyes and infinity was the presence of this worlds Britannia. Fighting down the feelings of vertigo she smiled weakly. “Yes somewhere to sit down would be nice. And maybe a stiff drink?â€
  11. Lucy could feel the waves of fear rolling off the poor man. Thinking about it before this kind of situation would have given her the creeps, but not now. She felt a little guilty about doing this but any information could be vital. “Wow it’s really spooky down her. Is this place haunted? Are there any ghost down her? My mother always said I was a little psychic.†A quick try of the door showed it was locked, and a look at Steve showed he wouldn’t be much help. A little force and the door opened easily. “Oh look the door broke must be the rotten wood. If you want I could stay here on you own.†Her best gormless smile “You’ve been such a great help after all.â€
  12. Sense Motive : (1d20+7=22) Does he have the keys to the room or will I have to force the lock?
  13. Trent tiny detail its almost not worth mentioning, but... Y.B. is Agnes, Lucy's the other one. My bad really for having you run two threads with two different characters . Just to check, no prime tech works here right?
  14. Yeah I’ so sharp I’ll cut myself. She wasn’t sure there was much here that could harm her, but better not to take any chances. She was especially concerned about the idea of something hanging around in the old parts of the building. She hung onto his arm, trying to keep up the ditzy masquerade. “How about you give me the whole tour. They I can go have a look at all that dusty old stuff.†Lucy gave one of her winning smiles “I’m ever so thankful for all this help Steve.†ugh! But need musts. She gently pushed Steve forwards to start his “interesting†tour of the slabs of meat.
  15. “I wonder if it’s a Bernard or a Judi?†she mumbled to herself as she followed this Lord She stopped at the portal which she was sure had been cribbed from some TV show she’d seen at some point. Oh well too late to back out now. “Well I don’t normally get travel sick, but if I am I’m charging you for the dry cleaning.†Almost by habit she put in her ear buds and set her Nano on shuffle, it kicked out a Kate Bush track which somehow seemed appropriate for a Victorian world. “In the words of another dimensional traveller. Geronimo!†Doing her best Time Tunnel impression she stepped through the portal.

  18. Wow as a pitch that was off the charts. A part of her wanted to just jump at the chance for such an adventure, but she was still a little cautious. This could be a massive con off some kind. But if not… “Okay you’ve got an hour to convince me. If I’m not happy I get to walk away. †She got her phone out of her purse and began to dial a number. She’d have to stall the studio for a couple of days just in case. “You bloody better be paying me in gold, if this screwed up my recording contract…†her look suggested she was very serious.
  19. Diplomacy (1d20+12=20) I'll try a re-roll (1d20+12=16) Well at leasts he's indiffrent
  20. She smiled her best smile “For now Steve, you’re all the prime meat I need.†Just for effect actually giggled. “I’ve been tracing my family tree; I’m a decedent of Felix Drum. He stayed in this house when…†her voice took on a conspiratorial whisper “…this was an asylum.†She put on her best innocent and hopeful look “I was wondering if I could have a look round the old place, get a feel for what he went through.†She tried to sound as nonchalant as possible “Do you happen to know where all the old places records went?â€
  21. Technically she can't access skills whilst in her normal identity, but I thought it would work well for the scene. If you want I can edit that bit out.
  22. She sat back in the comfy chairs and enjoyed the man hospitality. Real bloody tea and scones, she was in heaven. She didn’t even drink that much tea back home, it seemed that staying in America had made her even more English, which for the spirit of the land was quite something. She was trying to work out what he was on about she heard of Vaudeville and Burlesque revivals but music hall was a bit much. Then he said the magic word. Caught unaware her face briefly flickered to that of someone else and her normal soft North London accent took on a Wilshire tone. “What like Avalon, the Faerie realms?â€
  23. She spent a few moments taking in the architecture of the old building, whilst taking time to decide how to approach the building. Subtly would be useful she could easily sneak around the building, but the employees would have some knowledge of the site and maybe even those elusive records. She felt thankful that in her rush she had naturally went for her suit, it made her look all tidy and respectable. Though official wouldn’t work, they could probably run rings around her knowledge of modern law. So someone interested in the historic site. She rang the bell and patiently waited.
  24. Who was this guy? He wasn’t Six, the whole look made James Bond look subtle. Maybe the Ministry? She’d manage to stay under the radar so far, but they were bound to catch up with her sooner or later. She just hadn’t expected them on US soil. Obviously the man knowledge of music stopped sometime before Vera Lynn still that might help her him not knowing about her fall from grace. She took his hand a shook it firmly “Yeah that’s right I’m Annice. As you said the magic word I’ll take a listen to what you’re selling. But if I don’t like the deal I get to walk away. Right?â€
  25. Fallowfield Hall huh, she promised to make it up to May, if there was some way you could apologise to a stone sphinx. She sat on the steps and thought about this for a minute. A meat packing plant, she wouldn’t would she? It would be a perfect place to hide her, unique diet. That if Lucy wasn’t chasing a ghosts around. It wouldn’t hurt to go have a look around, it was unlikely they had any record still lying around but there was still that off chance. After enjoying the feel of the sun on her face, she got up a hailed a taxi to the ruined sanatorium.
