Claremont Canteen, Lunchtime 26th February 2020 Even in a school like Claremont cliches tended to determine who sat where in the canteen, or Teams as they were politely called, so someone who broke the rules could cause quite a bit of gossip. A new girl weaving through the crowd for a specific person would later call a bit of a buzz. In this case she made her way straight to where Davyd’s table and stood and asked politely. “Hi there is this seat taken?” Whilst a younger it was obviously the face of Daphne, the Earth bound Grue that was Davyd’s mentor, who probably should be here quite like this.

The Freedom Ledger Online #ReleaseTheRavenCut by Dancia Devons At the top of the story a video plays of an old ‘80’s film, an older Centurion turns to look as an armoured foot stomps down. A pan up shows a power-suit in with the familiar form of The Raven. If you ask the more discerning comic book fan they will tell you one of the best comics of the 80’s was a The Raven Rises, a comic that imagines a very 1980s future where an old Raven comes out of retirement to save Freedom City opposed by a similarly aged Centurion now working for a government that bans superheroes. What many don’t realise is that there was a film made of the comic, though only a few clips have surface in the last forty odd years. Many consider it a cheaply made film to keep the rights, like Coorman’s Atom Family movie, but many insist that it a fully realized movie on par if not better than ‘78s Centurion: The Movie or ‘89s The Raven. So when rumors began to circulate at the end of last year that a print of the film had been found the internet was quick to call for the movie to be released, creating the now famous #ReleasetheRavenCut hashtag…

White Lioness It had been a long day and Àjàṣorò was tired after a busy week, otherwise she was sure that she would have just let this pass, it was just your standard school prank after all. But after, she suspected not, being played she wasn’t in the mood to let this all just pass by unchallenged. “You call that Anarchy? It’s just babies first prank, even if it was technically brilliant. And you couldn’t even do that right, you let word get around and a bit of a legend build up before you reveal your involvement.” she’d kept her voice fairly level though being so annoyed traces of her true accent slipped in to her speech. “If you want to see true Anarchy I’ll happily take you to places where the government has no power and the populous are controlled over the barrel of the gun. You know the places where real heroes can go and make a difference!”

The Immutable Betsy Brooks Apart from a few beach side meetings, and maybe the odd holiday, she didn’t really have much dealings with the sea. The only drink she like to drown in normally had alcohol and maybe the odd ice-cubes, but never an umbrella. But with what she’s seen so far this all had to do with what was going on down in the bay. “Look futzing around with the radio is all well and good, but I think we need to go take a look under the water. Do we have any way to take a look under da sea?” Her poor ‘fro wasn’t going to like all this she could tell already, but the sacrfices we make to make things right.

So I'll tell you both what you find out and let the character explains thing, For Persephone For Corazone

The Immutable Betsy Brooks Whilst Betsy was from outside the city she’d spent a good deal of time getting to know the bay pretty well, but even then she knew places like Oldcorne the least. The rich tended to keep there problems to themselves, and they generally harbored a different kinds of monsters from what she was use to dealing with. “That’s the spot where all the rich old wankers live right? I mean technically that would include me I guess, but I never get any invited to there tea parties.” She’d like to think she was a half decent detective, good enough to get paid at least, but she also knew that her two companions had skill that she could do well beyond her own abilities. “So can you guys give us anything to start with?”

Lucy Harker Lucy took out a business card and a pen and began to write on the back, before passing it to Strix. “Thank you for the invitation, here’s my card if you’re in Freedom City again, I’m also a lawyer but don’t that against me! You can’t get into the Cantina unless you know the spot to enter, I’ve written the directions for Bedlam on the back. I’ve also put the cell down for Nicole she’s my friend that moved to Bedlam, and one of the good vampires as well. And next time you see Deadhead say hello from me if you would, normally I’d also give him a peck on the cheek, but you can skip that bit.” Her cheery smile dimmed a little as she went on to slightly more serious business. “What I am is a little complicated, but my father-in-darkness if you will was a vampire with delusions of grandeur. Decided to try and create the perfect un-dead creature by feeding my mother his blood to make me un-dead without the whole turning business. Didn’t work until I took a bullet and was buried for a while, took a while to make sure he wouldn’t do it to anyone else. Long enough that I have a few sisters-in-darkness.” Sensing movement from behind Lucy looked around to spy someone coming their way. “Excuse me a minute…” she offered as an apology as she stood “Hello there, how can we help you?”

Triakosia Dancia had to suppress a little grin at the aliens comments about Terrific, she was a good hero obviously but boy did she know it, but she was trying to play the senior role. “Please to meet you Kronk. You could consider me a Lady Centurion, but most call me Triakosia. I guess you could consider me the Atropos of our little trio of fates!” She guessed that Kronk wouldn’t get the reference but she enjoyed those old references to home, maybe his arrival was making her feel a little nostalgic. “I’m afraid your going to have to give us something before we let you free.”

VALKYRJA Frárvængr shock her head before settling down and letting Astrid stroke her nose <”Of cause I speak young one… a little lower if please, ah perfect! If you have some sugar or at a push carrots that would be even better.”> With a hearty laugh Valkyrja offered Astrid a handful of sugar cubes surreptitiously. “SHE TELL TALES OF A MIGHTY HERD OF WHICH SHE IS A MATRIARCH, I THINK SHE IS NOW GOING THROUGH A SECOND FOAL-HOOD. RECENTLY SHE ASKED TO BE GIVEN A CUTIE MARK.” It was difficult to tell if she was being serious or not on this thing.
-
White Lioness It was pretty obvious the Àjàṣorò at least that the whole thing was fake, apart from the obvious Summers whole body language was just wrong. It didn’t take a detective to figure out that the whole cute floofy incidence was some kind of distraction. “Yes because I can just see the headmistress doing something like this, otherwise innocent people could get in a whole lot of trouble.” she crossed her arms and scowled, she couldn’t prove anything but it was irksome. “I’m going to class, and for the record you can always get one of those tiny dogs for tiny places.”

