Hronos will attempt to pin Boris under his truck. 1d20+6 → [2,6] = (8) Surging to try again 1d20+6 → [4,6] = (10) Hronos will end his turn.
-
While the rifle shot pierced the robotic being, Hronos ignored the minimal damage he sustained, and pursued Boris, despite the spetznas' stern warnings. He still wished to avoid injuring the human, if he could avoid it, so he instead opted to take a defensive stance, as he carefully approached the sniper from above his cover. He then spoke in the Russian's language "Let me state once again that I am affraid I cannot do that. Surrender now, or I will be forced to use excessive force, in order to subdue you." The Mechanodynamis continued hovering above the Russian's head, keeping an intent eye at his trigger finger.

Concentration check for Defensive Roll: 1d20 → [3] = (3) Toughness Save: 1d20+8 → [12,8] = (20) Fails. Hronos, for his turn, will instead take flight and get behind the Spetz (100 out of 1'000ft) as a move action As a standard action, he takes the Total Defense action, +4 dodge bonus to defense.

As Serge came to his senses, he coughed suddenly, as he shot upwards, black soot escaping his mouth. "Wha-cough cough, What happen-Haurgh-cough-cough!" He tried vocalizing, as more smoke escaped his lungs. He desperately tried punching his chest with his arms, only to realise that he was wearing handcuffs, which prevented him from doing so. He looked uncertainly around him, once he managed to calm his perspiratory system down. "Where am I? Last thing I remember there was that fire in the building, and..." as the memories came back to him, he slowly started putting the pieces of the puzzle together, one by one. Ah, now I remember... It was a trap... but a trap to capture who? Me? Or any hero unfortunate enough to be passing by...? So... where am I? What is this place?

Toughness Save 1d20+8 → [10,8] = (18) As a Full Round Action, Hronos will use Time Stopper on both Super Spetznas and his Vehicle Stun Area attack, 1'000 ft radius, Distracting. Reflex Save vs DC20 to halve the effect Reflex Save vs DC20 Stun. Hronos is flat-footed.

Hanging his head slightly, Hronos let an air full of static in exasperation "It is unfortunate. I had wished that you would be reasonable. It is clear to me now that not only do you intend to cause trouble, you are blindingly unremorseful in regards to the consequences of your actions. You would blindly follow the letter of your national allegiant duty, and ignore the spirit and intention behind it." His chest started transforming, revealing a hole that exposed the spherical-shaped energy spark that was the Essense of Time. Hronos had begun powering up his attack, intend on preventing Boris from achieving whatever goals his twisted sense of patriotism had led him to. "I am affraid that I cannot acquiesce to your command and refrain from stopping you." He threatened, as he was ready to take action.

Hearing his words, Hronos replied to the Spetznaz soldier, ignoring the rifle trained at him. "It is comforting to know that you wish to avoid conflict. Let me assure you that neither myself nor the heroine Velocity are in this base as representatives of the United States of America, nor are we here as representatives of any other country. As we have already explained to the head scientist of this facility, Doctor Ivan Andrejevic Sobchak, and Captain Lvov, the Stopwatch device that this facility houses is a dangerous and potentially unstable item, capable of mass scale tampering with the time-space continuum." Pausing to let the words properly sink in, the Mechanodynamis abridges "That is to say, if the Stopwatch is not handled carefully, it could lead to the ruination of not only this facility or your country Russia, but to the entire world as well! It is therefore imperative, for everyone in this planet, to ensure that such an event does not occur. To that end, I would request that you lower your weapon, and explain to me what it is you seek to accomplish in greater detail. If I know that, then perhaps I will be able to assist you."
-
Hronos contemplated for a few milliseconds what it was that the man who ran was up to. The object in his hands reminded him of similar weapons that humans in this planet use. Of course, seeing as this facility was manned by military personel as well, it was to be expected. However, it gave Hronos a grave feeling, as to why he was running. It seemed something urgent was driving him, but if something had happpened at the cave, and they had requested back up, they should have brought word to Hronos as well. That meant that the man was taking action outside the parameters of what Velocity and her two friends were operating under, even potentially getting them into danger, and while Hronos had no doubt that the Freedom Leaguer could look after herself, it would no doubt cause her at least some trouble, in regards to sir Robert and miss Steed. Deciding that he needed to find out what was going on, he shut down his enhanced chronal senses, and powered up his Support Motor. Flying towards the vehicle the man had entered, he attempted to intercept it.

