Theme: Immigrant Song Alternate Identity: Bobbi Takhi Foster (Secret) / Sanngriðr "Very Violent" Birthplace: Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada Residence: Norumbega, Arcadia, Nova Scotia, Canada Base of Operations: East Coast of Canada and America Occupation: Doctor Affiliations: Acadian First Nation Family: Valarie Foster (Mother), Barbera Foster, Sian Foster, Samantha Foster, Anna Foster (Sisters) Description: Age: 26 (DoB: May 8th 1993) / As old as the first battlefield Apparent Age: early 30's as Valkyrha Gender: Female Ethnicity: Indigenous Canadian (Mi'kmaw) / Asgardian Height: 5'7" / 6'3" Weight: 130 lbs / 210 lbs Eyes: Brown Hair: Black When Bobbi becomes to Valkyrja her features shift to become a merger of Sanngriðr and Bobbi features, and at a squint someone in the know might see those of the Umkoomeeskw sprinkled in there. Sanngriðr’s original physical appearance has been lost thanks to her time spent in Valkyrjasvefn, not that she seems to care as she vastly prefers her current form and would keep it even when separated from Bobbi. Whilst her voice is deeper and more bombastic it has a qualities of the local accent, with the occasional slip into to more Nordic tones when she becomes more excitable. Hrímvörður the magical Asgardian armour has also been suitably effected by the imagination of Bobbi rather than the armour worn by at the time it appears as the full plate worn by medieval knights. As befits armor forged by the dwarves of Niðavellir the armor is as light as cloth and allows Valkyrha the full range of movement. More traditionally Norse is the sword she carries, Hrímbíta, in style looking similar to there designs. This is even though traditionally they didn‘t make swords in its size, being as tall as Valkyrja herself. The sword magic means it glows with a faint blue-white light when Valkyrja wills it so. History: A tale know to only a few in Asgards tells of a journey to the New World from Greenland, well before that embarked on by Lief Erikson. The journey was by the storngest of all warrior of the country, as order by The All-father himself to investigate the tales of a place told by the Greenland Inuit to the Norse settlers that they shared there new home with. Amoung the men going Viking there was also Sanngriðr a Valkyrja sent to help defend the Norsemen and explore this new land. Though the journey was short it was harrowing with the ship going far from shore and ending the journey well off course with the little craft landed at the southern point of what would one day be called Newfoundland. Whilst the relieved Norsemen offered prayers to the gods and began to set up a camp, unbeknownst to them they were being watched by the local inhabitants of the land, the Mi'kmaw people. Worried about these strangers they fetched the protector of the land, Umkoomeeskw a woman empowered by the spirits of the land. With her protection the Mi’kmaw went to meet these strange newcomers to this land. Stories differ as to who started what but Sanngriðr and Umkoomeeskw began to bicker and then fight. This was no ordinary moral fight, for both were creatures of magic, they struggled for three days and nights and devastated a vast area of forest around them. Then finally exhausted the two heroes declared the fight a draw and after joyous celebration to two retreated to negotiate a peace. The negotiation took several day, and it rumoured that the two women did more than just talk, but in the end the two swore a pact. There would be a peace among the two groups and to seal the deal Sanngriðr would bind herself to her Great Sword, Hrímbíta, to act as a guardian until a time she was need by a daughter of the frost. The sword was place under a Runestone that told the tale in of the encounter and placed where the battle had taken. Then when the winter was over the Norsemen returned to Iceland and the place was forgotten about for many centuries. Over the intervening centuries others came and settled the land building all across Newfoundland, including the town of Norumbega near where the Norsemen had once been and Hrímbíta now sat beneath a Runestone. And whilst thing weren’t always perfect a fragile peace always seemed to be hold around the town between the local and the newcomers. As Bobbi was born during the first frost of the year was given the her mother gave her the Mi'kmaw middle name of name Tahki, inadvertently fulfilling Sanngriðr’s prophecy that had been lost to the ages. Bobbi Tahki Foster was an intelligent and wilful child who from an early age had decided that she wanted to be a doctor (or an astronaut it was a split decision really), and apart from being forced to go outside with her sister (which she did enjoy) all her time was spent studying to follow her dreams. Bobbi was rewarded for this hard work with a scholarship to a University of Toronto, a place that was a shock for this small town girl. Most of her time in Toronto was spent the time working her butt of to get through the seven years a medical school. Unknown to her toward the end of her studies, when she was finally about to be truly become a Doctor, archaeologist near her town discovered the fallen Norse Runestone. Days before she returned home the archaeologist uncovered the great sword Hrímbíta, still in perfect conditions after all these centuries. The uncovering of the sword however had allowed it magical nature to be obvious to unfriendly magical forces. The Thule Society a mystical group who wished to dominate the Earth invaded the town of Norumbega looking to recover the sword and use the bound Sanngriðr to help then in there plans of conquest. What they didn’t count on was the returning Bobbi, looking to fight the forces who had conquered the town, who snuck into the towns meeting hall and grabbed the sword to defend herself. Being a frost born mortal she finally fulfilled the pact allowing Sanngriðr to return to Midgard by possessing Bobbi’s body. Or not exactly merge, the two became entangled becoming a completely new being the Valkyrja. Together they easily defeated the Thule Socity freeing the town from them foul influence. Once the trouble Valkyrja discovered what had changed over the centuries, including the Pact that meant