Net Fly breathed a sigh of relief, at the sight of the rescucitated criminal. The more his partner talked, the more he got the impression that this was nothing more than two stupid sheltered kids going on a powertrip. Heh, like you are some kind of adult, now Hush, sane inner voice. The grown ups are thinking now. Pfft, fine. Just don't forget, you've got a civilian hanging aimlessly on a roof. ...! Mentally kicking himself that he had almost forgotten the employer, Net Fly talked to the other two heroes "While you make these guys talk, I'll go check on the civilian I led away earlier. He'd probably want to know that the store and his coworker are safe. I'll be back in a few seconds." Net Fly hovered for a bit, before stopping mid-air. Turning back, he faced Osprey and Foreshadow. "Oh, and before I forget, the name's Net Fly. It's a pleasure."

Well... this is embarrasing to watch. Serge thought, as he stiffled a laugh. Watching Giang beat around Lady Shen's student was not only immensly satisfying, but also hilarious, due to how horrible the poor fellow was outmatched. When two more students entered the fray, Serge kept telling himself that both him, Subito, and Giang, had all been trained in multiple-hostiles-combat at Claremont Academy, and that was even without taking into account Giang's previous trainning. Still, he couldn't help clench his fists tighter and tighter at the knowledge that he was helpless to lend a hand to his friend. Nevertheless, hearing Subito cheer Giang on brought a smile to him, and the young man nodded in agreement. Nice thinking, Subito! If we can't join her, the least we can do is lend her our endorsements. "Don't lose focus now, Giang! Keep alert!" He shouted, hoping that it would be just the right amount of attention-grabbing and not-distracting.

"Ughh, seriously..." Net Fly muttered, as he secured the whimpering thug by the door. Noticing the convulsing crook, he directed the criminal's gaze to his comrade, who was clutching his chest in pain. "See your friend over there? That's you in a few minutes, and I'm betting no one in here will have to lift a finger to make that happen. So, yeah, might wanna stick around; I don't know much about first aid in those cases, but at least I'd drop you off by a hospital, which is much more than you'd get if you skedaddled, hmmm? Just a thought." Leaving the terrified criminal with that, he then approached the convulsing thief. "Well, then... at least we managed to stop this before they caused any serious damage. So... you guys wouldn't know anything about treating him, would ya?" he asked Osprey and Foreshadow.

"Heh, ain't that the truth?" Net Fly replied on Osprey's comment. Foreshadow's attempt was not met with success, but the young hero encouraged "Never mind that, just don't let up!" It was during that time that the electricity user decided to make his getaway. "Oh, no, you don't." Just barely catching glimpse of the retreating criminal, Net Fly crossed his arms together in front of his chest, and focused all of his sonic energy into the white chestpiece of his suit. "This is my strongest. Hope you've braced yourself." He calmly said, building up, and then unleashing a beam as large as a basket ball by removing his hands from infront the chestphone. The Sonic Beam traveled in a straight line, at the speed of sound, hitting the criminal on his back with great force, and pushing him straight into the door he so coveted. "Heh, don't let the door hit you." He snarked, although it was obvious from the thuding sound of the collision that the door caused the criminal the least amount of trouble.

Net Fly will pull all the stops to prevent the thug from fleeing. Full-Round Action: Sonic Beam(Distracting) at the criminal. All-Out Attack + Accurate Attack (+4 Atk, -2 DC, -2 Def) 1d20+11: 12 [1d20=1] Of course, you realise, this means Improve Roll(Deduct 1 HP) 1d20+11: 15 [1d20=4] + 10 = 25 Stun(Daze) Unreliable Check(For some reason, I added 10 on the roll. Ignore that +10) 1d20+10: 15 [1d20=5] Trip Check (-2), Knockback extra, Knockback power feat 1: 1d20+10: 26 [1d20=16] If it hits, the fleeing thug saves vs DC24 Damage, and rolls against DC24 Trip(STR or DEX, whichever is worse). If he fails the trip, he also suffers from Knockback with an effective damage bonus equal to +10,