GM Post The captain of the S.S. Gadelica looked at Carmen, her eyes widening at the transformation of the reporter's clothes. A few of the sailors spotted the spectacle as well, and some trained their rifles at Carmen, all the while recoiling a few steps. The captain raised her hand and said "At ease, everyone!!..." in order to buy herself some time to clear her thoughts, before anyone got any bright ideas about filling Carmen with holes. Then, realisation dawned her. "You are... You're one of those... Superheroes, aren't you?... Heh!" At the mention of the word Superheroes, and the laughter that escaped her, everyone else lowered their weapons. They were still unsure as to what exactly Carmen was, but at least, they wouldn't jump the trigger at her smallest movement. "Hehehe... HAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!" While everyone had relaxed, the Captain's outburst puzzled them. "Ahahahaaa.... oh my... so that's it, huh? That's why you weren't affraid to move in the out without escort... hehheheee..." "Ohhh! I see!" "Yeah, now that she-Uh, I mean, the captain mentions it, yeah, it does make sense." One of the female officers remarked. "I still think she might be one of those monsters in disquise...." "Tch, shut up Tom...." "Jus' sayin', 'sall." Ignoring the chatter going on, the Captain said to Carmen. "Very well, then, miss Canto. Me and my crew are counting on your support."

Hronos nodded in understanding with what Velocity had to say. "Ah, I understand. I still have a lot to learn about the ways the Earthen population operates. Please forgive my ignorance on the matter. The threat of Collapse is certainly a purely hypothetical one, at this point in our investigation, that is true, but the pieces have already exhibited documented reality-altering properties, such as in the incidents I was involved with, that took place a few months ago." Hronos then listened to Velocity, as she revealed the possible relationship she had with Collapse, that of a mother and a child. He remained quiet, for quite some time, before responding "... I am not able to fault you; your reasons for withhelding such poignant information are certainly valid. Regardless, the fact that you feel comfortable enough to share such critical information with me, proves to myself beyond any shred of doubt that I am doing the right choice in letting you take the lead." Taking a respectful bow, he added "I am pleased by your honesty, and I hope that I will prove worthy of your trust." "As for the pieces, then, I would suggest that I should be the one who stays back first, guarding the piece I possess. Afterwards, we will devise a plan on how to handle me seeing the third piece accordingly."
-
Hronos watched carefully, as Velocity conversed with the Russians. Finally, when the Captain finished, he said "We will come with you, but before that happens, please allow us a few moments to converse about a few important points." He then called to the superheroine. "Miss Velocity, I understand your urgency and I share it as well; As soon as we encounter the last piece, we will be able to comprehend more information regarding the Stopwatch. However, There are two points I feel I should raise." "The first point is that I am not comfortable at all at the idea that we have to keep any secret, at least, as far as the Stopwatch fragments are concerned. I do not have anything to hide, and the scope of the potential danger these fragments pose to the world do not warrant anything short of us trying our best to prevent them from harming it. However, as you are a representative of the Freedom League, who as I have gathered possess the highest recognizable authority in regards to threatening situations for Earth, I will respect and trust your judgement in dealing with this situation, at least, barring extenuating circumstances." "The second point, is that while investigating together the shard may yield the maximum amount of information that we could gather, it may also critically worsen the situation. Certainly, if all three fragments were activated at the same time, then <bringing the fragments together in close proximity could inadvertly cause great harm in the time-space continuum, perhaps irrepairable, too> would not be an unreasonable conclusion to draw. I would suggest that we first keep one fragment away safe, prefferably, with one of us guarding it. Then, we could take turns invastigating the last piece, before deciding a more drastic course of action. That is all I have to say on that point. I will be leaving to you the decision of our course of action."

