  1. Miss Grue When Daphne picked her shape she didn't think about how others would react to it, a form that was now more natural than her original Grue form. One side effect was that she was natural clothes horse even without her shapeshifting power and generally looked good in anything. Generally she never really saw the difference, all human body shape were fascinating to her. But she'd learned that it did matter to other humans, she was a telepath after all, so she knew when not to stand out among others, like today. She'd pick at slightly plainer, but still good looking face, and was for now dressed down. Yes, there were there to catch a potential enemy, but it didn't mean she couldn't make her friend look and feel good. "You look amazing Casey you'll knock 'em dead out there!"
  2. The Scarab III Kamala stood on the edge of the warehouse looking down at the thugs below, things looked like they were getting more complicated. "I guess those weapons weren't something you were expected? Do you have any idea of who or what could be backing them with such hi-tech equipment?" She was musing as much to herself as the Doctor, she doubted he knew all the answers but he might have clues that could be used to put this puzzle together. And as frustrating as this was she did love a mystery.
  3. Zhenshchina-voin Whilst she'd had some problems with Dimitri in the past, and to be fair vice versa, Klara had never been tempted to actually fight her former teammate. But she guesses that even though she was younger when she entered the world she had a view that wasn't quite as black and white as the world this woman had lived in. She leaned in a whispered into Comrades Frost's ear. "You know you don't have to do this, you're allowed to nominate a champion to fight on your behalf. And I've always been a better fighter than you." she was matter of fact rather than boastful "And Doctor Zui needs someone who can deal with such a devious mind."
  4. The Traveller Sitara thought about it for a moment, with a few wistful smiles at the many memories good and bad before replying. "With a few thousand years of travelling, I've experienced quite a few strange and wonderful things through my years. One experience does stand out, however..." She then went on to talk about her experience in a small decadent empire, with people who could out party even her. Through a series of rather lewd experiences, she’d experienced everything they had to offer. She held back on all the details, dropping just enough hints of all the fun experiences "...And there I was naked in front of a crowd apparently the ruler of the entire planet! It wasn't as exciting as sound alas, so I left them and went exploring. I should really look them up again sometime..." She gave him a few moments to process what she'd described before adding. "So I guess you've never experienced something quite like that but you must have a few strange stories to share?"
  5. The Scarab III The good thing about the Niqāb, in this case, was that the Doctor could see he rolling her eyes so hard. She hadn't taken into account that the Doctor was a complete coward, but she had to take rapidly take it into account recalculating her plans. "Then I'll have to take you with me, hold onto my back and I'll carry you up to the roof. You'll be safer up there than down here I can tell you that for certain" It was a risk of course, like most of this so far, but it was probably for the best to keep him where she could see him. She couldn't guarantee that he wouldn't very soon betray her.
  6. Ms Britannia "Divinity is overrated, we ask for no such thing and yet we still have the respect of our people. Who are the ones fighting off the menace that has invaded this planet, the physical battle will be close but I have faith that it will be won." she paused before adding "The spiritual harm of this invasion is a much more dangerous thing, which is why we're here to determine how to fight that menace. As in all thing like this it will probably require a sacrifice of some kind, like the last time the Terminus invaded."
  7. Miss Grue Her own psychic senses were telling her nothing, even her abilities to detect thinking life form was showing her nothing special. "I'm not sensing anything special around us. Maybe if we tried another perspective?" Being a shapeshifter, one of two which was always a nice change, she had many options to help gather whatever information they could. In this case, she decided to do the option which would be the most obvious, and attention-grabbing, option growing in height to around fifteen foot.
  8. GM Post It wasn't just the body of the of leather-clad villain that was hot it was apparently her temper as well! "No one touches me Sister Blister! If you don't unhand me right now things will get much worse for you!" the anger was palpable as she spoke As she spoke her body began to heat up even more and the flames from the back of her head, that appeared like hair, begun to become longer and even bigger in intensity. It looked like she was about to blow up like the flames that were still licking around the building.
  9. Emerald Spider's Iniative: 1d20+6 12 Sister Bliss is far to angry for diplomacy to work, you can have a shiny HP for the trouble though!
