ic Bedlam Burning : Beauty and the Beasts
Tiffany Korta replied to Tiffany Korta's topic in Bedlam City
GM Post For those that were less observant the approach to the park seemed pretty peaceful with few people out on the streets at this time of night. But to the enhanced senses of the undead were more attuned to the night made out small groups of thugs just out of the light read if trouble really started. For now the couple making there way to the park weren’t a threat so they lounged around chatting with each other. As they go close to the gate that lead into the park, which might have been important to the occult minded gangster as the threshold of a place, they were stopped by one of the members a reasonable built man with covered in occult looking tattoos along with the gang colors of the group they were looking for. “What are you two looking for at this time of night?”- 33 replies

Merge Trois With a smile Merge split into two, the second Merge being even more scantly dress than the first. A slightly less stylish trashy that her other clothes but pretty much suitable for the part she was playing. This Merge snuggled up against the disguised Dead Head with arms around her like they were getting to know each other very well. “Well now I can strike snuggling with a zombie off my bucket list, at least you smell better now.” The “original” Merge rolled her eyes like even she was embarrassed by the second her and added. “I’m not as good as Strix, but I can stay out of sight ready for if any trouble starts.” She stood back into the shadows, not completely hidden but hopefully the others wouldn’t be looking for her.- 33 replies

Emerald Spider Emerald Spider nodded beneath her hood, which wasn’t quite as obvious as she’d like so she added verbally. “Sure it seems like the best idea to see what’s going on at his place of work.” She pause and looked back at the Justice, hanging off the side of a nearby building as was her habit, as she considered there options before adding. “We shouldn’t probably go through the front door, just in case he’s got anything planned for intruders.”

Emerald Spider Peri decided to do one more time to make sure that Metamind was safely taken out of the picture, taking advantage of fact that she’d already disabled him for now. Better safe than sorry after all. Keeping moving and watching out for any of his allies, generally her normal methods but she wasn’t that use to fighting with other often. In the right position she made the hand movements to create a binding field of quantum form around him, hopefully holding him in place long enough to help defeat the other villains. “Stick around! I’ll pop back for you later!”

Merge Trois Merge tried not to smile at the insult, it might seem strange but it was her whole stick so being underestimated was a good days work. Telepath were always a gamble to dig the power behind Merge, but this time they didn’t seem to have gotten a clue here. “Yeah well I might be tacky, but I make tacky looks good!” she brushed off fictional dust from her shoulder to emphasis the point. Looking around she added with a degree of seriousness. “Now the rest of these people they don’t deserve the insults, so you bet I’m going to help them take down your skinny ass!”

Liam Conner Being more physically capable Liam got to do the sneaking about dropping to the bottom of the fire escape and looking around and quickly spotting the guards having a crafty cigarette. Still it was no problem, he’d had plenty of experience sneaking out of the mansion to go on date with his boyfriend, so he quickly made his way unseen to the warehouse to find the other. Still this was still Rosa investigation so as he approached the other heroes they shifted back to her. Doctor Rosa Thorne “Better be careful not to make to much noise still a few thugs hanging around outside. So what have we found out now?”

Ms Bright Agnes smile the wicked smile of someone that been permission to act a certain way. “You really shouldn’t have done that, I was happy to let you fly out of here, but now we’re going to have settle this the my way now.” Her aura glowed that much brighter, maybe not as bright as the winged woman, but she wasn’t that bothered her punches would still be as powerful as ever. And she was so looking forward to doing this. “Everyone claims that in the beginning but the only important thing is who’s standing when the sun rises with the dawn. Let’s see who that will be shall we?” Then she threw the first punch.
-
Ms Bright will throw the first punch on this one Attack Roll: 1d20+7 20, if that hit DC 22 Toughness.
-
Rosa will shifted to Liam and let him do the heavy lifting on this one, Stealth: 1d20+20 27.

GM Post Valeria relaxed a little as the little tech club seemed to settle down to actually do some work, as long as there were no new surprises, she might make it through the hour relatively peaceful. “Is everything going well Ms Velásquez?” Valeria almost jumped at the sudden arrival of the Headmistresses; how could someone be so quiet without any powers? “Everything has settled down now Headmistresses.” She still felt like a junior when talking to her “Good, good, I look forward to seeing if we produce anything they could take to the ArchTech Expo.”

VALKYRJA The ancient Asgardian didn’t understand such modern technology, and Bobbi never had the time for arcades when she was younger, but something seemed a little off about the whole thing. But it wasn’t her place to say so watched the whole scene unfold with any comments. It was nice to see the joy on Raya’s face as she approached the cabinet. However, after a few minutes play even Valkyrja could tell that something wasn’t quite right with the whole situation. She stepped forward to put a hand on the young women’s shoulder, as she turned and glared at the old man. “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO HERE OLD MAN? IF SHE IS IN ANYWAY HARMED YOU WILL FEEL MY WRATH!”
-
The Immutable Betsy Brooks “Guess I’m the older voice of reason here then, not that I feel that way some f*** mornings. I’d tell you how I manage to look so young, but it’s not a something I recommend.” She sipped her coffee, before with a shrug adding. “Look as several very, very expensive school will tell you I’m not good with authority. All I really got from them was this bloody accent and knowledge of how to sneak out of many schools to find a good time. But to be honest this is a really good deal and I suggest as many of you take the deal as possible. But I’ve someone been saddled with keeping an eye out on those that the city overlooks, Occult Americans if you will. If they think I’m working to much with the authorities any goodwill will quickly evaporate. It’s probably the first time in over thirty years I’ve been able to give something back, and why I can’t quite work out why it’s a burden I’ve taken up.”

