GM Post The Medical examiner nod at a relatively straight forward question in this day of so far. “Of cause there wasn’t much but we boxed them ready to send to evidence. Mia if you would please?” The assistant hurried off, quick to get out of the madhouse that this place had become. And after a few minute she returned with the evidence box which she handed to Corazon with a smile. Inside was only a fresh garland of flowers and the kind of simple dress you’d see in a Jane Austin dramatization.

Valkyrja “Then I shall tell you mighty tales of our exploits, over mead to toast our victories.” she paused remember things were different now in the modern world “Though maybe some of those drink with the bubbles instead?” Looking to quickly change the subject she whistled to summon her steed, who trotted through a shimmering rainbow coloured portal. A magnificent beast, six limbed winged horse taller than “This is Frarvaengr my mighty steed and companion from long ago. She will take us via the portal, though if you wish we may fly through the sky first.”

I want to do something with one of the container, so just to check with her Super-Strength of 38 (about 4,800 lb or just over 2 tons) would she be able to lift it up and maybe drop it on him?

White Lioness “Oh I’m sorry I didn’t expect anyone to be here today...” Having a free period, and no trips back home, Àjàṣorò had decided to spend some time down in the combat simulators. Even though she didn’t need to thanks to the spirit within she still like to keep in practice, after all one day she might have to manage without the gifts of the White Lioness. Planning for a workout she had bunched her hair into two messy braids and thrown on comfortable workout clothes she’d picked up on her last trip to Nairobi. “I can come back later if you don’t want the company?”

White Lioness The problem with being a national symbol and a student in another country was that she spent much time traveling between time zone on other duties, which did merry hell for her sleep patterns. After a rather grueling official visit she’d not managed to get any sleep on the flight, instead crashing in her room and sleeping through her alarm. Quickly getting ready, her hair would have to be a little wild until after first period, she rush through the grounds and into the corridors of the school not really paying attention to who was around her as she dashed.

Lucy Harker “You are terrible you know that?” Lucy said when Jada came back to the bar “It is the night for love new and old...” Jada replied as she set up the drink order, she continued to talk about her philosophy of love but Lucy wasn’t listening as scanning the club she had spotted someone. Her coal black eye gifted her with many abilities one of which was to be able to see those of her own kind. Whilst she had met many decent and good undead in her years she had also dealt with her share of malignant spirits and hungry risen. Worse of all she found were young vampires who after reading one book or other decided that stalking people in allies or in club like this one. The older vampires were just as bad but they tended to gather in salons to play whatever power games kept them amused through the aeons. “Trouble?” Jada asked spotting that faraway look in Lucy’s eyes. “Potentially. I’ll check it out just to be sure.” Grabbing the strangers drink order she wandered over placed the drink down, before looking at the man over the top of her sunglasses her black orbs twinkling in the low lights of the club. “Do you mind if I join you?” for now she figured she’d keep things civil.

GM Post The band on the stage began to warm up, as the place started to gain a few more occupants. The club was friendly to all kinds of Jazz and often had open mic night, and many big names had played that little stage. Tonight was for lovers so they played a jazz version of a popular modern love song. Jada was placated by the pass, and if she thought it was a fake she didn’t mention anything, instead she smiled at the pair. “Of cause first drink is on the house, why don’t you join this young lawyer whilst I fetch the drink.” she gently encouraged Mali to sit in the chair opposite Davyd. And before she could be discourage she left to fetch the drinking, smiling to her Lucy when her back was turned to the pair. At the table of Ashley and Fa'Rua the busy waitress, her name-tag said Eunice, offered them each a single red rose. “A small token for you both on this night for lovers. Please let me know if you need anything else?”

Jada Johnson “Jada is just fine I never gone for anything so formal, never pays to get to big an opinion if yourself in this City.” When he graceful ordered a drink she cocked her hip and gave him a look, and a friendly smile. “Honey I've been working here since I was far to young with my father, a real family business if you will, and I’ve seen enough people to get a feel about things. Not as impressive as any powers you could imagine but it help keep us out of trouble. To late I know but long story short you’re going to have to provide ID or it’s soft drinks for you.”

