  1. Do I need to do anything to spot the crystals?
  2. Zhenshchina-voin Klara paused outside the building the youngest two had already entered, curious about the place but also thinking about the job they were sent here to do. You want me to wander off and cause a distraction she smiled As you can tell that I’m very good at causing a distractions. She was curious about the place as a whole and was interested to see how people really felt about the place, if she could find anyone who would talk about such things. Either that or the others could do that whilst she distracted the guards.
  3. Everyone give me a reaction and a Initiative roll. The suits are minions so it should be a quick fight.
  4. GM Post There was a slight pause as everyone seemed to size up everyone else, the female Centurion even gently putting down the automobile. The moment wasn’t for long before the booming voice of the Power Suit broke the silence. “All powered individuals are banned from activity by orders of the Mastermind. You will all surrender yourself to the Science Police or we will be force to subdue you all.” Perfectly synced the powered suits deployed some impressive looking canons, something very unlikely to be found in this kind of era, much like the Power Suits themselves.
  5. GM Post Entering the Rookery the assembled group had enough training to know that something was wrong, another person was in the room. Before they could react either way the chair in front of the monitors swiveled round. Leaning forward the figure was shadowed appearing like they wore a cowl before the strands of red hair revealed the chairs occupant. “She’s been here for a few months at my Manhattan apartment…” Calliope answered the question even though she couldn’t have heard it earlier. “… There are several interesting Social Media videos about that new Raven of New York.” Hand held in front of her that matronly teacher persona that she’d adopted now for so long. “I assume you all have questions and between us I’m sure we’re be able to answer some of them.”

  7. This is an IMAGINARY STORY (which may never happen, but then again may)… This is an IMAGINARY STORY…, Aren't they all? - Whatever happened to the Man of Tomorrow? For this vignette we explore the what could have been with the theme of alternative universes, a theme that I’m sure of many of you know I’m a fan off! So you can explore a version of your character where there life took a very different turn at a key event in there life (a What-Ifs) or one where the world they live in is very different from that of Earth Prime (Elseworlds). And it doesn't have to be the present day it could be the distant past or the far future where someone, or anywhere in between. Please just remember that whilst some alternatives get pretty dark keep things within the site general PG-13 tone, apart from that go crazy. The story of this alternative world should be posted in this thread no later than the 31st July. (As a reminder, vignettes follow the same general rules as posts in terms of content, player character limits, and so on. You may have only one vignette per player character. Each vignette should be at least one page (~500 words) in length; if posted in your thread counts at the end of the month, it is worth 1pp for the associated character. An especially long vignette, 1000 words or more, may be worth up to 2pp. Multiple players can collaborate on a single vignette - we recommend Google Docs for this, it's very useful - but the vignette should be about one page per participating player.)

  10. Madame Raven Callie couldn’t help but be suspicious about this sudden change of guide, Calliope had been keeping an eye on her since they’d run across each other. She didn’t blame her really, she was still trying to figure out what the deal between them both after all. But she was still curious as to how the school had changed over the few decades since she’d last attended the school. “Yeah the gym sounds like a nice place to start, I don’t know about you but I always appreciate a good place to work out.” she smiled sweetly at her future duplicate knowing that she’d know exactly what she was talking about. She really shouldn’t poke the bear, but in this case the bear started the poking first.
  11. Emerald Spider She didn’t have to do the maintenance on the air conditioners now, she was a manager type after all, but she liked to do it now and again just to keep in practice. You never knew when things would change after all. In the guts of the machine, music playing to pass the time, so she’d missed the message the only tell was the weird tingling she felt with her quantum sense. By the time she’d gotten to the point to see what had happened people were already moving to whatever siren called they’d received. Figure something was wrong, obviously, she began to follow the crowd leaping from building to building and keeping out of sight. She didn’t need to bother with her costume until she knew what was going on, and the crowd didn’t look up at the best of time and this wasn’t the best of times.
  12. Madame Raven “I’ll be buggered if I know what I am, all I know is right now I’m here.” She lent against the old desk she remembered from this room, feel the little grooves where she always placed her hands. At least something seemed to be like her own home. “One thing though. I’m not going to spill any tea on older me, but that me was a couple of days from a major lifestyle change. If I went through that I'm sure I’d go through quite a radical personality change as well.” She gave a little friendly smile to the newcomer “One thing they never say about superheroing is all the drama goings-on behind the scenes. It’s like youtube with capes.”
  13. The Immutable Betsy Brooks Betsy hated a mystery, well that wasn’t true she loved mysteries but those were the kind she had the occult skill set to solved. “Hi, yeah it me again, did you manage to get a message through to any of our Municipal Heroes?” she should keep asking for help from the Mayors heroes but this was an emergency. The mystery was one of those ones that needed a superhero style solution, the one that she really wasn’t part of even if she kept running into those kind of things in this city. Maybe for a quiet life she should go back home, supernatural menaces seemed to come out of the woodwork there as far as she could tell. “Yeah I’m still at my office if you want to remind them to pop by and help out.”