Player Name: Vahnyu Character Name: Meatheral Power Level: (8) (120/126PP) Trade-Offs: -4 Earth Form Attack / +4 Earth Form Damage, -2 Fire Form Attack / +2 Fire Form Damage, +2 Air Form Attack / -2 Air Form Damage, -4 Earth Form Defense / +4 Earth Form Toughness, +2 Fire Form Defense / -2 Fire Form Toughness, +2 Air Form Defense / -2 Air Form Toughness Unspent Power Points: 6 Progress To Silver Status: 6/60 In Brief: Hero fused with a Magic Grimoire that grants him the power to transform into any one the 4 elementals. Alternate Identity: Jeremiah 'Jerry' Cornwell Identity: Secret Birthplace: Freedom City Occupation: University Student (Theologian) Affiliations: Freedom City University (FCU) Family: Father: Anthony Cornwell, Mother: Jacqueline Cornwell, Older Sisters: Tiffany Cornwell, Melissa Cornwell, Younger Brother: Samuel Cornwell. Description: Age: 20 (DoB: June the 17th, 1994) Apparent Age: 20 Gender: Male Ethnicity: Caucasian Height: 6' 2" Weight: 175 lbs Eyes: Light Brown Hair: Red Description: Jeremiah is a tall young man, with amber red hair and light brown eyes. He wears blue jeans, a red t-shirt, and black athletic shoes. As Meatheral, Jerry dones a full cloth costume with very wide alternating white and green horizontal stripes. The costume has a cape that is white on the outside and green on the inside. He keeps most of his head, except his mouth, covered by a green full face mask. However, Meatheral spends most of his active in one of his four assumed elemental forms. As an Earth Elemental, his body becomes rocky and hardened. As a Fire Elemental, his body becomes consumed in flames. As a Water Elemental, his body turns liquid and becomes semi transparent. Finally, as an Air Elemental, his body becomes composed of air particles that spin rapidly in a concentrated area, creating the impression of a small tornado. Power Descriptions: By chanting the appropriate incantation, Meatheral is able to transform his body in one of the 4 elementals. Doing so slowly replaces his body with the appropriate element(rocks for when assuming the Earth Form, Water for the Water Form, etc.). Assuming back his human form causes the elements to slowly withdraw, indicating that the transformation is being reversed. Fire Form: Meatheral transforms into a living flame. He can use those flames to propel himself at high speeds. The flames he produces are harmful on contact, and he can extend his arms on short range as if they were whips. By concentrating energy, he is able to unleash and direct a big ball of flames at his opponents. IGNIS IN ME COMBURIT! Water Form: By assuming a liquid form, Meatheral is able to stretch or otherwise manipulate his body in order to both absorb damage and fight at long ranges. While malleable, he can still produce superhumanly high amounts of pressure. He is equally fast on land, where he transports from place to place like a torrenting river, and on water, where he is able to launch himself with the speed of a torpedo. AQUAE CIRCUM ME TUMULTUATUR! Air Form: Meatheral's body becomes a small tornado capable of flying at high speeds. By slightly expanding, dispersing, and slowing his molecules down, he is able to become completely transparent, and naked to all eyes. In this form, he is able to generate high speed tornadoes that he can launch at his opponents with great accuracy and from affar, or generate multiple smaller hurricanes and fire them at closer range. VENTUS AD ME CIRCUMFLAT! History: Jerry grew up in Kingston of Freedom City, just another boy in a middle-class family. Though his parents were never well-off, by any stretch of the word, they always managed to get by with what they had, and they made sure to provide for both Jerry and his 3 siblings. His family wasn't overly religious, but nevertheless, Jerry found from an early age fascinated in religion and mythology, less as a believer, and more as audience. He found the larger than life characters described within fascinating, and their exploits extraordinary. He enjoyed reading various different myths that handled similar subjects and themes, and making comparrisons between them. Eventually, after studying hard, Jerry managed to gain entrance at the Freedom City University, as a student of Theology. While most of the first year was hard on him, what with reallocating to the capital, away from his parents, and with balancing a tight budget, Jerry eventually fell into a nice pace, where he could comfortably dedicate himself to his studies. It was during this time, when as a 1st year student, he took up visiting museums and libraries, for a term paper he was working on for the second semester. He eventually stumbled upon an old bookshop, that held many rare tomes about Shintoism, Taoism, Masai mythology, Ceremonial magic, Seidr, and many more. After a few weeks, while studying the contents of a book that had no title, but only the image of a square divided in four smaller squares, each with a different name, a mysterious event occured that would forever mark Jerry. A fire broke out, engulfing the entire place. The people at the library found themselves trapped, and inexplicably unable to exit the building, as if held by an invisible force. As for Jerry himself, another phenomena was occupying his attention. The book he was reading started having its pages erased. While this was going on, as if in response, it caught fire, it's pages become wet, they were shredded to fine dust, and scattered by a strong wind. The dust landed on Jerry, and he felt a sudden surge of knowledge, unlike anything he had felt before. Finding himself transform into a being of pure water, and after the initial shock passed, Jerry put his newfound abilities to good use, putting out the fire, and saving the people trapped in the library. The rest of the books were not as lucky; Jerry found out later that their contents had been completely erased, as if they never were. After the incident, Jerry slept for three days, due to the shock and exhaustion he felt. When he woke up, he found himself curious about his newfound abilities, which granted him the ability to transform into one of four elementals. After three months of trainning and testing, he had managed to gain considerable control over his abilities. It was then that he decided that the time had come for him to debut as a Superhero. Going by the name of Meatheral, hero of the four elements, Jerry has added one more group of activities in his daily balance. And he has yet to find out details regarding the Tetramegeton, the mysterious grimoire which granted him his four elemental forms. Or about the mysterious fire that triggered everything, which vanished as it came, leaving no traces behind. Personality & Motivation: Jerry loves stories. He can spend an entire evening listening to people talking, without losing his focus or attention. On his free time, he enjoys, in a strictly non-professional way, writting fantasy novels, worldbuilding, and mythbuilding. He is passionate, but virtuous and accomodating. Though he is not religious, despite his collegial pursuits, he does not reject the divine, identifying as an agnostic. Jerry became a superhero out of a strong, if ultimately detached, sense of duty and rightness. He's always trying his hard to help others, but he hasn't been tempered yet in the field of heroics. Powers & Tactics: As a human, Meatheral has neither powers of his own, nor any significant combat trainning, so when trouble arises, his first order of business is to assume one of the four elemental forms he possesses access to. Each form presents it's own strengths and weaknesses, and depending on the situation, Meatheral may find himself cycling through them as needed. Complications: Multiform Backlash: Jerry is still learning the ropes around his transformations. Transforming multiple times without a long rest of at least 4 hours(Sleep, Realaxation, unpowered sports activity, etc), results in his transformation going haywire(for examples, the form he transforms into becomes Uncontrollable, meaning, the flaw Uncontrollable is applied to the entire Alternate Form). Furthemore, he can no longer change forms, until he takes a long rest of at least 4 hours. On the other hand, if severely stressed, or making rapid and/or frequent changes in succession, the changes can overwhelm Meatheral and become uncontrolled, flitting from one form to another, including back to human form). Like an Open Book: Jerry is fused with the Tetramegeton, and while the magical grimoire does not exist in a physical plane, everyone with an ounce of magic talent within close proximity to Jerry(a 10x10 room) is able to discern that Jerry has possession of its powers(provided that they can percieve Jerry or one of his alternate forms at the moment). At the very least, they'd know that Jerry is fused with a powerful artifact that holds/emanates elemental powers. Spell Chanting: Asuming one of the alternate forms requires Meatheral to chant the appropriate spell, something which he may not always be able to do(Such as when gagged, when in vacuum, etc.) Secret: Identity. Talentless: Though he is able to channel the few spells Tetramegeton still has intact, Jerry has zero talent and less than zero aptitude for magic, (recognising spells, performing rituals, etc). Tetramegeton: Jerry is fused with a grimoire called Tetramegeton, also known as the Libri Quatuor Elementorum, or the Book of Four Elements. The book is sentient, though it has yet to exhibit any form of communication, other than directly feeding the transformation spells into Jerry's mind, and it is very sought out by magic cabals and circles. Serge bit his lips, as the numbing shock from the attack shot throughout his nervous system. "Well..." He responded to Lady Shen's comments. "Do you... really... want... an answer... to that?" He tried taunting the woman and keep the bravado up, but it was obvious that Lady Shen had hit a nerve... or ten. He could still feel a sizeable amount of control over his motor functions, but even that took effort on his side. He had clenched his fist tightly, both to brace himself and to retaliate against the crime boss, but Subito's words held him back. "R-Right... besides, we don't have to worry about anything. I've... no doubt that we won't even need to move a muscle, in order to get out of here safe and sound." Taking a deep breath, he allowed air to relax his muscles, but Serge never let go sight of Lady Shen. He didn't want to push his luck, he made no mistake about that, but he wasn't just gonna let her clobber him so easily either. If she wanted to hit a sandbag, she'd find that she should put some effort in it first.

