  1. The demon of cause, I'll make it a little clearer.
  2. Revenant stepped up to the demon that had just bitten her companion. Tapping him (it?) lightly on the shoulder, she gave the creature a stern look. â€Excuse me sir, I believe it’s my turn to dance with the young lady.†The demon looked at her with a confused look on its face, just as she pulled her arm back and struck the demon. Revenant gave her a wry smile. â€I’m sorry Sir it appears that you’re no gentleman.â€
  3. I'm going to hit the demon who just bit Cheshire. Stike (unarmed) : (1d20+10=28) That "should" hit a Toughness save against DC 25
  4. Arriving in the alley Lucy had a few seconds to take in all the details. Apart from Cheshire, to who she gave a little wave, she saw dog’s maybe wolves slinking around. Wolves in the heart of Freedom City, she wouldn’t have believed it if she hadn’t seen it with her own eyes. A few days ago this would be an unusual even scary, but now without a second thought she threw herself towards one of the wolves. Trying to grab hold of the creature through a flurry of teeth and claws.
  5. Woo-hoo. K, I'm going to try and grapple on of the wolves. Melee Attack : (1d20+8=23) If that hit my grapple roll is (1d20+15=18) I'm looking for spare dumpster to throw this one in, not the one they're attacking obviously , if not I'll keep hold of the wolf for now.
  6. Revenant’s face fixed into a determined look, this man was beginning to annoy her. Plus she was worried that despite all the bravado Cheshire and Wisp, and maybe herself, were in trouble of being damaged just by being in this place. With no style, and no real technique, she stepped forwards and planted a large blow straight onto his face, square between the eyes. She was sure a flash of surprise flashed across his smug little face, a small victory in any case. With a wry smile she informed him. â€Tried dying, didn’t take…â€
  7. I'm a simple kind of girl, I'm just gonna hit 'im. Strike (unarmed) (1d20+10=30) That a straight Toughness 25.
  8. Iniative : (1d20+2=9), wow had did I end up the fastest? :)
  9. Just a thought, but couldn't you have a core team of 5-6 and then several sub-teams? Sorta like Justice League International or Stormwatch. And if each team has a designated "leader" then it should be easier to get two or more team together.
  10. Revenant turned and was about to run towards the sound, until Wisp arrived in a flash of smoke. Smiling a broad smile and embraced Wisp in a large friendly hug. â€Wisp! It great to see you again.†Worry crossed her faced and she pushed Wisp out to arm’s length. â€That wasn’t wrong was it? I’m still getting used to, well everything…†Embarrassed she adjusted her jacket. â€Right, let’s go help somebody. Shall I follow, or can you apport us again?â€
  11. Iniative : (1d20+2=17) hooray, much better :D
  12. Another bluff, I'd like to draw him out to me. Bluff Roll : (1d20+12=25), I've included the +4 for attractive this time. Here'shoping he take sthe bait.
  13. The journey was brief and uneventful, and a little of an anti-climax, but she was happy that Wisp was as skilled as she was; she wasn’t ready to spend another 80 years in a wall. She though that she saw Wisp flinch a little as they arrived, how dangerous was this stuff? She knew that these materials produced Becquerel Rays but they just ruined photo plates didn’t they. Then again a lot of years had passed. She wasn’t sure if her newfound reliance would protect her than again if it was as serious as Wisp had sais then it wouldn’t matter. Lucy gave the other woman a thin smile. â€Go find those Suits for your and Cheshire. I’ll be fine I’m tougher than I look." she was amazed how natural the lie sounded even to herself â€I’ll try to delay our him for as long as I can.†Her shoes made strange sound on the strange metal flooring as she wandered around, looking for both some kind of weapon and this Heavy Metal. She’d like to have made a full search, but time was ticking down, time for a new tactic. â€Heavy Metal wasn’t it? I must say I’m impressed with what you done here so far. It’s humbling really to be bested by someone as intelligent as yourself. Though I was wondering if you could answer me just one question?†she shouted at the top of her voice, hoping he was vain enough to take the bait…
  14. duh! I've got Diplomacy as well. That's (1d20+8=14), it's +4 or 18 if either of them finds me attractive.
  15. Well as we're in a hurry, Revenant doesn't know what a Hazmat suit is (or that she doesn't it) and more importantly has never been teleported before , I'm happy to be teleported in.
