Zhenshchina-voin Klara moved with some quickness and stealth across the grounds to the house itself, she liked to think it was from sneaking into Tracy's quarters back when people were less enlightened about their partnership. As she did she considered ways to get into the house, there were of cause the brute force methods but they wanted to surprise the people inside. If only there was some way to just appear inside the house and bypass the security... Then she remembered the gem that was inset into her bracer, that allowed her to teleport among other things. Normally she only used it over long distances, but it could be easily convinced to take them a shorter distance. It wasn't quite alive but it was smart enough to handle such a thing. <"I can get us into the building using the gauntlet."> she held it up for emphasis <"Ooze or float or whatever you want and I'll teleport us inside.">

GM Post There was a tearing sound as the walls of the warehouse was torn apart revealing a humanoid figure. Out of a scene right out of a monster movie the figure stood perfectly back lite. It was humanoid but much bigger, around 3 meters (10 feet) tall and covered in a mass of feathers it's clawed arms showing remains of what must be it wings. As it stepped through the hole it gave a triumphant screech from it sharp raptor-like beak. The gangster and dealers could only look up in fear at this terror bird, something from another age.

White Lioness She should have expected other heroes to turn up, this was Freedom City after all, and she adjusted quickly to the situation quickly gently shuffling the hero into the shadows. "You timing is impeccable!" she spoke in her rich Dakani accent "There's an illegal exchange going down I need to stop, and you're welcome to help, but I don't expect any real trouble." Of cause that was when the trouble started, as everyone looked up and over at the wall as there was a terrible tearing sound.

Yeah Klara's not going to be able to make those kind of rolls! Can I stunt a short range teleport from her normal long range one?

Zhenshchin-voin It was strange that someone else was acting as a distraction, with her normally standing out among most people, but she was quite happy to allow Dreadnought to be there decoy. "We should get moving before they get wise!" Klara said as she stood up, carefully placing down her cup and a few Euro tip for the service "I can't see them distracted for too long, but hopefully for long enough!" With little time to waste she began to move, knowing that Dmitri would quickly follow up behind.

White Lioness Àjàṣorò had to admit that she was nervous, even a simple operation like this was something she'd never done before. Especially as she was flying solo, her brother was off doing something important and she might have encouraged him to do so. She felt that she needed to do this, prove that she was capable of holding the mantle of the White Lioness. And as her father had helpfully told her nerves were good, it kept you focused on potential trouble. With the two groups were gathered and ready to make the exchange Àjàṣorò raised up and got ready to pounce!

GM Post It was easy to follow the trail of destruction the creature was causing, and from the brief glimpses it was humanoid but couldn't be described as human. It was most definitely here for a purpose as it was deliberately moving towards a goal somewhere within these docks, and from the damage it was causing it wasn't concerned about anyone in the way of its goal. It didn't take long to realise that its goal was a warehouse on one end of the docks, it's light was on and it appeared that there were people around. Which added up to trouble!

Alas neither would be a hit, but I'm feeling generous if you want to throw in a HP for that second row. At least if you roll the same it'll actually be a hit! Either way, give me an IC post, please!

Dr Rosa Thorne "Normally I'd be content to allow it to remain in the hands of those who understand the potential harm something like this could reap. But my contact has mentioned some of the names of those who have been invited to possibly receive the artefact, and it leaves me with some concern." She paused briefly as she was about to do something that she really didn't like to do, admit that she wasn't able to do something well. "I am not a gambler Mr Lebeau and whoever is offering it has in their wisdom decided to offer it as the reward in a high stakes poker game. I need someone good enough to sit at that table, and with the right reputation to be allowed to. I believe you Mr Lebeau are just the right person for this task!"

The Scarab As tempting as it was to use her vambrace to read the man's mind she was content to let Echohead determine how this went. Instead, she idly thought about what places did and how it squared with her beliefs. It wasn't how she'd choose to do things, but it was up to everyone to make their own choice so she had to respect that. After all, that was why humans had been given free choice. Not that she wasn't paying attention to what was going inside the shop. "This is your op I'll take your lead." she told Echohead when he left the shop "I have a plan if you want me to join you inside, or I can stay on overwatch for now."

You won't be able to see who just yet, I'm saving that for the reveal , but you will be able to make out roughly where whatever broke out of the container is heading.

GM Post After only a few moments of wandering around the house, it was pretty obvious that someone had removed most of the valuables, it was fairly obvious was that someone was trying to hide robberies. The burning was fairly controlled, designed to hide the evidence of the theft apparently, and the burning in the forest wasn't that bad, and from the flaming trails through the forest, you could see a second mansion burning away, and a third building that looked like it was just starting to catch...

Emerald Spider Peri was looking forward to some time off a quick meal with her family before enjoying the cities fireworks, unlucky for her route home took her passed the Lakeside, not that you could miss the glow on the horizon. Just for a second she almost considered not going to help, though she was aware enough to know she wasn't going to ignore it. Landing softly beside the Fire Fighter, causing her to jump, relaxing a little when she saw it was Emerald Spider. "What the sitch?"