she could not walk on the Earth without being bound to this mortal woman. Whilst she could have chosen to return to Asgard she still felt a commitment to help this land, not just this small-town but the entire America’s. Bobbi who still had her own autonomy decided to stay in her home town and help the population by becoming a local doctor, though she was more than happy to become Valkyrja again when needed to help those in trouble. Personality & Motivation: Bobbi is strong willed capable woman, a skilled doctor who won’t take any guff from anyone. She despite her curmudgeon appearance she is however a very caring person, trying her best to help those in need. It helps that despite her gruff exterior she also has not a small amount of wit and charm that offsets this. Valkyrja is in some way an Bobbi turned up to eleven, her manners might be less sarcastic and curmudgeonly, but she’s also a will person who will not take no for an answer when her mind is made up. She’s prone to use violence to solve her problems, though she’s careful not to harm other unless the situation truly demand it to be so. Her time among humanity has taught her to admire there heroism and deeds of bravery, she doesn’t think of Asgardians as greater being. In some ways what she’d discovered has made her think o f them in some ways superiors, or at least some of them. Powers & Tactics: Sanngriðr has been in many battles in her time, and whilst renowned for her ferocity in a fight (her name meaning Very Violent after all), she has also managed to pick up some tactics in her time. If she has any fault it is that she still getting use to the modern world, and more technological technologies and tactics can sometime make her read the fight wrongly. Her armor allows her to often get away with this flaw, but she can easily be felled by a powered modern weapon or even superpowers. After all the wide variety modern superpowers didn’t exists when she was last wandering the Earth. Power Descriptions: Upon grasping the handle of Hrímbíta, the blade normally intangible, and willing it to be so Bobbi transforms in the Asgardian warrior Sanngriðr, also called Valkyrja. As an Asgardian her body is much stronger and more durable than a typical mortal, and whilst she does not have the normal senses of a Valkyrie she still has a vast store of knowledge as a warrior of old. To return to Valkyrja she needs to again grasp the hilt again and will herself to return to the form of Bobbi, even if separated to from the sword she is not adversely affected. In addition to this she has dwarven forged magical armor, Hrímvörður, in addition to the greatsword that enables her to shrug off almost any harm that be caused by human forged weapons. Hrímbíta is also a great weapon even in the modern world and with her skill with the blade she is even able to throw it with enough great force to cause harm. Complications: Kalla á Ásgarðr: Whist long has Sanngriðr been away from her homeland she is still both a Valkyrie and an Asgardian and my be called up to do her duty to protect her kind. Óvinur á Thule: The Thule Society wishes to capture and control Valkyrja for there own ends, and will occasional make her life more difficult. They do not know about the connection between Bobbi and Valkyrja, but if they ever did they could put Bobbi and her family in great danger. Staðbundin Hetja: Norumbega is a small town and it's almost impossible to hide anything from the local gossip, let alone a Valkyrie and her flying horse. Most everyone in the town knows that Bobbi is Valkyrja, though few would say anything to her let alone outsiders.Still there maybe be a few that would like to use this knowledge to profit in some way... Whilst Valkyrja isn’t a healer in any ways she is influenced by Bobbi’s to help the wounded and sick.   3. Miss Grue Daphne Celeste Miss Grue is exactly what she sounds like one of the Grue, aliens shapeshifting set on conquering all non Grue. Separated from the Grue hive mind she grew up to become a hero on Earth. History Our story starts with a minor struggle between a Grue and Lor ship about 16 light years from Earth. The Grue ship was destroyed and only one infiltration pod survived, though it was heavily damaged, the Grue clone onboard was activated and the AI in control of the mission tried to lock onto a Grue system to return it precious cargo, though only at sublight as it’s jump engines were inoperable. In there damaged state the AI locked onto broadcasts from Earth and mistook them as instruction, so as it was designed to do it began to raise the “infant” Grue, who couldn’t be speed matured due to damaged equipment. Monitoring the signals the AI began to absorb the information and began to develop a personality of her own as a mothering figure to the young Grue calling herself Mother Unit. The young Grue was enraptured by the programs she was allowed to watch, especially the young woman on the show and she began to develop her own identity, thinking of herself as female, and wanting to be a heroine herself helping people when she can. Subtly altered by cosmic rays, the shielding still damaged, her identity drifted away from the more amorphous form of the Grue to a more feminine form. It also expanded her abilities to allow her to phase through matter, something that a bit of a shock when it first happened. After sixteen years for the occupants, though a few chronotron leaks from the drive made it shorter for the ship, they arrived at Earth where Daphne Celeste, the name she’d chosen for herself, arrived in Freedom City determined to do her bit as the cities newest hero Miss Grue!   4. The Traveller Sitara didn't pause as she accessed the panel for the door the Engineering, it must have closed as a safety feature when the accident happened. Whilst focused on the panel she was still paying enough attention to answer the question. “Good question! And the answer is we don’t know, they happen rarely enough that we can’t gauge there intelligence. Beside they’re so alien in nature I’m not sure we’d even be able to tell.” She stood up as the panel made a friendly little beep, with a satisfied look she smiled at the teen before deploying her power pike and asking “You ready for this?”