Lucy Harker Lucy sipped her drink as she watched a few trickling in, she was glad that a few would show up tonight. “So anyone we should be worried about?” the owner of that voice was Jada Johnson the current owner of Chester’s, Lucy had know her great, great grandfather and original owner of the place “Well I’m sure they’re not un-dead if that helps, I can’t detect supers if that’s what you’re asking.” Lucy replied with a laugh “Guess I better player the host then and find out the hard way.” she slipped off her chair and sashayed over to the lone gentleman (Davyd) and smiled “Welcome to Chester’s I’m Jada owner of this humble establishment. Can I get you a drink whilst you wait for your companion?” With a smile Lucy watched the few that were already in the club, the cute female couple enjoying each other company. It reminded her of some the things her friends got up to when the club originally opened. “Guess things don’t really change after all, at least people can openly be who they are now.” Lucy mused happily to herself, maybe tonight would improve her centenary funk.

The Immutable Betsy Brooks Zipping through the water Betsy had a chance to consider how best to help out with the rescue. She was happy to see the others were both here and helping those in the water so with a friendly wave she made her way to the hull of the ship. Pulling alongside she grabbed some of the chains hanging down to help pull herself up the side of the ship and onto the deck, thankful that she’d inherited some of her fathers strength along with a touch of the red thirst. Unfortunately she hadn’t inherited any of her speed and despite what she might have though walking whilst drunk wasn’t the same as a rolling deck and she stumbled between all the detritus tumbling about. Though nothing was harmed but her bruised ego and that was nothing compared to helping those trapped. Coming across a few of those trapped, the tang of blood in the air helped her find them, she braced herself the best she could and lifted the container pinning them all down. “I have a boat over the side there, best get moving before I have to drop this f***ing heavy box.”

GM Post The Medical Examiner wasn’t apparently phased by Betsy energetic display, apart maybe for a slight wince when she stakes the corpse. Pulling herself up to her full height she was all business, as she deliberately directed her attention to Persephone and Sagrado. “The corpse would found in the early hours out in Oldcorne, unsurprisingly it was quickly moved to here.” there was a note of an edge in her voice at that, as anyone who lived in Vibora City knew Oldcorne was where the influential old money tended to live. “As soon as the weirdness showed itself we called you in, time of death is obviously difficult but I’d estimate it can’t be more than ten hours.”

The Immutable Betsy Brooks “Always hard to be sure what will happen with vampires what there being so many different types running around these days. But turning is about force of will and some just don’t have what it takes to come back, or sometimes they have the will not to be reborn. I hope she wasn’t stuck in this state for any time.” with an after thought she also added in Spanish <”Also so we don’t have any embarrassment later I speak decent Spanish, as you can obviously tell, and Romanian it a weird story of a great drinking partner.”> With a clap of her hands she focused herself back on the task at hand, taking back her coffee to have a few more sips. “You were just about to tell us, sorry these City Defenders here, about where the body was found.”

Okay whilst the other are busy elsewhere Betsy while try and resue people still on the ship. With her Impervious 10 I think she'd be okay on that count, so can I bring the boat she's in close and jump to a from there to grab people to safety?

Triakosia As tempting as it was right now to punch this rather irritating creature in the face it wasn’t really going to be constructive. Besides he seemed to know something, maybe something that could be helpful to finally clean up this part of the city. “We’re right in the middle of the Freedom City so destroying it like that is not an options, if it had been then we’d have done it already. And I come from a world destroyed by Terminus so I like to think I know a little of what I’m talking about.” She smiled at the alien as she tried to change track a little. “Look we don’t want to fight you here, so what can we do to convince you that we’re on the level here?”

Happy Hour, Chester's Club, West End, Freedom City 14th February 2020 Lucy wasn’t generally one to feel melancholic, she enjoyed her un-life to the fullest. But this year was going to be rough on her, the 1920 had been her time when everything swung and she was among the bright young thing. It wouldn’t be long before a century that she was originally killed, and whilst she’d missed most of it the weight of the years weighed heavy on her. People shouldn’t relive a decade more than once, and she wonder mournfully if it was be the same if she made it to the next ‘20s. Sipping her dirty Martini Lucy wasn’t really paying attention to the cub she liked to spend her time, instead of the dingy (though no longer smoky) jazz atmosphere, the club was brightly lit with table for a night for those who didn’t have a date for this special day...