Dr Rosa Thorne It didn't seem possible but Rosa became even more animated as she entered her lecture mode, waving her hands around to punctuate her explanations. "Back in the 19th century there was a renowned lawman was killed whilst playing poker, he was holding the black Aces and Eights which became known as a Dead Man's hand. The final card has been of much debate..." She managed to stop going too far and kept things on track. "The aces and eight have gained a certain amount of power in certain occult rituals, so the actual hand itself even more so. Someone has managed to get there hands on the entire original deck!"

The Scarab Whilst she'd tried to keep up with all the heroes she could off it was impossible to keep up with everyone, but if he was new as well that would explain a lot. She wasn't much more experienced than Echohead but tended to act more experienced, which to be fair was how she lived her life in general. Which had worked for her so far. "My skills more are in being able to read a person to see if they're telling the truth if it will help you can borrow them for now. " She trusted her ability to keep him away from anything she didn't want him to know, plus the vambrace helped blocked psychic attacks though she didn't think he was anything like that.

The Scarab After providing her new ally with a comm Scarab had followed along from the rooftops, figuring that a costumed hero would put people off talking to him. "Looking around like a wide-eyed innocent isn't a bad place to start. Try doing what you'd normally do and ask someone and if trouble starts I'll be here." As she tried to reassure her college she checked her built-in map and the sections checked off, with a little more investigation they'd be able to track down the building. "You doing great, keep it up!"

Dr Rosa Thorne Rosa wasn't sure what to expect when she met Chance, but it definitely wasn't like this she'd expected someone older. Which if the rumours were true was actually nearer the truth. The real thing that interested her was the occult item that she was here to try and get his help in recovered and her eye sparkled as she talked about it and she paced the office in excitement. Dr Rosa Thorne In the fields of the occult few could come close to the skill of Rosa, in the fields of subterfuge she was a rank amateur. And none of her books has anything useful like a picture, or even a woodcut, which was a shame with her near perfect memory to make the connection. I have no skill in such things, the statistics are child play but I seem to lack in the poker face department, so I'm forced to find the best at such things in this city."

Doctor Rosa Thorne, Pier 6 Doctor Rosa Thorne was not happy at all! More at home in a library or lecture hall than attending such a pit of iniquity she was already uncomfortable, then there was a very pricey dress she was wearing to look like she belongs here. It wasn't that she looked bad in the thing, quite the opposite and she had little energy to deal with anyone who would react to her. Plus she was very aware that the dress would need to go back to the shop tomorrow, as it was probably worth more than what the detective agency was worth. To her surprise and no one else she made it into the club with no effort and made her way to the bar, trying and failing to look effortlessly cool as she did so. "Please tell Mr Lebeau that a Doctor Thorne wishes to talk to him about a business proposition." It was a calculated risk based on the fact that in a small occult community like Bedlam everyone tended to know everyone else, which was why she knew a little about his existence in the first place.

Around Sunset, Bedlam City Very few who live in a blighted urban landscape like Bedlam wouldn't suspect that it had much in the way of magic. The founders of the city had made sure that several convergences of ley lines meant the city was brimming with the stuff. Like the city, the magic was icky and blighted, though many still argued which caused the other. Away from the prying eyes of many a superteams and powerful mystics, Bedlam made a perfect place for those who practiced the less savory styles of magic to meet up and exchange, or more often sell, rituals and artifacts that were unpleasant if not outright evil...

IGT-X is just moving, but not enough that you can't reach them. Now's you chance to try and finish them off!

GM Post Maybe the droid was aware of the suppression of its stealth field, or maybe it was a reaction to the damage it had taken, but at this moment it chooses to flee from the fight. However with the damage, it has taken and the now rough terrain the droid couldn't move with any massive speed, the fact that it didn't have any real special motive powers. It must be trying to get somewhere, maybe to the tree line and available cover, rather than the less than successful attempting to fight in the open, even if it had been concealed.

The Traveller "Okay you're doing great I just need a few more seconds." Floating above it all Sitara made a few adjustments on her wrist computer, whilst most would find the bursts of energy a distraction she was use to it from far too many wars and conflicts. In fact, the massive amounts of energy released made it easier to work out the frequencies needed as the interacted with the energies. The with just a few final adjustments there was a brief burst of subsonic noise, enough for a few seconds of discomfort for the humans, before the stealth field on the android went down.

GM Post From the air, the lights from the dock were reflecting off of something that caught Gauss's eye. One of the massive containers had been burst open the massive sharp edges being what had caught the light, and it didn't take much to work out that something very large or strong had burst out of the containers. She couldn't be sure but Gauss was sure that it hadn't been like that before, which suggested that whatever had left the container was most likely still somewhere in the docks, and they probably weren't up to anything good!