But it was also possible that whoever had constructed this had taken all this from her memories, but with what was going to happen she had to act as if it was really happening. “Okay bad news is as far as I can tell we’re really in the past.” she gently began to hustle them to move to a safe distance, a clock ominously counting down in the corner of her HUD “Now I suggest we move with some speed, as this area is due to come under orbital bombardment very, very soon...”

I like to think she’s like a daughter.> there was a note of pride in her voice <I provide a correct moral backbone for her to better assimilate into you human society.> Daphne had returned to her normal side and was sitting cross legged on the desk, being amused with the entire conversation. She loved her Mother Unit, but she could be to much sometimes. “It’s part of our nature to shapeshift, but we have to practice to get really good at it. Hopefully I can teach you the odd trick or two!”
  7. The Traveller She’d allowed the Ambassador to say his piece before responding to the teenagers, she found there wonder quite refreshing. She knelt down besides Dayvid, she’d not heard many of the accents of Earth so she found it fascinating. “Tell you what once we’re done, and your mentor agree’s, I’ll take you out in the Kavaca. Seven’s here...” she gestures to the probe 777 “... has found so interesting stuff near this systems Kuiper belt. We might be able to manage some zero-G stuff.” She smiled to herself as the Ambassador talked up the species there were there to visit join the interstellar community “They’re got a terrible night life though, not a decent dive bar on the entire planet!” she looked a sheepish before adding “If your old enough to drink obviously, things were very different when I was growing up!”
  8. White Lioness When she’d brought attention to the events back in Dakana she’d never expected that it would lead to this, not that she regretted it at all. In fact she was enjoying herself immensely, she wondered if her fellow Claremont students were having such a fun filled summer. This time she wore a brightly colored dress as bright as the sun itself. “Well I’m not a slough in the sneaking department, but I’m more than happy to play distraction. I look forward to reading the new sites once the pictures get out!”

White Lioness Now home Àjàṣorò was free to dress less like the fashions of America and adopt those of the region, not that she couldn’t dress like this at Claremont she’d just chosen that style when there. Now she was dressed in her favorite Kitenge fashions, color vibrant clothes that suited her perfectly. “A royal visit would be a good chance to poke around it true.” she beamed at her friend's willingness to go adventuring. “And I’ve heard that the process itself it quite fascinating to watch!” With a conspiratorial smile she added. “I’ve already arrange transport to the town, nothing to obsteancious this time so not to tip people off. If people need anything I’m sure we can arrange it, within reason I don’t want dad or even the Ghost Dog’s poking around to much!”

GM Post Finally out of sight of the other the stranger finally revealed their true form, shifting into that of a Grue, but there was something vaguely familiar about their form, even though by their nature were all the same. “I’m D’ph’ne and I’m sorry if I cause any harm humans, this is all very new to me.” Nervously tucked their hair behind their ear, this was really looking familiar to Casey but from where? “I’ve been trying to familiarise myself with you culture to be able to fit into in flawlessly, have I done something wrong here?”

Triakosia Pasties was always a good way to start a conversation, and she happily tried a turnover, she was happily that her superhuman constitution that she didn’t have to worry about her diet. “Thank’s these are pretty good, and please call me Dancia.” At the complement of her costume, she gave a rather embarrassed shrug. She wasn’t embarrassed by the costume itself, she was proud of what it represented both her and the Earth that she’d have come from so many years ago. “Truth be told this is just the uniform from the unit I originally served with, and obviously the same sources as the big guy we’re hovering above!”

Ms Bright Agnes rolled her eyes at his comments, she’d heard the same rhetoric from many people that seemed to think they could help save the homeless just by some sort of faith. “It helps that I’ve had to live among the hopeless, I doubt you’ve spent any time down here to see how they suffer, and do what you can to help them rebuild their lives.” She clenched her fist once more, but then relaxed them again, she might be prepared to fight when needed but there was a time and place for other options. “How exactly are you help these people? Have you been saving these people by kidnapping them, if so where do they go?”

