Net Fly takes 20 on his Computers check or his Knowledge Technology check, whichever is aplicable, for a total of 30, in order to determine the properties of the control panel. If Net Fly cannot take 20 on those checks, he takes 10, for a total of 20

Serge sighed at his friend's question. "A lot of people. Actually, too many for comfort. A more dreary thought would be that these weapons are not designed with one buyer in mind, but with many, quite possibly on opposing sides. We really shouldn't waste our time on what-ifs and whatnots, and focus on actually finding the relative evidence of what is happening here." He somberly said, following El Heraldo, who was eyeing one of the control panels with interest. Pointing at it, he said "Hey, mind letting me take a look at those?"

Everything had happened in a flash, and for a few moments there, Serge was left in a stupefying silence as his classmates had jumped to action. "Whoa, there!" Serge went, as the magician's terrifying slam rocked him out of his seat and into the ground. Finally mustering the presence of mind to get his act together, Serge grabbed his backpack and made a run towards the exit, hoping the fleeing crowd and his bliding speed would mask his identity from any and all onlookers. Ah, the much maligned troubles of maintaining a secret identity. he thought, making his way towards the nearest restroom, in order to get in gear, and help the others.
-
In the time that it took for the medical staff to examine Marcus, Serge finally got his breath under control, and while he could feel the pounding of his heart all the way up to his neck, he felt more relaxed, overall, and ready to tackle any new challenge sent on his way. After hearing Archer's explanation, Serge got up, pulled his mask(and with that, his 'game-face') back on, and headed towards the room that was assigned for him. "Keep your cool, everyone. I'm sure that we can make it." he stated matter-o-factly to the others. "Just make sure to keep your reactions ready, and everything will go smoothly." Hopefully...

Reflex check to lower the trip 1d20+7 → [8,7] = (15) Acrobatics check to resist the trip 1d20+5 → [9,5] = (14) phooey Unless standing on his seat grants him a stability bonus, Serge(Who is out of his costume) get up as a move action, and will run(250mph) out of the room and head for the nearest restroom, and he will change clothes there as soon as he can.

For a long time, Serge lied unmoving from his spot, his battle stance unchanged. To his great shame, his mind registered the call for a break, but his body was still not ready to give up. Perhaps it understood that if it let the andrenaline that sustained it, it would collapse on the spot. One hit! We were so close... One hit... Serge repeated in his mind again and again, as if his thoughts were running on a loop. Managing to find the strength and move again, Serge put his fists down, though, he noted, the wouldn't unclench. Moving slowly, he reached Marcus, and putting a hand on his shoulder, he said "... it... it couldn't be helped, senior. We should have taken him down before that. We all failed." He said, his face full of sweat and tears behind his mask. "That's the point of the practice; to know our limits, and learn to work around them" But if that's so, then why does it hurt so much? "Let's just catch our breaths, for now."

Initiative for Net Fly! 1d20+3 → [1,3] = (4) .... Anyone wanna trade? No? Awww.