Merge Trois Things seemed to be settling down a little but there was always a chance that things could start back up again. Merge thought for a few seconds and decided that for now it was best to reduced potential trouble, if necessary, taking the blame as the rogue elements. She wasn’t planning to cause any harm as she bundled the troopers with a number of herselves, but when she landed on them, they folded quicker and easier than she’d expected. This couldn’t be good. “Well that can’t be a good thing!”

Madame Raven Power Level: 8/12 (180/180PP) Unspent Power Points: 0 Trade-Offs: +2 Attack / -2 Damage In Brief: A time displaced Callie Summer enjoys the 21st Centuy. Catchphrase: Don’t forget to like and subscribe. Alternate Identity: Calliope “Callie” Sen (Public) or Calliope “Callie” Summers (Secret) Birthplace: Hong Kong Residence: Apartment in New York and the dorms in Claremont Base of Operations: Claremont Academy, Bayview, Freedom City, New Jersey Occupation: Student and Influencer Affiliations: Students of Claremont Family: Doctor Sin (Grandfather), Duncan Summers (Father), Jasmine Sin (Mother), Callie Summers (Possible future self) Description: Age: 16 (DoB: 23rd Februrary1973) Apparent Age: 16 Gender: Female Ethnicity: Asian / European mix Height: 5’7” Weight: 110 lbs Eyes: Green Hair: Black Whilst still having a little baby fat around the face Callie still shows the beauty that she inherited from her mother, though often marred by the scowl she got from her father. At the right angle, she also looks similar to her older duplicate, but not quite the same, like how on movies and television they hire a younger actor they hire to play the child version of the main character but they don't quite look the same. Not that Callie really minds as since her arrival she's made an effort to stand apart from her older self, cutting her hair short rather than the long hair that she's almost always used to wear it. Her clothes and makeup are all of the most fashionable available, but everything is either ethically sourced or from thrift stores. Her costume is a variant on the classic Raven costume, but made up of common available materials, the costume is mostly heavily modified motorcycle leathers with a pair of long lace-up boots. When needed she wears a domino mask, the only think she kept from the original Raven costume. Finally the cloak is a home made traditional cloth cloak with the scalloped feather like design at the bottom. Even her utility belt is a makeshift affair, a little less graceful than the original Raven design. Many of the gadgets insides are from those borrowed from the Raven suit, though she is very capable of making her own. History: Knowing nothing about her past as the granddaughter of the criminal mastermind Doctor Sin Callie grew up a fairly normal life, if one of incredible comfort as her father was one of the richest men in America. She also didn’t know that he was the masked Vigilante Raven, Duncan making sure that she was isolated from this world but also socially aware taking part in many of his many charities. She lived in New York, and experienced all the city had to offer, as well as going to the very exclusive Claremont School in Freedom City. On the eve of her sixteenth birthday, where at her party she’d learn that she was the daughter of Raven and granddaughter of Dr Sin, she was suddenly awoken by a strange woman in her apartment who was dressed in strange clothes that no one in ‘89 would dress. Her nanny / bodyguard Winnie Napier tried to stop the woman but in the struggle there was a flash of light and the pair found themselves in 2020, with the strange time traveller being nowhere to be found. The two quickly determined that they had somehow been transported thirty years into the future. As her older self wasn’t around Callie and her guardian took up residence whilst they decided what to do, as was the habit of her father the place was well enough stocked to keep then supplied for weeks. Whilst learning about the world through television and, eventually, computers and the internet. Staying inside for now Callie began to notice something odd about the dimensions of the apartment. Whilst her father hadn’t told her his secret, he had made sure to teach her the skills to be able to analyse the world around her, as well as self defence, along side the regular education. These skills allowed her to find where her future self had kept a spare version of the costume, even though she had given up the mantle a few years ago, and it didn’t take much to figure out that someone who lived here was the hero Raven (though she hadn’t figured out it was the future her). She couldn’t help but try on the costume and going a little stir crazy going out and about in New York city, and one thing led to another and she ended up stopping a mugging. That was it and she was hooked going out most nights to fight crime whilst she spend day, mostly afternoons, getting up to speed with modern culture. Becoming fascinated with social media she began to post blogs and video’s in character as Madame Raven. Her senior version had already began to suspect something was going on before Callie began posting on the internet and she quickly worked out where Callie and Winnie had been staying. And then with a quick trip from Freedom City to New York the Callie’s finally met each other. Both being as strong willed as each other the meeting didn’t go well but the younger Callie saw the wisdom in enlisting the aid of the adult herself. All travelling back to Freedom City the older Callie with the assistance of her father and the League determined that this was a younger version of herself and that it appeared to be her from the past, though the timeline didn’t appear to have changed. This was perplexing and they decided it was best to keep the younger Callie here whilst they figured out what as the truth, meanwhile they’d need to do something with the younger Callie whilst they investigated further. So it was decided, not that the younger Callie had a choice in the matter, that she would again attend Claremont and learn alongside other teen heroes. But she was strictly forbidden from going out heroing, though Callie had other ideas on this matter... Personality & Motivation: Whilst Callie tries to play it cool she genuinely enjoys being a hero, and being in the future, leading to her sometimes getting a little over enthusiastic. A cheerful upbeat eternal optimist she all tries to see the bright side of any situation and to encourage others to carry on despite the bleakness of the situation. A people person Callie enjoys the company of others, though she respects others boundaries, more than happy to keep up both sides of the conversation. With the natural charm of her mother she finds it easy to get on with most people, with only her own future self being hard to reach for many reasons. Powers & Tactics: Having now powers Madame Raven has to work hard to gain any advantage in a situation. Often that means improvising by using whatever is at hand to achieve that goal. She has a few gadgets which she uses often in a crisis, having studied other raven using these weapons in many situation. Whilst she has no formal training she has inherited a quite tactical mind that she can use to her advantage, though she often suffers from either her inexperience or overconfidence. Power Descriptions: Callie is a peak human with no powers, mostly through hours of exercise and education that her father had encouraged her to do. Her brief time as a hero as well as her further education at Claremont has increased her abilities to among the best a human can achieve at her age. Complications: A congress of Ravens: her future self is the Headmistress of the school and as such tries to interfere in Callie’s life, even if she tries to be subtle. This often places Callie in situations she really doesn’t want to be in. A conspiracy of Ravens: Someone bought her into the future, potentially breaking the timeline, who and why are unknown. She may occasional suffer weird temporal effects at the most inopportune of moments. An aerie of Ravens: Whilst she more or less accumulated to the 21st century this isn’t her home time and sometime she feels lost in a world isn’t her own. She hides it mostly but someone in the know could trigger her homesickness. A murder of Ravens: Over the years the Raven has gained a number of enemies overs the years, both her father and (future) self. A storytelling of Ravens: Being a fervent blogger and you-tuber much of Madame Ravens superhero life is well documented, something that a villain can use to counter an attack or gain an advantage on her. Unkindness of Ravens: Though she hides it well Callie has a certain amount of uncertainty, having been a hero for less than a years. Someone playing on those insecurities could effect her efficiency in a conflict. The Immutable Betsy Brooks Betsy continued to sip the coffee as the others continued to discuss options, dealing with and subverting authority was something she’d been doing since school. Still these bloody yanks had a talent for making all this more complicated. “With all respect sweetie this is probably a discussion we should have elsewhere, wall have f*** ears and all that!” She flicked out her card into her hands, and waved it around to emphasis her next point. “Look I have a place and number if we want to keep in tough for now, and I know this great little Pizza place if we want to discuss an alternative headquarters for the not officials.”