  14. A deserted Crossroads, Deep in the San Sebastien Swamp, Vibora Bay Walpurgis Night 1936 Many place had a legends of places like this where one could sell your soul for the ability to play like a (fallen) angel, if only for a short but glorious time. On this night a young man, John Robinson, had dressed in his best suit and travelled out to the swamp guitar in hand. In the moonlight he could see a figure at the crossroad, a misshapen thing, though he should have expected something considering who he was expecting to meet tonight. Taking a breath he stepped onto the crossroads to meet the one he was sure that could help him achieve his goal. He wasn’t sure what to except, but the woman that stepped into the light wasn’t want he expected. With her fancy extravagant hair, apparently not a hideous a beast in humanoid form, and her strange boyish dress it wasn’t the kind of girl you’d see even in the clubs of Vibora Bay. “Hi there we need to talk!” Several Months plus Seventy odd years later…
  15. Ms Bright Looking around Agnes picked out the closest of the baddies, not caring which baddies she punched, and half left half flew towards the foe, right now she just wanted to take all these guy down. Again no fancy moves just a fist to the stomach, though as angry as she was she held back the blow so not to overly hurt the scumbag, however tempting as it was right now. “Stay down or things will be much worse for you!” it wasn’t an idle threat either, her glare proved just that point.
  16. White Lioness Smiling beneath her mask and giving her ally a nod Àjàṣorò slipped into away and into the shadows, blending into the shadows despite the bright white of her costume. The spirit of the Lion was just as home in the shadows as the light, something she’d been embracing over the last couple of years. Sometime she wondered if she was embracing the spirit or the spirit was embracing her. She slipped down to flank the enemies and make sure they couldn’t cause any more harm, it was so easy for her that she spend the time considering her sense of self. At least when being a hero she didn’t have to worry about representing her home nation, she could just concentrate on punching the bad guys.
  17. Madame Raven “Oh hey you’ve got yourself a sidekick!” she winced a little as she realised that might not be an appropriate thing to say. “Hello Callie! Sorry I have such an 80’s brain sometime, is there a preferred term for superheroes mentoring another?” Figuring she might have mitigated her faux pas a little she game a little smile, the superheroing she could do easily it was the dealing with the other heroes that was the real challenge. “Anyway I’m Callie Summers, pleased to meet you!”
  18. Emerald Spider Emerald Spider was quiet for a few more moments her fists clenched still, then when she again spoke her voice was low and tinged with anger. “Agreed, whoever did this will face…” she breathed out and unclenched her fists, getting angry wasn’t what her mother would have wanted. “… the full extent of the law.” She made her hand motions and sent out a strand of quantum filament to leave the warehouse, turning to add before leaving. “We’re going to get to the bottom of all this I promise.”
  19. White Lioness will go in full stealth mode, a +30 if important, and will make her way down to help out. For when needed Aja's Initiative: 1d20+12 29
  20. Shall pick the nearest baddie and do the punching Attack Roll: 1d20+7 19, if that hits a DC 22 Toughness.
  21. White Lioness It seemed that when she wasn’t at school she was down at the docks, it almost made her pine for all the ceremonies she had to attend back home. Still she had to stop any potential smuggling of Daka crystals and this group seem to have a connection to such things. With a smile at her fellow students words she considered the options at hand, she wasn’t an expert but she had picked up some tactical knowledge. The benefit of a Claremont education it seemed. “Personally I’d sneak around the back and start taking them out in the darkness, maybe we could work from that. How do you feel about playing the decoy on this one?” her voice had a note of amusement at the suggestion.
  22. GM Post As the little group started to wander into the streets one of the roads car roared past at the maximum a automobile of the time could manage. It was quickly followed by a blue gold blue that rapidly caught up with the vehicle and a very familiar, to some, costume lifted the car above there head, though the person was obviously not Centurion. The actions of the crowd wasn’t what you’d expect from a superhero appearance, with them fleeing from them one man actually screaming in terror as he ran past you. The reason became a little clearer when with a plink five figures appeared in the air wearing what appeared to be primitive bulky power armour. They began to descend on boot jets as they called out to this female Centurion. “This is the Science Police your actions have been declared illegal by the Mastermind, surrender now or we will use lethal force.” It couldn’t be a coincidence that you turned up just at this moment in time.
  23. Emerald Spider Just when it seemed like everything was over it seemed like the main villain had turned up, such was the way these things tended to go, it should have been expected really. Swinging back around Peri took an aim towards this new comer aiming to tie them down and buy her allies some time to consider options. Her first pass was a little wide and she missed with her quantum lines, but on a second pass she managed to get closer to binding the villain to the roof. “Time to think about what you are going to do, don’t make me give you a time out!”
  24. Let's try and snare the big bad Attack Roll (Snare): 1d20+10 12, okay lets use my HP for a reroll Attack Roll (Snare): 1d20+10 15 so an even 20.