"We're already here, aren't we? Might as well see it through." Serge responds, as the two of them continue to explore the place. Looking at the layout, Serge suggests "Hmmm... maybe we should start with the weapons? See how they're made, if there's anything in particular off, that kind of stuff. What do you think?" He asked, all the while keeping an eye out for trouble. "Splitting up, we could cover more ground, more quickly, but that probably wouldn't be a wise idea, as not only would we effectively halve our strength, what with the poor lighting, we would be hardpressed to both of us find our way around."
-
"As good a guess as any." Serge responded. He wasn't completely convinced on the matter; why go to all this trouble just for illegally manufacturing and selling weapons? Still, he himself had no better theory, and why even bother? It doesn't change their situation, at any rate. "Nope, nothing that I'm aware of, no. There are a few weird designs, that much is for sure, but I wouldn't bet my life they are robot related." Taking one last look around, Serge asks Subito about their current course of action. "So... are we gonna look inside any further, or do we call for backup, first?"
-
"Tsk, tsk. I mean, really, Kristin. Who brings chocolate as a movie snack, when Pop-corn is obviously the superior choice by far?" Serge said in mock exasperation, and mimicked grabbing a handful of popcorn. Realising that he hadn't bought any to begin with, his face moped as he continued "...then again, I shouldn't be one to talk, since I didn't even get a snack in the first place." Oh well. he thought. At least the movie is enjoyable, and while the visuals were primitive, and some of the moves felt stiff, the editing at least gives the action a dynamic feeling.
-
Still groggy from the effects of the blow he recieved, Serge struggled to keep his focus on Expiostinot, and hearing Archer's suggestion of taking this easy only served to ignite Serge's feelings of pride and his drive for success. No. he thought. We're so close, now. Kristin's right; most villains don't much care for giving us a room to breath. If we back away now, we will never grow stronger, never move forward. Those and a lot more were Net Fly's thoughts. He wanted to articulate them, wanted to tell the others how he felt, but he couldn't find the strenght, couldn't find the air he needed. Pushing through the exhaustion, he managed to shout "Don't stop! One Good hit! That's-hah-hah all we need!" That's what we must keep thinking. One more hit. We've accomplished so much, so far. If even one of us manages it, we will win.
-
"You hea-Wha?" Net Fly said all of a sudden, as if continuing something he was saying earlier, and then caught himself. Wha-What happened. he thought to himself, as he slowly realised that the blow had struck him so hard that he blacked out for a few seconds there. They were over in an instant, but now, they felt like hours. Refocusing his attempts, the hero pushed himself near the limits, trying to correctly calculate Expiostinot's weak points and guide his fists. He went all out, but none of the fists came even close to touching the villain's solidified recorded image, and with every punch wasted, Net Fly felt himself brought a little closer to exhaustion, as he desperately thought One punch. Just one punch. Please, let one punch land. "Just... hah-One... hah-hah-Punch... hah.... haaah..."
-
In that case, Net Fly will take a full Action to aim, and with some Extra effort, he will use his Sonic Fists in conjuction with All-Out Attack and Accurate Attack 1d20+13 → [4,13] = (17) yeah... These numbers don't kid. Oh well, I did my best. It's up to you guys Next round on, Net Fly will be exhausted.

"An automated process, perhaps? I'm not sure myself, either." Serge shruged, not feeling sure that he would much like the answer to that question. Deciding to ignore that for now, he focused on reading the papers before him. "Hmmmm. Huh. Nanaaana serials, blahhhh blahhh. Oh! Huh?" Taking a few more papers to run some cross-referrences, Serge's eyebrows lifted upwards. "What the- HUH? Oh!.... Oh my... Hey, Subito, take look at these." Serge says to Subito, after he himself took a careful look, indicating some of the papers "This may not have been a villain's lair, at least, for the traditional sense of the world villain, but it was definitely far from a legal establishment. Looks like those are weapon schematics; guns, mini-rays, grenades, chemical bombs, you name it." "So, you may say, a secret facility designed to safely check lethal weaponry, while a bit suspicious, doesn't necessarily sound wrong or outright illegal, right? Well..." Taking away that paper and presenting Subito another, Serge pointed at the catalogued items "See here? All weapons are listed and accounted for, allong with their performance specifications, but no id numbers, no safety protocol code, and no material id numbers. Like, no-one was meant to even semi-officially look at these. And look at this here. This is a delivery order, but it lists furniture of all kinds, not weapons. The manufacturing origin is specified as a place somewhere in the docks of Kingston, in East Freedom City, and that the wood used is delivered via truck from here. The forest, I mean. And even THAT's not the half of it." he emphasized, finally lowering the papers. "There are things here that I don't even have the slightest clue of what they do or what they mean, but if I could hazard a guess then I'd say nothing good, for sure. This whole place stinks, and it's not the pleasant, musty kind of odor you get by being sealed for days, months, or even years."

