  1. White Lioness Part of the responsibility of the protector of Dakana was to recover where possible Daka crystals that had fallen into disreputable hands, something that happened more often than most Dakana's were happy with. Tonight she was back in Freedom City, at the very docks that Gauss was floating above. In this case, it was a crystal carved into the shape of a humanoid bird-like creature, which had been liberated from a Madagascar museum. Thanks to the crystals unique signature she'd been able to track it here and was now waiting for the exchange so she could make sure that it wouldn't happen again, at least for this little groups. It was almost too easy, what was the worse that could happen?
  2. The Scarab III "I'm The Scarab, the newest to hold the title." it was just easier to explain than to wait for the obvious questions. Still, even if he sounded like a fool, she'd reserved her judgment on if he actually was, he had managed to gather some useful information. She bought up a map of the Fens and selected the section suggested by the information, cutting down on the amount of area they'd have to search. "I suggest we head in that direction then! Do you wish me to shadow you from a distance, or would you like me to travel along as a companion?"
  3. GM Post There were two things you looked for when examining a scene. Those obvious things that were here, vacuum tubes and bakelite that suggested the place was last active in the 40's and 50's, and the more interesting things that weren't here. In this case, there were in the dusty conditions of the base a few places that looked suspiciously clean. Along a rack on one wall was a series of spherical shapes on the wall, but more alarmingly was a suspiciously large humanoid shape that suggested that someone had removed some device from that era. Alas, many such devices still seemed dangerous even after all these decades.
  4. Triakosia With the help of her very useful intern, Dancia had been doing pieces on forgotten heroes and villains of yesteryear, maybe feeling a little nostalgic for heroes long past. She'd opened with the classic "Whatever happened to Calendar Girl" and the other members of Troublemakers, Inc though almost all of them being lost to the ages. Right now she was investigating the mostly forgotten Freedom Brigade having tracked down Sara Hendricks the granddaughter of James Hendricks and Samantha Luck, two of the Brigades members Commander USA and the Mysterious Madame Radium. The young African-American woman was friendly and cheerful, and with her Rockabilly styling wouldn't have looked out of place with her ancestors, but the interview was fairly by the numbers until she dropped this bombshell. "You do know that my Great-Grandmother just upped and disappeared a few decades ago?"
  5. And here's one for you @EternalPhoenix
  6. For the out of character rolls etc for this here.
  7. Downtown Freedom City 10 am, 3rd July 2018 Someone had dug up an empty lot in Downtown Freedom, not in itself a strange occurrence and most paid it no heed. After all, eventually Doctor Metropolis would fix the damage and everything would be as it was before. But for some reason they hadn't so eventually the FCPD reluctantly investigated, in the full glare of the local media as things were fairly quiet today. Down in the hole, they found an old abandoned base of some sort of technological hero or villain, with technology that suggested that it hadn't been touched since the 1950's. But why had the base been uncovered now?
  8. For any rolls needed for this.
  9. Riverside Docks, Freedom City 10:00 pm, 3rd July 2018 For heroes it was a place that seemed to attract trouble, ships seemed to attract trouble with people trying to bring various things into and out of Freedom City. And with a ship having just pulled into port from Socotra, a place known for its very lax registration laws, plus the fact that its ruler was a bonafide supervillain, was almost to easy a place to look for potential trouble. So the Spirit of the Isle was just sitting there, it's crew off spending there wages it some of the nearby dives but the cargo not yet unloaded. if something illegal was going to go down then it would happen tonight.
  10. Okay @Ari here one for Mag-Might.
  11. For rolls 'n stuff for this here.
  12. Lakeside, Emerald City 9:10 pm, 4th July 2018 The air glowed red towards Mount Stanley but not the glorious sunset that was happening over the sparkling Pacific rather Lakeside was burning. At the edge of the area, a rather eccentric mansion was blazing merrily, with everyone out it would be no danger to anyone rather a loss of property if not for the chance of the Elysian forest also catching. Already at another fire in the area, a strange coincidence in itself, someone would be able to respond soon enough, but it could be too late for the more valuable forest that surrounded the area.
  13. The Scarab III "You might need to work on that a little." the voice came from above with Scarab perched gargoyle-like on a nearby roof. She'd been hearing rumours that some drugs was being given way freely, which was suspicious even in Freedom City. Whilst chemistry wasn't really her area of expertise if she could get her hand on a sample it should be easy to work out how it was done and if there was any danger, and if by any chance it was safe maybe it could be used in a more constructive manner. "Maybe I can help you out, I assume you're chasing the rumours about this mysterious drink in the Fens?"