Serge knew that his buddy Subito was made of some very sturdy material, but he couldn't help but wince internally at the sight of his friend being electrocuted(or whatever kind of pain the device around his neck delivered). That he had the pressence of mind and self-restrain to keep his emotions to himself was nothing short of a miracle for the young hero, and it took everything he had to keep it that way and not lunge at their captor. "Yes, yes, you are a terrible, wicked, manipulative crone, and you have us all restrained well under your all-mighty grip, so we should bow our heads and praise our gods that you still oh-so-graciously allow us to draw breath, whoop-dee-doo." Serge mocked Lady Shen, all the while trying to reign in his fast-beating heart. "Well, seeing as you don't like a mystery, I have to note that a very important fact regarding our capture from you has so far eluded you." "This," He pointed at the collar in his neck "is the only thing keeping you from having to spend the rest of your life being fed by a spoon. And that's less out of a fear for our lives, let me assure you, but more out of morbid curiosity; to see where exactly it is you are going with all these. To say that we're not affraid of dying would be a pointless lie, let us not mince our words here." Taking immense courage from seeing his friend stand on his two feet and take Shen's punishment, he continued "But, you see, and though I speak mainly for myself, I doubt that is any different for Heraldo and Tsunami here, I am very well prepared to give my life, if it meant that it would serve to annoy people such as yourself; people who think they can bend everyone else to their will, arrogant people who think themselves above, who would dispose others as if it meant nothing to them. So... yes, we are to serve as an example, for Tsunami to behave. But the thing is..." Taking one step closer, Net Fly noted "The thing is... the moment we stop being alive, the moment we are harmed beyond repair... we stop being useful to you. Do you think that, at such a moment Tsunami would be more inclined to be cooperative? Well, then, you've got another thing coming all together. SO BRING IT ALL, THE FIRE AND THE LIGHTNING. DO YOUR WORST. BUT PLEAAASE! For heaven's sake, spare us the theatricalities." Serge gritted his teeth. He might have bitten more than he could chew, but he'd be damned if he went down without a word.