Ummm.... Two points, Granspear. One, your sheet lists you have the Improved Grab feat, which, unless I'm mistaken, makes the grapple work automatically on succesful unarmed attack rolls, which means you would get to initiate a grapple AND force Professor Expiostinot to roll a TOU DC vs your Unarmed damage[20DC vs a 7 Toughness]. Two, Expiostinot has somewhere around 14 attack, 12-13 strength, and maybe 5 super strength, meaning that his grapple check should be around 26-32... meaning that unless he critically fails, he escapes the grapple :(

Thank you for your input, Dr Archeville . Ok, Addressing the issues one by one: A)Fixed. B)Removed 1r Skills completely(no skill is bellow 6 ranks) C)Blast is no more Reflex based. Looking at the Alternate Save description, I see that it clearly states Alternate Save(Reflex) as illegal for a Toughness based power. My bad... D)Removed Boost from the array, and added Sustained Enhanced Dexterity outside of it. I do have a question, however. I see why Boost Dexterity and Boost Movement would be considered cheap, even if activating them meant Hronos loses his dodge bonus(leaving him with +1 on his Defence, effectively meaning that unless critically failling, the opponent would be hardpressed to miss Hronos), but is Boost Intelligence/Quickness out of the question(Even outside an array)? EDIT: Enhanced abilities are no longer Sustained E)Replaced them with Paralyze. F)This one is explained under his Power Description Entry(Right Above the History Entry, itself, a work in progress): The intent, of course, being that I would buy it off, and even add a mental Immunity[1/2] at a later date, eventually, signifying his ability to better shield himself against mental effects returning to operation(Somewhat similar to how he lacks the ability to travel faster thab light-speed, which, since he is bound to Earth, for the time being)