  16. Revenant was all ready with a solid blow and a witty quip when Heavy Metal took off towards the building. She turned to the other two women with a rather confused look on her face, subconsciously adjusting her suit jacket at Wisps comment. â€I’m sorry I’m a little new at this, actually I’m a tiny bit star struck fighting alongside two genuine Mystery… Women.†She paused gathering together her thoughts. â€Sorry, I’m babbling a little. Anyway if I may I have two questions. One, do either of you know exactly who this ‘Heavy Metal’ is? And two if say someone had been out of action, for say 84 years. Exactly what is a Nuclear Power Station, and how much damage can he do?â€
  17. Lucy smiled and leaned down towards the tiny robot. “Why thank you Mac, though I’ve never thought of myself as a Byronic Heroine. It wouldn’t work anyway, I’m much too old for you!†she blew the little machine a kiss. Lucy then turned to Cheshire and began to hold her arms out wide, before changing her mind and looking rather sheepish. “Cheshire it’s a pleasure to see you again, though I’m not sure how hero’s great each other is it okay to hug, or do those air kisses or the bumping of the hands?†she then turned towards Jubatus “Hello there, Jube wasn’t it? Is it wrong that I had a desire to rub you behind the ears?" Lucy looked a little embrassed "I’m sorry that should have probably stayed in my head. “ Finally she turned towards Blueshift “You have me at a disadvantage young lady, though it’s a pleasure to meet you.†The smile faded and she took on a more serious tone. â€It looks like we’re all here after the same thing. I’ve got nothing, my street knowledge is a little out of date, but I suggest we all pool together everything we know and try and get these children back safely.â€
  18. I'd like to try to convince them rather than intimidate if I can, especially as I don't have Intimidate . If they just run I want to try at follow at a safe distance, i can pace them and won't get tired.
  19. Whilst Lucy wasn’t exactly up on the ways of the modern world she wasn’t stupid and she recognized the defiance of the youth when they’ve done something not quite legal. She remembered doing similar when she was young. â€I’m so sorry I’s so hard to tell the way you dress today. I was just admiring you’re art.†she paused as if considering the graffiti. Then she leaned in her black eye’s twinkling in the light. â€Vampire you say? I would take such a treat serious I fought one myself only a few days ago. I tell you what let’s leave your wonderful piece of art and I’ll walk you home. No drama, no trouble just me seeing you safely home from these dangerous streets.†With that she gave her friendliest smile â€And if there are vampire about you get one hell of story of how I defended you from them. What do you say?â€
  20. Whoops my bad  . I'm still getting my head around the rep chart, but I've got nothing extra planned to add.
  21. What you mean you haven't read my background . Lucy Harker tried a noturious Mafiossa Don in '27, which is why she ended up as Reveneant. I'm guessing she wouldn't have got her photo up alone in the paper, but maybe in the background. There going to be a feraed dead story, but that probably wouldn't have a photo. But hey I can work with what you've got.
  22. Introduction Who are you? Sum yourself up in one sentence. A woman cut adrift from her own time and thrust into the exciting 21st century. Do you have any nicknames, street names, titles, or nom de plume? Just Revenant. What is your full birth name? Lucy Isabella Harker. Where do you live? The streets of Freedom City. How old are you? What year were you born (if applicable)? I was born 114 years ago, physically I don't look a day over 30. Physical Traits What is your gender? If not applicable, please explain. Female. How would you describe your heritage? Both my parents were English, though I was born here in this city. How tall are you? 5’3†What is your body type? Lithe Do you have any particular weaknesses, such as allergies or physical disabilities? My body seems to keep itself in a perfect state. How do you carry yourself? Are you graceful, or heavy on your feet? Can you be stealthy, do you walk with confidence? I learned early in my career to carry myself with confidence, despite what’s going on around me. Describe your skin, eye, and hair color. My skin is deathly pale and cold to the touch. My eye once a rich brown are now a solid black. Only my hair is it original color, black. How do you wear your hair, if applicable? Do you have facial hair? Cut into a fashionable bob, well at least for my time. Do you consider yourself attractive? Do others? Others have commented that I look quite attractive, I'm not sure having spent many a year trying not to stand out to much. Do you have any scars, tattoos, piercings, or birthmarks? The only mark I now carry is a small dimple on my forehead where I was shot. Do you resemble anyone famous? I always thought I look a little like Louise Brooks. Do you have a dominant hand? Sinister I'm afraid. What kind of clothing do you wear? The only clothing I own is the suit I was killed in. Do you wear makeup? No What is your vocal range? Is your voice distinctive in some way? I'm quite capable of projecting my voice so that a whole courtroom can hear what I'm saying. Do you have any distinctive habits, nervous tics, or mannerisms? Where did they come from, and what causes them? Do other people notice and remark on these habits? Do they annoy you or other people? Not that I'm aware off. History Where do you come from? I was born and raised in Freedom City. Have you made any major moves, or do you live in your hometown? I was never able to travel beyond the city. Do you feel loyal to your country of citizenship? Do you consider yourself patriotic? How do you feel about the government of your country? I gave my life to defend its justice system, how could I not be a patriot? How do you feel about the place you come from? The funny thing about living on the streets is you see the best and worst of people. I think, or at least hope, that most people in this city are good. Where is your home town? What was/is it like? Right here in the city. Growing up, were most of the people you knew similar to you, or were you somehow a minority? How did that affect you? Adults from where I grew up were always a little wary of me, as if I was cursed. After a few fights most of the children accepted me, though a few were always wary. Is there something you've always been really good at or really bad at? How has that affected your life? Looking on the bright side, and grasping any opportunity as it came along. Not always for the best, but it did get me here. Were there any traumatic experiences in your early years (death of a family member, abandonment, orphaned at an early age)? My mother always