Hronos Walked outside the plane alongside the rest of the group. Seeing them grab their coats, the mechanical being realised that the temperature of the area was decidedly low, compared to the City climate. "Hmmm... is this weather causing you discomfort? It would be a simple matter for me to adjust the temperature in the area around me to levels compareable to the ones Freedom City exhibits." He explained to Velocity, Robert, and Emma. His attention, however, was drawn to the people conversing, in a language that sounded foreign to him, at the moment. Making a brief adjustment, he heard what the men had to say. Deciding that he didn't much like playing games, he said. "Greetings, Captain Lvov, and Doctor Konev. Doctor Ivan Andrejevic Sobchak, however," Indicating the scientist, Hronos continued. "I am familiar with your research in regards to temporal physics. From what I gathered by reading your papers, it appears to me that you certainly know your subject. It is therefore with the utmost respect that I hold for your inquisitive and insightful mind, that I ask of you that you do not withhold any information to me and my aqcuaintances here, in regards to the temporal anomalies that occured today." Further revealing that he understood their words, Hronos continued, addressing the Captain. "As for you, Captain Lvov, I understand that you are merely performing your duty to your country, but we are not here as representatives of any nationality. We are only interested in finding out the deeper cause behind the anomalies, and ensuring that they do not cause any form of damage, irrepairable or otherwise, to the wellfare of this planet. By asking proffessor Ivan Andrejevic Sobchak to keep quiet and adhere to the state official secrets act, as you called it, you are only doing a disservice to your country. As far as we are concerned, whatever happens in these facilities does not need to be revealed to any other party, political or not."

GM Post The Pier 01:43 About half an hour had passed, the hailstorm continuing relentlessly. Carmen had managed to recover from the fatigue, at least, as much as she could without a full night's rest. Two of the sailors had been struggling to stay awake, but their coworkers had roused them to attention, and helped them keep focus. By now, everyone was up and about, all packed up, and ready to weather the hailstorm, and make their way to the villa. Groups of two had been keeping close to each one of the wounded sailors, helping them stand, and making sure that they didn't further injure themselves. The Captain herself was up and about, bellowing orders at her crew. At her command, the door opened, bringing in the cold breeze from outside. "Alright, men and women, we've waited here long enough. Let's move out!" HEHHEHEHEHEEEE! This should be fun, fun, fun, master! Should any demon decide making minced meat out of your group, it will be akin to shooting fish in a barrel for that demon! Especially those poor sick fellas over there...

Hronos pondered the information Velocity parted with him. "I understand... it appears like a prudent course of action, to be certain... However, if, as you say, the Stopwatch is designed to help bring the existance of Collapse, then for what reason do they need it, other than simply destroying it, that is?" Certainly, a powerful device such as this would prove invaluable for preventing a great number of disasters, especially if it allows for true time manipulation of any kind. Hronos thought. Perhaps THAT is the reason the future group is coveting the device... When miss Steed asked him, Hronos recalled to a few minutes back, where he was on his way to finding one of the pieces. "As a matter of fact, I am indeed aware of the location of another piece. Whether that piece is the last one to exist in our timeline or not, THAT I could not tell with certainty. What I CAN say, however, is that it is the last one of the three pieces that I sensed had been activated. Its current location lies to the South of our position."

"Tsk, oh gimme a break, will ya?" Net Fly muttered, as he spotted the disks. While he managed to avoid the first one, the second one caught him unaware, and send a stunning shocking current troughout his body. "TzzAAAARRRGGHH" the young hero screamed in protest, as the pulse made him black out and lose control of his motor functions, and along with those, his ability to keep afloat. He fell on the floor, and he fell hard, and while the force of the impact was enough to bring him back to his senses, the excess electricity in his body still ran strong, preventing him from recovering control of his body. Comeoncomeoncomeon, move, dammit! He cursed at himself, while he was barely able to pant and breath. And the fumes that the burning building exhuded didn't make matters any easier for the Blue Streak.

"Hehe, no reason to be defensive, Tona." Serge laughed. He had already experienced teleporting first hand, a few months back, and he was able to handle himself a bit better than Tona and Elias, but only marginally, and he was still glad to not have to do that for the time being. "I saw it once on cable. Can't say I disliked it, but I did find the plot and pacing weird in a few places here and there. Then again, I was what, thirteen at the time?" Turning to Sam, he added "Anyway, as you might have inferred, Ferris Bueller's Day Off is a movie from the mid 80s or so, about a guy named Ferris Bueller, who decides to take a day off of school, and there's also his best friend and his girlfriend who accompany him, while the principal of the school is hunting him or something, and then wacky things happen... and... uhhh... I... don't seem to remember much of the plot, really..." He trailed off, with a slight embarrassment. He decided to ask Elias instead "What about you, Elias? Have you watched it recently?"
