  1. GM Post There was a little ripple of applause as Miracle Girl arrived on the scene, many probably thinking it part of the show - this was Freedom City after all. Either way, this was a show that would be talked about around the campus for a few months at least, for all the disturbance that would more or less guarantee the success of the show. The Grueperlet was relatively calm raising her hand in surrender. “I’m sorry there must be some kind of misunderstanding here? I don’t think I’m who you think I am?” She did begin to cautiously move towards the exits, for now following the order of the (visible) superhero in the room.
  2. Zhenshchina-voin She might not be as resilient as Dreadnaught, though she wasn’t a slouch in any measure, but she’d grown up in the mountains of Altai so was used to the rarefied air up at heights so this was nothing but bracing. She wondered a little about the possible spirits of this land, and how they’d react to there presence. Back how they interacted with spirits fairly regularly, having long arrangements with some that went back to the founding to her people. But she’d been away from there for a very long time, and the agreement of those there didn’t translate to the spirits of this one village in Wales. “We don’t know what we’ll find so I suggest that we go in with a soft touch, Morgan can be a bit of a blunt instrument so there may be another side going on here.”

  4. Triakosia Daisy listened carefully and attentively to the passengers as he helpfully explained what happened, it was fairly mundane stuff but without it, she wouldn’t have a clue to what to look for. Being a metaphorical alien, a human from another Earth, she was a little sensitive to his comments about the Apes even if they were potential criminals. “Now, now we shouldn’t judge people before knowing the whole story, even Ape henchmen. I do plan to find out what's happening, however.” She slowly drifted into the air concentrating her senses on picking up the zeppelins, it wasn’t easy they tended to be pretty quiet, but there should be enough noise from the engines for her to find them from anywhere within the state. “One more thing, who exactly was Abe?”
  5. With thanks to the suggestions by Ari, and in honour of, Into the Spider-Verse we have a choice of the following: Your Best Self Somehow, some way, your character discovers someone or is discovered by someone who epitomizes everything they want to be. Someone who did better with the same hand life dealt the PC, someone, who succeeded where the PC failed, in some clear and inarguable way a better person than the PC. The drama can come from any way you like, maybe the meeting comes from a fight with a supervillain who's torn some rent, in reality, potentially forcing one or the other to sacrifice themselves to protect their home dimension. Maybe it's just a chance meeting with a stranger whose life story mirrors yet exceeds the PC's in some way. In any respect, the point is to force an examination: are they who they want to be, and why? What's the significance of someone who can literally be you and be you better? Is it just luck? fate? Could the PC be more like that, and if so do they really want to, now they see what it means? Or alternatively, The Me beside of Me It's a time of new beginnings! Endless possibilities and roads yet to be taken, which is why it seems fitting how in January of 2019, dimensional duplicates of random started popping up, and heroes and villains from other worlds briefly stumbled into their doppelgangers for hilarious misunderstandings, brutal combat, nights on the town or just solving an everyday doomsday crisis. Some were nasty, some were nice, some were another sort of spice, but all together they helped make the first month of the new year an exciting time to be alive! Or at any rate, self-aware. Please post them here by February 28th. (As a reminder, vignettes follow the same general rules as posts in terms of content, player character limits, and so on. You may have only one vignette per player character. Each vignette should be at least one page (~500 words) in length; if posted in your thread counts at the end of the month, it is worth 1pp for the associated character. An especially long vignette, 1000 words or more, may be worth up to 2pp. Multiple players can collaborate on a single vignette - we recommend Google Docs for this, it's very useful - but the vignette should be about one page per participating player. )
  6. Okay threads are up with the following characters: Forever Boy, Sun Dragon and Ms Thurday in SOPHie's Choice: Shock to the System and Delta, Lord Steam and Hazmat in SOPHie's Choice: Between a Rock and the Deep Blue Sea
  7. Out of Character Stuff for this. Pretty straightforward heroes investigating objects for this one.
  8. ... All be aware that a special transdimensional craft, the Seeker of Perpetual Harmony [Image Enclosed] is active in the Sol system. A reward is offered for any data people can collect on the vehicle, especially if it can be convinced to return to the station. The vehicle isn’t dangerous but is single-minded in its mission across the dimensions... Praetorian Bulletin, CoVic Station Liberty Park, Freedom City, United States, Sol III System 09:00 EST 3rd January 2019 To those on the planet itself knew nothing of this craft, for all they knew it was a strange silver craft shaped vaguely like a Horseshoe Crab. Even though it was a new year it was more or less business as usual with the craft hovering just above the ground in Liberty Park. Apparently, it was waiting patiently for people to turn up to investigate its sudden arrival in this local. Not that it had to wait long in a city of heroes...
  9. OOC for this here. Trying for a little different start here, a post or two about your characters before the plot proper starts. This will all make sense trust me!
  10. Claremont Academy Early January It wasn’t unusual for new students to arrive at the academy, powers didn’t exactly keep to school schedules, but the latest student had certainly made an impact. The young African American woman, Dana Devons, always dressed in a strange throwback style, leather jacket over a t-shirt and a skirt normally very short and a pair of solid platform boots. Her hair was shaved on one side with the mass of her hair swept over the over side covering the eye. With her deliberately punky clothes came an attitude she was surly and argumentive suggesting that she really didn’t want to be friends with anyone. Not that it didn’t stop some seeing that as a challenge...