Miss Grue I’m truly sorry for whatever harm my people cause to your family, in a small way I try to make up for the evils that they still do. There was a note of genuine sadness in her voice She then spent a few moments trying to parse what Ben was saying it helped that she could peak, just a little, to see what and who he was talking about. Maybe I oughta just video tape this, play it back in slow motion. She finally replied with a note of amusement, making sure everyone here was in the link before adding. Okay we better make sure that the Atlantean are safe and these Deep One can’t warn the others. Can you let your people know we’re on the way out? -

White Lioness Ben might be a bit of a flake and drama queen sometimes, but Àjàṣorò found him entertaining in small doses. So, with a charming smile she offered a hand to help Ben back up, as she did she leaned in conspirators to whisper to him. “Maybe we go to a shelter after school and find you an Octodog of your very own? I have some dispensation to leave the grounds for official reasons.” She them leant back up and smiled at the teacher “Of cause Ms. Hancock we wouldn’t want to miss such an important class of cause.”

Lucy Harker Lucy had been around enough detective and PI’s in her time that his read wasn’t that impressive, though she had to admit that he was good. And she was interested in finding out more about him, she sure if it was intuition or something else but there was a sadness about him. And she could appreciate that right now. She gently placed his drink in front of him and sat down opposite. “Let’s do this properly they. Hello there, I’m Lucy Harker, some call me Revenant, the West End has been my home for a very long time and I’m very protective of it and its people. I’m not sure what kind of un-dead you are but as long as everything you do is consensual and, on the level,, we’ll get along just fine. If you need to feed, I know a little place call Calavera Cantina all the food and/or drink an un-dead could need and all human friendly. I often meet a vampire friend of mine who moved out west a year of two ago.” She sipped her drink as she allowed all that to sink in before adding. “And yes this place means a lot to me, I was coming here when it was an unnamed speak-easy. I knew Jada’s Great-great-grandfather when he ran the place, guess I’m just sentimental in my old age.”

White Lioness It was tempting for a minute for Àjàṣorò to say something facetious, but she decided to go fro the truth this time “We’re not some secret aggressive nations, not any more at least. Anyone caught crossing the border is returned to correct authorities. We cooperate with all sensible neighbours.” She thought about the situation for a few minutes before adding. “I think that someone is doing this to attract our attention for some reason, for what reason we’ll have to find out when we find them.”

White Lioness It was something special that Claremont could still provide surprises, you’d think Àjàṣorò would be immune to such things but no a giant fluff beast was something completely new. For a few minutes she was tempted to leave well enough along, dog and cats didn’t met she thought with a smile, but she was nothing if not a meddler. Sighing she placed her book down where she could grab it later, she jogged along to catch up with the chaotic canine. She drew alongside the other pretty quickly, she was in pretty good shape after all. “Perhaps I can help you all in slowing down this doggy dreadnought?”

White Lioness Àjàṣorò couldn’t help but be amused by the natural conversation between the young men, it was kind of sweet and she couldn’t help but feel a little pang of envy at the companionship. Not that she’d admit it as she acted like the she was completely fine with everything. “It’s been a long week and I might have gotten the details wrong of when I check for the room. If you wish I will leave you all to your sparing, I can always go work out in the gym.” She turned as if she was going to leave but at the door she turned her head to look at the boys. “Cause I could probably kick all your asses, clothed or otherwise. You might have me on the underwater side, I’ll give you that.”

The Immutable Betsy Brooks Making sure that those she’d rescued were safe, and after quickly checking for other survivors she jumped back into the speed boat to reach the others. Gently pulling alongside the other Betsy reacted in her normal reserved manner. “So these stupid wankers are trying to pull a big con on the city, so we’re going to f*** them up right?” Thinking for a moment she also added. “I assume at least some of you saw the silver globe thing right? And that’s got to be a clue to something right?”

Ms Bright Almost instinctively Agnes begin to gently glow, shedding a soft goldern light into the darkness. She was thankful that the glow wouldn’t show any of her emotions, though thinking about it she didn’t remember that ever happening. Where did that memory come from? “Bioluminescence, for some reason it just happens natural and I can’t do anything to control it.” The whole speech he’d had given her reasons to be concerned, it sounded like the standard villain monologue stuff or at least someone with very misguided ideals. She was so tempted to just bust everyone up and be done with it, but she wanted to see what they had at the bottom so for now she’d have to ride this journey out.

Emerald spider This guy was tough and Emerald Spider figured that they’d need to try something a little diffent. As an engineer the first thing you did was look at what you have at hand, being a mostly empty warehouse there wasn’t much, except… “Step back a minute I want to try something.” she called out to Justice, not having much time to act. Once the area was free she grabbed up the open container and jammed in down on top of the villain, which if they were lucky would trap them inside the container for at least a short while.

Emerald spider Emerald Spider was as usual moving around the area doing her best to keep an overview of the fight, so far the good guys were doing well but it could go rapidly wrong. To her the best idea was for everyone to focus on just the one person until they were taken down. And she was swinging her way over to again strike Sunburn with a Spdr Blast but as she went by Technaux. With a quick few motions of her fingers she altered the Spdr Blast to fire a fine sway of quantum filaments that would blind the villain. “Time for a 404 not found for you!” she quipped at there foe And then back to Sunburn.