VALKYRJA With the game up, so to speak, Valkyrja stepped out of behind the building and towards the old man. As was her way she strolled with some confidence her two handed sword over her shoulder, non threatening but ready if necessary. She smiled confidently at the two allowing, being as friendly as she could. “SO YOU ARE THE MAN THAT IS OFFERING THE CABINET OF VIDEO? FOR I AM HERE TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL IS CONDUCTED FAIRLY, FOR I BELIEVE THAT THERE HAVE BEEN STORIES ABOUT WHAT IT CAN DO.” She didn’t understand this all, neither of them did but that didn’t mean that they couldn’t help in this situation.

Just to be safe Merge will goon sweep the rest of the Troopers Attack Roll: 1d20+12 20. DC 23 Toughness Save and Takedown as needed.

White Lioness Àjàṣorò followed along with the conversation and confession, not quite sure if she had much to add. Still she guessed she had a story to tell and now was as a good a time as any. “When the spirit that imbues me with power moves on it take with it an echo of the previous owners, I need to sort out if these feeling are mine or from those that came before. Was I attracted to both boys and girl before, I’m not sure and I guess here as good a place to find out as any.” She pause before adding to the other part of the discussion. “I do have some experience of organizing things, it was drummed into us from an early age. But I’m not sure if I’m best to lead, I often have responsibilities that take me away from time to time.”
-
Sorry for the lack of post recently I've been having a few 'net problem that made it all a little hinky. Should hopefully be sorted by the weekend so I can try and catch up.

Emerald Spider Peri was smart, very smart, but she was also very observant, it wasn’t something that she’d gained from the suit she’d always been that way. At a glance she picked up blood on the man, but that really didn’t mean much for someone that was stalking and killing people at least not for now. However she could spot something that might help. “Did you see this?” she pointed out the label she spotted “I know this area pretty well and that's from a warehouse pretty close to here. Couldn’t hurt to check it out, if your up for it obviously?”