Player Name: Vahnyu Character Name: Hronos Power Level: 10 (150/150PP) Trade-Offs: -4 Melee Attack / +4 Melee Damage, -2 Defense / +2 Toughness Unspent Power Points: 0 Progress To Bronze Status: 0/30 In Brief: An ancient mechanical being, Hronos has an array of inbuilt, interchangeable armaments that grand him control over time/space. Alternate Identity: None[floatr][/floatr] Identity: Public Birthplace: UNKOWN Occupation: Wielder of Time Affiliations: Mechanodynames Family: Mechanodynames Description: Age: UKNOWN, estimated to billions of years (DoB: UKNOWN) Apparent Age: Not Applicable Gender: Male Ethnicity: Mechanodynames Height: 7'5" ft Weight: 230 pounds. Eyes: Light-Purple Hair: Not Applicable Description: Hronos is a Mechanodymes. He has a human-like structure. His body is composed of techno-mechanical parts. His skin is a Light-Purple, with visible circuits. His hands look like Navy-Blue mechanical armor gauntlets. His upper body looks like a Navy-Blue robotic breastplate covering a white body armor. He appears to wear a Navy-Blue mechanical belt on his waist. The mouth in his Navy Blue helmet-like head is completely covered by a White mouthpiece, he sports White earpeaces and a Light-Purple visor for eyes. His legs look like Light-Blue and White armored boots from the knees down. Finally, his back holds a Blue rocket-pack. Power Descriptions: As a Mechanodynames, Hronos has a sturdy mechanical body resistant to damage and adverse natural conditions. He is able to quickly process and employ all languages from intelligent living beings, as well as computers. His body is able to accomodate accelerated modes of self-transportation, including flight, thanks to the rocket-pack that protrudes on his back, and his thought processor is normally capable of carrying difficult calculations and executing rapid actions at 5 times the normal pace. He is also the assigned Wielder of the Essence of Time. His techno-mechanical body is capable of processing this internalized essence, and reconfigure his body parts at will, granding him with a versatile arsenal of armaments, and granting him control over time itself. Some of them follow. Chronal Blaster: Hronos reconfigures his arms into hand-canons that shoot blue-ish hued blasts imbued with chronal energy causing the recipients pain, by affecting the recipients' base components(such as cells, molecules, or even ectoplasmic matter) topically, and forcing them to vibrate out of sync. Deccelerator Blaster: Hronos reconfigures his hands into one big canon, that is capable of hindering the recipient's ability to percieve danger, avoid it, and even subconsiously dodge harm. Inter-Dimensional Arms A & B: Hronos activates his arms' inbuilt mini-chronodimensional portal generators, making them capable of breaking the barriers of time and space. Depending on the configuration, Hronos can rapidly pummel his foe up close from all angles at once, or he can employ his numerous arms to wrestle and subdue his foe from affar, as well as handle delicate tasks. Substitution: By activating this device, Hronos is able to manipulate or fold the space-time continuum in such ways that he instantly trades places with another cooperating being. Support Motor: This enhancing device redirects Hronos' own power from many different times and apply them all at once, granting him huge amounts of strength. Temporal Nexus Generator: By activating a mechanism that distorts reality around him so that it is able to carry time-paradoxes, Hronos is able to summon parallel versions of himself. He can telepathically coordinate with them, and while present, all of them are equally as real. Temporal Shift: By activating an internal device, Hronos is able to step outside the normal boundaries of time and space, and go completely unnoticed by most senses. Time Stopper: This powerful device feeds directly off of the Essence of Time to create a sphere in which the recipients are temporally frozen in place, unable to move or even act. It requires a big amount of concenrtation to activate, and as thus, Hronos is left defenceless when he uses it. However, spending the last few millenia in a lethargic sleep, a lot of his capabilities, are malfunctioning, and thus, set offline, until he can recover them. His computational capacity appears to be hampered by fragmentation. Hronos' insulators have severyly degraded, making electricity and magnetism severely affect his techno-mechanical body, and due to being incactive for many milenia, his mental defences are slightly unregulated, afecting his ability to withstand mental attacks. History: Spirit. Life. Time. Death. Knowledge. These are the five key Essences that have been encompassing the world, ever since the beginning of time. When the world was created, there were also created five beings of robotical nature. These beings came to be known as Mechanodynames, and they were each tasked with safeguarding an Essence. Psihi, the Holder of Spirit. Zoi, the Holder of Life. Hronos, the Holder of Time. Thanatos, the Holder of Death. And Gnosi, the Holder of Knowledge. The Essences granted each one of them a unique and diverse assortment of powerful abilities, which further augmented their natural capabilities. Using those powers, the Five Wielders were able to protect the galaxy from various threats, both from within and from without the creation. One of the most powerful of them was Catastrophe, the Bringer of Annihilation, who invaded the world and waged a terrible war with the Mechanodynames. During the war, the Five Wielders, assisted by the first civilizations, managed to stave off Catastrophe's forces, and in a final climactic battle, they repelled Catastrophe into the Entropy Zone. Doing so, however, required a huge energy release, that damaged and scattered the Mechanodynames towards the five corners of the universe. The blast had rendered Hronos