Miss Grue Well you could have put it nicer, I like to think of myself more like Willie from V. And I know Davyd, who do you think helped him get better at his shifting abilities. He’s like a nephew of me in some ways. She smiled as she thought of this something that looked weird on a face full of tentacles, then she looked more serious again. And that there is Wraith, you know the other shapeshifting alien hero. If you want to check them think a message and I’ll pass on the message directly. And be gentle to those poor Deep Ones it looks like they’re being manipulated by some baddie. -
Valkyrja “Then you have not met the right Asgardians Astrid of Midgard*! Many tales of joyous antics I can tell you, including that of your father who wasn’t as stern as the saga’s do tell.” She stood back slightly and frowned, her boisterous lowering every so slightly. “I apologise if mention of your father pains you, it has been many years since I strolled the magnificent halls of Asgard and many things have changed in the centuries that I had the Valkyrjasvefn. If it hurts your soul then I shall speak no more of him, instead I will tell tales of Thrud another daughter of his that we had such antics back in the glory days of our people.” *Earth

The Traveller The two aliens looked at each others considering there options, this little Lor didn’t look that impressive and it only took a moment to decide that yes they were going to take that risk. Unluckily for them Sitara had centuries of experience and knew that they were going to attack, almost before they did, and was more than ready for there attack. As the two stepped back to attack she sprung into motion, she deploying her power pike and with two swift motions she knocked both of them off there feet spinning the pike around holding it behind her ready for if they decided to attack again. “I’d stay down if I was you, you don’t want things to get more serious.” she grinned showing how confident she was to carry out her threat.

The Traveller Sitara examined the holo as she listened to the other suggest various options, the Lor and the one Star Knight were more cautious whilst Dirge had an almost suicidal need for a glorious battle, taking along B’ka with him. She’d seen similar among warrior cultures, especially those that were in a similar situation. It was noble, if not stupid, and she admire him in some ways for all his bluster. But she’d not lose anyone on this mission, if she could help it. “The D’horn has twine belly mounted blasters that would cause carnage if they open up and even a fool doesn’t fight in a burning house. But a two pronged attack isn’t a terrible idea, but I’ll have to ask you to two to show a little stealth to begin with.” she looked at Dirge knowing he was the one she’d have to convince. With an experience from thousands, if not millions, of conflicts she had figured one of the better tactics to gain an advantage. “Okay I suggest we attack at night, Dirge and B’ka will sneak to the gate and take out the guards… quietly. Then take down the ship, if you can take control of the cannon more the better if not then a big boom. Rest of us can scale the wall and drop down to cause a ruckus, if they have an independent power source we can take out more the better. If anyone has any more suggestions I’m open to hear it.”

Ms Bright Agnes couldn’t help but smile at his statement, for a moment she considered spinning an elaborate story of woe but figured that actually the truth would probably do just as well as a fancy lie. “My past is unsure as to my origin, one day I woke up in an alley with no knowledge of how I got here. Whilst parts of the city seems familiar it sparks no memory of what had happened before.” She stared defiantly into the pastors eye, showing that everything that she was saying was the truth. “On the streets the others call me Ms Bright, due to my control of light, if I have another name I don’t know it.” Something inside her told her to protect her actual name, even through it could do no harm to tell others.

Emerald Spider Taking advantage of the situation Emerald Spider continued to bounce between the supports of the warehouse, keeping an eye out to make sure the others were making there way out safely. “Hey big guy how about we chill for a bit and chat about our issues? Maybe grab a coffee and something snackable?” Obviously this villain wasn’t going to get him to surrender, they wouldn’t be that lucky, but it would keep the focus on her allowing others to do what they needed to get done. Just to make sure she made the finger movements of her Spdr Rig to trigger bursts of kinetic carrying quantum filaments.