Serge observed Lady Shen carefully, as she greeted the three Clairemont students with open arms and a smile to kill. While he had joked about it before, he was still unsure as to why Lady Shen had not harmed them so far, even though that was well within her sphere of actions that she would take. This was personal, but it was also much more than simply that. Subito's guess was quickly shot down, and he couldn't find fault in the logic behind that; true, it would be faaar too much trouble to go through with all that conditioning, there has been a substantial recorded failure with such methods in the past, and while Lady Shen struck him for a traditionalist, she seemed far too calculative and intelligent to rely on proven failed methods. So what did that all leave them with... "You want us to fight your students, don't you?" Serge noted. "That's why you even left me keep my powersuit. True, you have those restrainning collars on our necks, but you had no reason not to take precautions against even that, deny us as many chances of escape as possible, no matter how slim the probabilities... You want us to go there and show you whether your precious little soldiers are up to whatever tasks you've planned for them..." Net Fly said, attempting to make as accurate a summation as he could.

GM Post With that said, no more protests were raised, leaving the group of Carmen, William, the Captain of the S.S. Gadelica, Pedro, and Dennis, to embark on their quest to reach the back of the island, find the demons, and make sure they posed no more trouble. Before they left, they were outfitted with 5 Handheld Transcievers. "We found these Walkie-Talkies in the cellar, during the night after you left." Alex explained to Carmen. "They seemed to work fine within the perimeter of the estate, although some small garbage noise started to occur near the edges, probably due to the hail. I doubt they'll be of any use during your venture in the cave, but at least, they should help us maintain radio contact while you are in the surface of the island... hopefully, that is." Considering that the cellphones required access to a remote satelite in order to reroute the calls, it was no wonder that the far simpler Walkie-Talkies were at least able to send a direct message back and forth within a small distance, even with this abominable weather. The way to the back of the manor lead Carmen through a number of doors and passages, before revealing the backyard of the estate. Now that it was day, heavy footprints could be spotted through the ground, indicating that a large sized creature, or quite possibly many, had rampaged through the backyard. While everyone steeled themselves in anticipation for the worst, no sound could be heard other than the breaths of the group.

After jumping from the building, Net Fly allowed the Earth's gravity to give him an acceleration boost, before taking flight again, mere meters above the ground. As he closed in on the gas station, he witnessed the lightning sparks emanate from within, but he had little time to assess the damage. Taking advantage of the accumulated Momentum from the fall, Net Fly gathered the energy into his two hands. The energy took the form of sonic waves, circling his blue colored gloves, and as soon as the young hero spotted the two robbers, he targeted both of them, and threw his fists at them from a distance, letting two blasts of sonic energy escape his fists and travel towards the two criminals. Unfortunately, only one of the two blasts found its target, but now that he was here, Net Fly had more important things to worry about. "Hey, you two alright?" He asked the two crimefighters with concern. "Don't worry, I've got your backs now."

Seeing the two combat-ready heroes enter the fray with him, Net Fly relaxed his hands. He once again shot, this time, heading towards the two robbers who were left standing. Instead of bashing their heads in, however, he slipped by them, getting the frazzled attendant they were pestering up to this moment. "Sorry, sir." Grabbing him with a tackle, he shot towards the wall, bouncing with his feet off of it, and flying away from the station. "Civilian safety first." He explained to Osprey and Foreshadow. "Hope you two don't mind. I'll be back in a sec." With that, the grey costumed hero made his way towards a nearby rooftop. Letting the man down on the rooftop, he said, matter-o-factly. "Apologies for the inconvenience, sir. I'll make sure your coworker gets out unharmed as well. Feel free to call the police, in the meantime." Saluting him, he jumped off the roof, and headed back to the gas station.