offline, as he drifted through space, until he finally arrived at the solar system, during the accretion of the planet that was to become known as Earth. The next 4 billion years, Hronos remained close to the core of the planet, and his slumber seemed that it would last for eternity. That eventually changed, though, when the various disturbances caused from the constant battles between superpowered beings that were waged on Earth, shook Hronos' systems to turn back on. After crawling his way out of the ground and into the surface, Hronos came face to face with the civilization that had started to thrive in this planet. He soon realised that many of his systems were malfunctioning, and that he couldn't escape the gravity of Earth. Deciding that he must have arrived there for a reason, Hronos set forth to travel and protect the Earth and it's inhabitants from all threats, his journey eventually leading him to Freedom City. Personality & Motivation: Hronos is a very calm, and at times, deliberate individual. He speaks in a very polite and formal manner, when conversing with others. His sense of duty has been instilled in him ever since his creation, and drives him to protect those in need from danger. Powers & Tactics: Hronos values subdoing his opponents as efficiently as possible. That is why he prefers opening up a battle by employing the Deccelerator Blaster if faced with one foe, or the Time Stopper if faced with multiple foes, and then pick them appart with long ranged artillery. When the fight becomes close and personal, he switches gears into employing the Support Motor, which greatly enhances his combat capabilities, and uses his nigh-unescapable grip to render his enemies helpless. Finally, when a foe proves especially stubborn, he attacks them with a vicious barrage of unarmed blows, taking advantage of the fact that his Interdimensional Arms can come from all angles, ignoring tempo-spatial restrictions, and taking opponents by surprise. Complications: Duty: Is bound to protect the integrity of the time/space continuum, as Holder of the Essence of Time. Enemy: Catastrophe Sub-Optimal: A lot of his capabilities are malfunctioning and are offline Stranded: Is bound to Earth Out of Touch: Has been inactive for years, and has little to no grasp of current events Abilities: 8 + 8 + (-10) + 8 + 8 + (-4) = 18PP Strength: 18/38 (+4/+14) Dexterity: 18 (+4) Constitution: --- Intelligence: 18 (+4) Wisdom: 18 (+4) Charisma: 6 (-2) Combat: 8 + 6 = 14PP Initiative: +20 Attack: +4 Melee, +4 Ranged, +6 Chrono-Dimensional Configuration, +10 Chronal Blaster/Deccelerator Blaster A & B Grapple: +8/+22 Support Motor Defense: +8 (+3 Base, +5 Dodge Focus), +1 Flat-Footed Knockback: -6 Saving Throws: 0 + 4 + 4 = 8PP Toughness: +12 (+0 Con, +8 Protection, +4 Defensive Roll) Fortitude: --- Reflex: +8 (+4 Dex, +4) Will: +8 (+4 Wis, +4) Skills: 56R = 14PP Computers 6 (+10)Skill Mastery Craft (Electronic) 6 (+10)Skill Mastery Craft (Mechanical) 6 (+10)Skill Mastery Disable Device 6 (+10)Skill Mastery Knowledge (Physical Sciences) 6 (+10)Skill Mastery Knowledge (Tactics) 8 (+12) Knowledge (Technology) 6 (+10)Skill Mastery Notice 6 (+10)Skill Mastery Sense Motive 6 (+10)Skill Mastery Feats: 18PP Defensive Roll 2 Dodge Focus 5 Eidetic Memory Fearless Improved Grab Improved Initiative 4 Improved Pin Move-By Action Skill Mastery 2 (Computers, Craft(Electronic), Craft(Mechanical), Disable Device, Knowledge(Physical Sciences), Knowledge(Technology), Notice, Sense Motive) Powers: 29 + 4 + 30 + 2 + 8 + 9 + 3 = 85PP Chrono-Dimensional Configuration 12 (24PP Array; Feats: Alternate Powers 4, Accurate) [29PP] Base Power: Blast 10 (500-1'000ft; Feats: Accurate 2, Improved Range 2) [24PP] (Chronal Blaster) Alternate Power: Damage 10 (Extras: Autofire, Feats: Indirect 3, Mighty) [24PP] (Inter-Dimensional Arms A) Alternate Power: Enhanced Strength 20 (Extras: Linked[super Strength]) + Super Strength 2(Effective Strength 48; Heavy Load 9.6 tons; Extras: Linked[Enhanced Strength], Feats: Groundstrike 140ft radius, Shock Wave 140x140ft cone, Thunder Clap 70ft radius) [20 + 4 = 24PP] (Support Motor) Alternate Power: Paralyze 10 (500-1'000ft; Extras: Alternate Save(Reflex), Range[Ranged], Flaws: Action[Full Round], Feats: Accurate 2, Improved Range 2) [24PP] (Deccelerator Blaster) Alternate Power: Stun 10 (Extras: Alternate Save (Reflex), Area (Burst) 1'000ft radius, Selective, Flaws: Action (Full Round Action), Distracting, Feats: Progression[Area] 3, Reversible) [24PP] (Time Stopper) Comprehend 2 (Languages 2) [4PP] (Speech Pattern Recognition Module) Immunity 30 (Fortitude) [30PP] (Robotical Structure) Immunity 2 (Time/Temporal Damage) [2PP] (Time Shield) Movement System 4 (8PP Array; Feats: Alternate Power) [9PP] Base Power:Flight 4 (100mph/1'000ft per Move Action) [8PP] Alternate Power: Speed 4 (100mph/1'000ft per Move Action; Extras: Linked(Super Movement)) (Descriptive Name, Descriptors) + Super Movement 2 (Wall Crawling[Ground Speed]) [4+4=8PP] Protection 8 [8PP] (Plating) Quickness 3(x10) [3PP] (Computational Process) Drawbacks: (-2) + (-3) + (-2) = -7PP Vulnerability (Mental; Frequency: Common; Intensity: Minor [+1]) [-2PP] Vulnerability (Electricity; Frequency: Common; Intensity: Moderate [x1.5]) [-3PP] Vulnerability (Magnetism; Frequency: Uncommon; Intensity: Moderate [x1.5]) [-2PP] DC Block ATTACK RANGE SAVE EFFECT Unarmed Touch DC19 Toughness (Staged) Damage (Physical) Unarmed(Support Motor) Touch DC29 Toughness (Staged) Damage (Physical) Dimensional Arms A Touch DC29 Toughness (Staged) Damage (Physical) Chronal Blaster Ranged DC25 Toughness (Staged) Damage (Temporal) Deccelerator Blaster A Ranged DC20 Reflex (Staged) Paralyze Time Stop Area DC20 Reflex (Staged) Stun (Temporal) Totals: Abilities (18) + Combat (14) + Saving Throws (8) + Skills (14) + Feats (18) + Powers (85) - Drawbacks (7) = 150/150 Power Points