seemed a little sad, though she tried to hide it from me. It seems something happened to her before I was born, though I could never find out what. Briefly describe a defining moment in your childhood and how it influenced your life. When I was small some of the children would tease me because I was "different", except for one boy who would always defend those weaker than him. When I got a little older and could fight I did the same because it just seemed right. What stupid things did you do when you were younger? I was a bit of tomboy and a young girl, ah the tales I could tell. Where did you go to school? How much school did you have, and did you enjoy it? I was educated in the local school in the area. What are they, and why did you keep them? If you have none, why not? I don't know if anything has survived from my childhood. When did you decide to become a hero? Why? Did anyone influence you one way or another in the decision? When I was a lawyer I could do my bit to help people, but the system of the time held me back. The Mystery Men on the other hand were the big boy, helping people because it right. Now I can return the favor. Is the reason you give people for becoming a hero different than your real reason? If so, why? No why would it? Do you have any deep, dark secrets in the past that may come back to haunt you? However tough it was, and however temping, I never took the easy option. So no deep dark secrets for me. Do you represent yourself as being different from who you really are? Why? Maybe I come from an easier time, but I never felt the need to represent myself as anything but who I am. If you do have these secrets, what do you fear would happen if the truth became known? How far would you go to protect those secrets? n/a Do you have any sort of criminal record? If so, is it public knowledge? None Family What are your biological parents' names? Abraham & Florence Harker. Were you raised by them? If not, please explain and describe who raised you. Yes What was their standing in the community? What did/do they do for a living? My mother was a School Teacher and my father was a Lawyer. They always seemed to keep a low profile, not standing out in the community. Where are your parents now? They must both be dead by now. Did your family stay in one area or move around a lot? My parents move to America from the UK to start a new life. How did you get along with their parents? How do you get along with them now (if applicable). I loved them with every fiber of my heart, I miss them terribly. How do your parents view you now, or how would they? I have no one who know me, or who I have to protect with a secret ID. Do you work well on teams and in groups? Are you a leader or a follower? I’ll happily take orders, or take command if necessary. Are you on a super team? If so, how do you get along with your comrades? Do you trust them, or do you have secrets from them? They exist? To spend time around other hero’s that would be a wonder. Is there anything that would make you give up hero work, or even switch sides? Maybe one day I’ll settle down for a while to live a normal life. But I’d never give up my principles. What are your short term goals (what would you like to be doing within a year)? To build a new life, a little pool of “normalityâ€. What are your long term goals (what would you like to be doing twenty years from now)? To resume my old career as a lawyer. What is your greatest fear? Why? What do you do when something triggers this fear? Letting down people who need my help. Is there anything you would give your life for? To preserve the life of another. How do you feel about money and material wealth? Do you desire it or disdain it? Are you miserly with what you have, or do you like to share? Is it a mark of success, or a means to an end? It’s not the money you earn it’s what you do with that money that determine the type of person you are. How do you generally treat others? With the respect they deserve. Are you a trusting person? Has your trust ever been abused? I’ll trust someone until they prove me otherwise. Are you introverted (shy and withdrawn) or extroverted (outgoing)? Do you have a lot of self-confidence? Do you enjoy "roughing it", or do you prefer your creature comforts? I’m quite happy living rough on the streets, but then again I feel no cold or hunger. Is there a job or a task you would absolutely refuse to do? No Do you consider yourself a spiritual person? If so, how do your beliefs affect your life? How important is it to you? I’m still deciding. No I could never take a life. What circumstances led to you forming that conviction, or taking that action? I’ve been given a second chance something few others have. Why should I deny anyone the life they deserve? Are there circumstances under which you believe it is permissible to kill? What are they? Only the state has the right to kill someone for a crime, and only if proven beyond all doubt. That and times of war. How would you react to watching someone kill another person? Would your reaction be different if the killer was a friend or an enemy of yours? I would try my hardest to stop that person even if it cost me my life. How would you react if something important was stolen from you? I would recover the item and have them arrested. How would you react to public humiliation? Depends on the circumstances, though if lives are at stake that comes first. How would you react if a good friend or relative were purposely or accidentally killed? Has it happened to you? Revenge is the first thing that most people would think off, but all I would want is justice. I hope my family received justice for those who took my life. Have fun and enjoy the wonders of the world, but be careful of those who would try and use you.
  23. You are right I'm talking to a giant hockey puck . So just ignore my entire post.
  24. This part of the West End had changed since Lucy had last walked the streets. It used to be where those who considered themselves Middle-class, despite having no more money than anyone else. Who proudly kept there street clean and tidy Like her parents. She’d been putting it off but finally, after the last few days of weirdness, she had decided to try and find the old house. She remembered the address like it was yesterday, which to her it almost was, but some of the layout had changed over time. She was close she was sure. Actually the area seemed unusually quiet and she wondered if the houses had been abandoned. No one else seemed to be around, well accept for those artists… She stood for a few minutes and watched them lost in their work, marveling at the shapes and color they were producing. Whenever she felt the panging for the old day’s she only had to remember the wonders this had to provide. â€Wow guy’s that’s really good†she step towards the confused graffiti artists.