  14. Lucy Harker Not one to ever hold back her emotions Lucy slid off of her chair and gave her friend a massive hug. "Us girls have to stick together, which means that you're not getting rid of me that easily." she gave one of her bright smiles before settling down to something more sombre "And Bedlam seems like a dark place, so I suggest you find something to believe in and hold it as tightly as you can. And they have these mobile phones now so if need my help or heck just a natter, don't hesitate to call. I never sleep so I'm always around when you need me!"
  15. Ms Britannia "Normally we would agree, but the stakes are high enough that the little god has everything to lose." In the churning gathering of the mids and wisdom of hundreds if not thousands of those that had come before was the experience of Hades and his type that despite the situation would try and take advantage of any situation, however. "But it would be wise to put in some form of protection in place, I would suggest that a pact of some kind that only those that are here can make or accept offers so those outside of this place won't suffer from what we decide in this place."
  16. Miss Grue Daphne had never been able to get a good read on Tarva, literally, she was so focused and self-disciplined that hardly a stray thought crossed her mind. But she always liked to assume the best of people, and no one who was a partner of Kimber could be that terrible. "To be fair she did get us away from a massive psychic shockwave, which I can tell you was quite unpleasant. It could have caused those of us sensitive to such things serious harm." Her species were fairly resistant to such things but she wasn't sure how well humans psychics could deal with an assault like that. "But really the important thing to decide is what we should be doing to try and get back, or at least make sure that everyone is safe for now."
  17. If you need someone to make up the numbers I will happily offer any suitable characters up for use!
  18. Sure let me see what I can come up with!
  19. GM Post For what must have felt like minutes, but was in fact only a few seconds, the android finally acted. It was briefly illuminated as a green laser that cut across the are trying to slice into the Terran's flesh, it also showed that it was in motion obviously trying to flank the two heroes to get an advantage. It was literally trying to run circles round them!. At least in the illuminated light of the laser, briefly affecting its camouflage field, showed that it had taken some damage from there previous attacks.
  20. IGT-X Attack Roll: 1d20+10 29, a sparkling hit and DC 25 Toughness save for Facsimile. After that he'll get off his Shockwave, Reflex Save: 1d20+10 23, Toughness Save: 1d20+10-2 14. So that a Staggered! The poor droid is on it's last legs! Give me a toughness save and a post please and we'll get to the final round!
  21. Triakosia Dancia was consumed with a burning hatred for the forces of the Terminus, helped by a long memory of what they had taken from her. But not enough that she'd neglect the safety of those that were also fighting them, for if it wasn't for them then it wasn't worth fighting for. Floating until she was just above the cities defenders she brought together her hand with all her might sending a thunderous concussion wave through the assembled ranks of the enemy. "You've fought bravely to defend this city from this threat soldiers, but now the time to fall back. Don't worry we've got it from here." She gave the soldier a reassuring smile, she’d been a soldier so knew exactly what they must be feeling right now.
  22. Triakosia will take a flank and do a Thunderstrike to stun some of the horde, obviously placed so not to get into GK's way!
  23. Zhenshchina-voin Klara didn't often feel conscious about her height if people had a problem with her it was theirs to deal with, but right now she couldn't help but feel that it was obvious why they were here. It said something when Dimitri was the least obvious person in their little team, though the cafe was quite spectacular. It was hard not to overthink these kinds of things and assume that a mastermind like Doctor Zui, hopefully, they'd done enough to get the drop on him, if the Duke wasn't watching the cafe for a gathering of obvious supers. "So do we have an idea of how we want to handle this? I mean nothing stops up from walking up to the door and asking to visit, though I'm not sure if that will work!"
  24. GM Post With very little ceremony the little team of superheroes was whisked away in one of Dakana's impressive hypersonic transports, the one used by the White Lion's. During the very short journey, the American heroes were briefed with a version of that had been given earlier to the Dakanan Parlament. On the edge of the hills, the craft had to land, even the advanced Dakanan technology couldn't survive the Singing Hills. Indeed even here they could hear the hauntingly beautiful sounds the hill generated, but even here the subharmonics put people on edge. The more superstitious locals, on both sides of the border, believed that the hills were haunted, and indeed they could be right, but right now the little team knew that real evil dwelled in the Singing Hills, and evil that must be stopped for the sake of the entire world.