  10. Bee Power Level: 10/12 (180/203PP) Unspent Power Points: 23 Trade-Offs: +2 Defense / -2 Toughness In Brief: Tiny hero, big heart! Catchphrase: "We'll beat it with Science!" Theme: The Bee Song, by Arthur Askey Alternate Identity: Melissa Bowles (Secret) Birthplace: Bayview, Freedom City Residence: FCU Dorms Base of Operations: Freedon City University Occupation: Student Affiliations: Bee-Keeper III Family: Jeremy Bowles (Father), Elsa Bowles (Mother), Megan Bowles (Older Sister), Baxter Bowles (Uncle) Description: Age: 18 (DoB: 4th January 2000) Gender: Female Ethnicity: African-American Height: 5'4", 3" when Shrunk Weight: 130lbs Eyes: Brown Hair: Brown With a whirling of limbs and a flurry of almost constant activity, Melissa seems to take up more space than her diminutive height suggest. She's always dressed in a colourful array of clothing that suggested that she dressed in a hurry, which to be fair if quite often has what happened. She tends to prefer bright colors and bold designs and with a predominance of yellow, it can be difficult to tell when she is or not in her costume. Her costume is of cause the yellow and black stripes traditionally associated with bee's, even if the yellow is a lot lighter than found in nature. Sunny like my disposition Melina likes to say about the choice. Her head is covered by a mask complete with fake antennas and compound eye to complete the bee theme. The entire costume was designed and built by her uncle, with Melina's continuous input. History The Baxter family has always had a creative flare in whatever subject they choose to pursuit, as well as a massive streak of eccentricity to go along with there potential genius. The most famous for this was of cause Barry Bowles, the second villainous Bee-Keeper, but the rest of the family was just as full of potential. Her main fascination was the newly described Dyne particles a catalyst that caused matter to shrink whilst retaining its mass and form, though no one had solved the problem of the electromagnetic energies generated by the compression. Melissa's idea was to form it into polymers to both allow it to be placed around the item and to channel the electrical field. Someone must have agreed as one fateful night when she finally got the Dyne polymer into a stable form. Working late in the school's lab the shockwave from an explosion set off somewhere nearby shattered the container with the Dyne mixture covering her in the liquid, in that moment Melina discovered that her polymer worked as she suddenly shrunk down. Which was lucky for her as it allowed her to survive the mysterious explosion. Melina had never considered being a hero until the moment she gained these powers, but now she didn't know where to start. She knew her parents would freak if they found out so instead, she went to her uncle Baxter. In a fluke of fate, it turned out that her uncle was actually the hero Bee-Keeper III who agreed to help her explore her powers, creating a way to store the power her shrunk body generated to work a pair of suitably sized wings. Before she became a hero though he insisted that she finish off her education, though she was sure he wouldn't mind if she snuck out to fight crime every now and again... Personality & Motivation: Melissa is upbeat and optimistic person always seeing the best in everyone and everything around her. This can come across as overconfidence as she throws herself boldly into any situation as she's sure things will sort themselves out. Not that things won't sort themselves out without some kind of help, which is why she wants to become a hero and help people. Though it can be a little difficult to tell as she tends to be a bit of a scatterbrain with about half a dozen different ideas floating around her head at any one time. Powers & Tactics: Bee tends to throw herself into action without any apparent rhyme or reason, her desire to help out overcomes semblance of tactics. She's not so foolish to throw herself at impossible odd though, even she realises that there are times when fighting is not the answer. When fighting she will try to solve the problem put in front of her using all her vast scientific knowledge, often in very unorthodox ways. Power Descriptions: Melissa has infused her body with her own custom designed Dyne molecules that allows her to compress her own body to the size of around 3 inches tall, as she retains all her molecules she retains her mass and physical strength. The change in height creates a massive electrical field, a side effect of the molecular compression, that she stores using as a form of attack and to power her wings. Complications: Busy little Bee: Melissa always has a half dozen thing going on at one time, with a few more waiting in wings. This sometimes distracts her from other things, including those that others consider important like sleeping and eating. Bee Curious: Melissa can't stand a mystery and has to know the solution at almost any cost, which sometimes leads to her poking her nose into things best left alone. Bee Quiet: Heroes are meant to be ultra super secret about there identities right, but it's so cool are really difficult not to tell. Bee Explaining: Science is rad and all and should be explained whenever possible, cause the baddies might be able to use such stuff against us... 11. Traditionally someone can nominate a champions to fight for you, so that's an option.
  12. Being a born warrior and all Klara wouldn't want to let Dimitri do the fighting, after all she knows she's the better fighter!
  13. The Scarab III Beneath the hood Kamala frowned she should have expected trouble, everything had been going pretty smooth so far. Still, she was the type that always looked for an option when things went south. "In that case Doctor I need them to distract them for as long as you can, it's something that you seem intimately skilled at. Whilst you do I'll try an alternative entry into the warehouse." The one good thing about these robes was that she'd been able to hide her entire suit under it, with the antigrav unit it should be easy to get on top of the warehouse to be able to look about getting into the warehouse. She assumed that even here most warehouses had skylights that were a superheroes boon.
  14. The Traveller "It has been a whilst since I played twenty questions, but I guess now's as good time as any to start. My name is, as you know, Sitara Shashikala and I was born oh about five thousand years ago in a place I believe you now know as the Indus Valley. I was around sixteen when the aliens came to recruit people to help in there struggle against another more violent culture." Sitara gave a little laugh as she sipped her alcoholic drink. "It's not as impressive as it sounds, I napped a few centuries along the way I'm only about 3,500 active years though it's difficult to keep track sometimes. So what about you, I'm sure you have a just as fascinating story to tell?"