  12. GM Post “The best option is to go take a look at there jump engines if there’s any leak over between dimensions it’ll be there! Let’s go take a look!” As they got towards the rear of the ship, where Sitara explained the warp engines were located, the gleaming white corridors got a little less cleaner. But it wasn’t the dirty look of the workings parts of the ships there were circular marks around the corridor and the smell of ozone that suggested there had recently been a massive electrical discharge. Which couldn’t be good for anyone that had been around at the time. “Well good news is that I’m not getting any organic residue, though I’m getting some very strange readings.”
  13. GM Post “I know who you are, everyone on Atlantis knows your identity!” Lady Triakosia reply, with maybe a little more force than expected. She held her hand up and muttered a few words causing a small illusion to appear of a woman to appear. It looked like a image from a Conan style painting the woman bedecked in jewels and silks. It was also very much the double of Jessica. “She rules a kingdom that dominates this coast of this continent on my world and keeps the various other nations at peace. Without her, the nations would go to war and Atlantis would be forced to interfere.” “And of course right now she’d disappeared!”
  14. Triakosia The bustling desks got smaller with less impressive views as they travelled down through the hierarchy of reporters. Finally, they reach the basement that sat just above the presses that provided a constant faint rumble, which was fine unless you just happen to have super hearing. “The Ledger has always printed the paper on site, the rumble become quite soothing after a while!” Finally, they reach a small cubicle totally unadorned, apart from a photo of Katie and a less than happy cat and a figurine of the hero Centurion. “Pull up a chair I better check my messages before we head back out!”
  15. Zhenschina-voin Whilst she didn’t have the same problems as Dreadnaught she did sometimes struggle in a world not designed for a seven-foot woman, so she was used to getting comfortable in strange places. “And please call me Klara. Morgan doesn’t seem the type to engage in spiritual debate, though if at a later date you ply me with such excellent tea and biscuits!” her beliefs weren’t aligned with the church but she was fascinated how her beliefs matched with them “But we must first find out what happened to Morgan. It seems that this church has some link to what happened to her, could you tell us more about this abandoned church she was interested in?”
  16. Sure no worries.
  17. Lucy Harker As the sounds of the music filled the car they pulled onto the streets of Freedom City making for the Freeway out of the city that Lucy had spent most of her life (and unlife), she’d been out of the city before but a road trip was a much bigger deal. “I’d give her a raise if she wasn’t my intern!” Lucy added with a wry smile, as the energetic music continued unabated “Are you sure that these are your friends!” she added with a laugh. She raised her hand to stop the obvious complaints. “Actually I kind of like the beats, when we hit a big city we’ll have to go dancing. Or whatever it’s called now! This old girls still go some moves in her!”
  18. Out of character rolls and stuff for this.
  19. GM Post “Well I can’t say, even if I could remember, this is apparently in my own past.” She stabbed at the photos showing the subtle differences in clothes and hair that suggested that she was different, even if she hadn’t apparently aged a day since becoming a hero. “I found a follow up picture and I guess the best idea would be to ask this woman here?” She showed a similar picture of the pair with an additional woman, who was apparently more reluctant to appear. The African-American woman was wearing a very distinctive costume, the roman style breastplate and cape in honor of one of the greatest superheroes. This was Triakosia, who most definitely wasn’t around in 1968.
  20. GM Post The white suited Triakosia looked at the half demon with a look of surprise. “How did you know my title?” she looked a little confused at how things were unfolding “I guess this is your first interdimensional jaunt, I seem to meet other versions of me all the time! Lady Triakosia” she gave a little curtsy “That is besides the point!” Lady Triakosia was obviously ignoring her otherworld counterpart “It is you I came to find, only you can avoid plunging the nations around Atlantis in a devastating war!” she looked directly at Jessica as she spoke, a serious look on her face. To her credit Triakosia’s attitude change to a much more serious tone on hearing that. “If you’re planning to go help I’d like to tag along to help. If that’s okay with you?”
  21. Triakosia “I’m curious about that as well, I hope there’s enough room on that contraption for one more!” Floating just behind them, arms crossed, was the figure of Triakosia. With her array of enhanced senses, it hadn’t taken long to spot this floating vehicle and she’d have been here sooner if it wasn’t for the robbery she’d been dealing with at the time. The figure didn’t speak to either of the two heroes and with both hands reached up and removed the helmet revelling the same distinct features as Triakosia. “Ah, so it’s going to be one of those days then!”
  22. Zhenschina-voin Klara gave an encouraging smile, she’d been called much worse in a dozen different languages, as she listened to the man explain what had been going on around here. Morgan obviously had a knack for causing trouble, something that she could appreciate. She got the feeling that for all her difference the village had accepted her, something that not every village would do, so it was definitely an outside force. But not someone, or something, that the villages were aware of. “We better go talk to this Reverend, do you mine introducing them to us?”
  23. Doctor Thorne Whilst the others were sneaking around there was a moment as Rosa and Thorne had an argument about who was going to be sneaking around. Liam was better at stealth, but this was a situation where her knowledge was to an advantage. Eventually, she won out and made her way to catch up with Ronin, one advantage of living in the same brain was that it only took a moment to work things out. She wasn’t the most stealthy, and it didn’t help that she kept looking around to take in as much information as she could, but luckily with everything going on, she could get away with her less than stealthy approach.

  25. Merge Trois With the attention on others Merge took the opportunity to slip away, actually, she just dismissed that version of her what with another version of her still working out the back. Back home in Freedom City Nicki gave a sigh after the whole event thing were just as fraught as they’d always been. She’d like to make peace with Asad, he’d help her brother out after all, but this was something that would take time even if it ever did happen. Still Merge was a creature of the moment and she was already focused on her job, the problems of Asad already a fleeing memory.