Emerald Spider Emerald Spider was always one to keep in motion, taking the momentum from escaping the explosion to roll up, before rolling and jumping up to stick against the closest lamp post. “You’ve got to try harder to hit this itsy bitsy spider!” Spinning towards the opponent she made the relevant hand gestures to send out a stream of entwining supersting webs towards the enemy. She went for bluntforce rather than entangling for now, she wanted all his attention on her whilst she allowed Justice a chance to recover.

Doctor Thorne As she watched Judex clambered up the fire escape she brief had an inner conversation with Liam, as much as she hated to admit it right now he was probably best able to help in the situation. “Oh go on then, have your fun!” Liam Conner With his bulk he quickly made his way down the fire escape, but he’d also had enough grace to do it without making any real noise. He’d done similar things during his time in the forces. Likewise he was light on his feet allowing him to move pass the crowd without being seen, until he was besides Judex again.
  17. Bee Melissa smiled up at the professor, she always knew that Professor Xiu was her favorite. Whilst she might be the newest of the heroes here she felt she was just the right one of them to answer. “Thanks for your help Professor, well take it from here.” She took to the air on her tiny bee like wings and flew to the door, stopping to hover at the door and talk to the other heroes. She should have felt nervous at talking to these older heroes, but instead she felt excited at the chance to solve this mystery. “Shall we go take a look then?”

Triakosia “Hello EmmGee good to see you again, though I don’t think I’ve had the pleasure of meeting you before Fulcrum.” Dancia’s eyes snapped open and she gave the other two paragons a broad smile. “Well that's not quite what I was expecting, you look smaller in the picture, still never kick a gift pastie in the mouth I always say!” She floats over the pair but stopped a little distance away looking a little sheepish. “Where are my manners? My name is Triakosia, and I’m very pleased to meet you!”

Utando wa Buibui, Dakana The Buibui Waridi, the Rose Spiders were a small clan that specialized in micro-engineering and nanotechnology, making medical scanners and other surgery equipment using Daka crystals in almost artistic ways. Recently there had been a few disturbing rumors that a few of their supplies of Daka crystal had been disappearing across the border. Such rumors had reached the ear of the Palace, though none had yet taken a look. There home town, Utando wa Buibui, was also on the way the lakeside Summer palace of the White Lions, where the two teenage children of the King were taking friends to enjoy the natural springs and (mostly) crocodile and hippo free waters for a few days of summer. How could they not take a few hours just to take a quick look into things, they had the entire summer to enjoy the lake after all...
  21. Triakosia It had been a long day, a couple of villains to stop,a few bank robberies and an apartment fire. She needed a moment or two to gather her wits about herself before returning to everyday life. She liked to sometimes float in orbit and just watch the world float by, but she didn’t have the time so for now she choose somewhere a little more local. The statue was a good a place as any, as she felt a companionship with her “cousin” from the same earth as herself. Floating cross legged a few meters above the head of the statue Triakosia was meditating, but she wasn’t completely unaware as her senses took in everything going on around her. “If you're looking for a fight I have to warn you it’s been a very long day!”
  22. Bee Melissa was quite impressed with all the heroes here she recognized many of them, here uncle had told her many tales about them, and she was sure the others were pretty good as well. She wasn’t the most experienced of the heroes here, but she was sure she could assist in her own special way. “Hang on a minute, shouldn’t we gather more information first? Mz Terrifca, ma’am! If we can determine why the students were picked that would help right, it might be a grudge or there after a certain type of brain chemistry like the proteins that help form memories or some such?” Feeling a little self conscious after speaking up in front of the more experienced heroes, and looked down and shuffled her feet a little. “At least if that makes sense?”

  24. Bee Melissa had like the old Maggie, in her mind she spent way more time partying than studying, this was after she’d pulled an all nighter on a potentially improvement to her formula. But her stories were always fun, from what she overheard when she surfaced to finally eat something, Melissa wasn’t cool enough to ever be invited to the same parties as Maggie. She’d heard stories about the other cases but had initially paid them no heed, students burned out all the time after all, but this was enough to get her interest. And it didn’t take much digging, including shrinking down and sneaking into the Universities records (who kept paper records these days?), until Melissa had found all she could. Helpfully it seems Professor Xiu, one of her favorites, was already looking for help so she’d snuck into the office to see who else would turn up. But the opportunity to make an entrance was just too good to pass up, so the 3 inch Bee wandered to the middle of the desk and wave up at the to. “Well some of us are already here! Hi I’m Bee and I’m here to help.”