  15. Nicki Dee In a special room in the bar sat surrounding by screens was the brains behind the entire operation directing the various Merges as they went about their business. The screens were just for effect as Nicki was in mental contact with all of her duplicates, well except for her laptop that she used to look up the names, though some people she didn't need to look up. Merge Trois One of the Merge's opened the door to the yellow cab only to look at Anne with a brief look of surprise. "Ms. Cline it's an honor to meet you, and your lovely companion. I used to follow your career with some interest before going straight! Tonight everyone is welcome to our little event." she gestured out of the car into the nightclub.
  16. Sister Blisters Grapple Roll: 1d20+12 27, she has a heat aura so you'll need a Toughness save. Only DC 20 because of you immunity. She's pinned but we might as well do initiatives! Initiative: 1d20+4 5
  17. GM Post As Mag-Might got closer to the villains he could feel waves of heat coming off of the body, like the place itself it seemed she was burning up! She didn't rely on that alone however and at the last moment, she tried to move away from the Sub-Terran, a last-minute move that almost but not quite succeeded in dodging the embrace. "This is only a temporary setback, I suggest you let me go before the trouble really starts." there was a real burning anger in her voice, that somehow sounded so young. As she spoke flames began to lick around her body, rapidly gaining in intensity.
  18. The Scarab III Coming back to Egypt was always a weird experience, despite living all her life in Freedom City it still felt like somewhere she'd lived all her life. Several lifetimes it seemed sometimes, a legacy of the vambrace she figured. Not trusting the doctor with her identity, especially as he'd been prepared to sell the crystal, she'd chosen to wear the Niqāb. "I know the city well Doctor, I still have family here. Though they live more to the south of Cairo." cutting off any more questions about who she might be she added, "The Scarab, after all, is an ancient Egyptian symbol!" He was an irritation, but for now, he was useful to her so she tried to ignore most of his irritating chatter. "Let me worry about that, let's go see how things are now. Lead on Doctor."
  19. Triakosia "You'd think it'd be so much easier with powers, but it just seems to make things more complicated!" Dancia gave a smile "She's spending a day with a friend, speaking of you better go get your stuff." "Yes mom. Nice you meet you Ms Casey." Katie rushed off at super speed "I'm just glad she knows not to use her powers in public! It helps I think that she has the same power set as myself, no flying yet thankfully. Talking of give me a sec." In a flash, she was back with a cup of steaming coffee. "We've got enough time if you want one?" she gestured to the coffee "We're starting you off with a fluff piece for the website, I'll fill you in once we get there and then you can call the shots. If the story good you can even get the byline!"
  20. The Scarab III "I am carrying a multi-frequency sonic device, a powerful antigravity generator powered by a highly advanced power source and monitored with by a cutting-edge artificial intelligence. These are not something that you buy off the shelf!" her tone was mostly matter of fact with an edge of frustration at his attempted shakedown "And Daka crystal have a unique energy signature, damage or not, I can have a repurposed satellite scanning for that before the police even start interviewing you!" she paused to let that sink in before adding "I suggest you take the deal as is, before I let the FCPD deal with this matter."
  21. GM Post The nearby city was like any modern metropolis, complete with flying cars, but everything scaled to the aliens diminutive height. Luckily the bar they'd be recommended had an outside area where the two humans could sit and enjoy and talk and a drink. The natives gave them a few glances on their way pass but they gave them some respectful privacy. The local drink was a fermented apple-like concoction that was pleasant and pretty light, the little aliens probably couldn't hold their alcohol like Sitara. Though to be fair few could. "So you must have a million questions right now, so where do you want to start?"
  22. Zhenshchina-voin Klara frowned a little, she'd wished that they'd be more time before speaking of such heavy matters. It seemed sometimes that all immortals had was the time to talk about such things. "If it was possible I wish that all could enjoy immortality, I have a personal stake in such things. But alas the world is not yet ready for such things, there is too much in the world that needs to be put right. I assure you that the world is much better than it was, but there is still more to be done before it is ready." This might be it and she was prepared for when the two acted, they wouldn't let this debate go on for much longer. "Immortality is a precious gift and it should not be decided based on greed or power, which alas is how these two wish to do such things."
  23. The Scarab III Kamala considered her options, aware that there was a chance that the police could be here at any moment. She had to consider what would happen if someone else got their hand on the crystal. "Appart from picking some very questionable friends you've not done anything truly wrong." With a few gestures, she bought up a hologram of a three-dimensional map of that region of Egypt, something she'd created when she was younger. "Give me the coordinate of this crystal and not only I'll let you leave tonight if the information is good I'll arrange for suitable compensation." Greed was something that she could deal with, even if it was something she was opposed to on so many levels.
  24. Hopefully Klara's natural charm will make up for things a little bit! For when needed Iniative: 1d20+11 12