After hearing the confirmation, Serge presses the button on the remote control labeled with his left hand, while keeping with his right hand the flashlight on and pointed ahead of them. "Glad you agree. And you do make a point there, Subito; if something's locked here, it would be better if it could only horribly maim us." he jested, making it obvious that he wasn't particularly worried. "Hmmm... If this really is a manager's office..." he postulated "... then there should be some papers around here that could tell us just what exactly this place is. And somehow, I do not imagine secret lairs, villainous or otherwise, to be really concerned about safety regulations and such, whether in the city or far away from it..."
-
"My thougths exactly!" Serge agreed. Getting to work, he retrieved the power suit and some items from his back to help him make the necessary rewirements. They're not actual tools, but they will work in a pinch. he thougth to himself. Taking his time, Serge opened and cut wires, navigating through his suit's circuits as if it were second nature to him. After he did the proper rewirements on the suit, he opened the flashlight, and extracted four wires. Using a makeshift conductor, Serge connected his suit with the flashlight. Covering the conductor with an insulator, the flashlight could now be safely accessed and used even with stretched arm. It was now connected on the back of the suit, and could be holstered in the suit's belt. Taking this time to wear the rest of the suit, Serge checked powering up the flashlight, which, to his great relief, worked perfectly fine, now. "Aaaand that's one less thing to worry about." Turning his attention completely to Subito, he said "... How should I know? Most people who design high-tech secret lairs have a tendency to be off their rockers, with giant egos and superiority complexes, on top of all the entitlement issues. Anyways, d'you think I should maybe press the close button on the remote? I kinda get the feeling that the more it's left opened, whatever it is this remote opens, anyway, is not so good for the sake of the whole fabric-of-the-universe thingy."
-
"Hahaha, no, but you have to admit, Kristin, THAT would be a sight to see." Serge added jokingly on the brain-exploding matter. "Ok, now, seriously, Chloe, don't fret so much. Right now, you aren't around normal people, by any stretch of the word. We are not some random strangers who get easily disturbed; we are here to help each other be a better hero, and if that includes social skills, then you better be sure that we will do everything we can to help you get a better grasp of them, isn't that right, everyone?" He asked the others enthusiastically. Turning to Luke, he responded somewhat awkwardly "Well, I do know a thing or two about theoritical physics, but that's mostly due to the academy's courses, because let's be honest; in our line of work, it pays to know which actions will make the physical world work in your favor, and which actions will make it treat you as it's own personal chew-toy. My field is more on the applied sciences, a field I took advantage of to manufacture my power suit." Thinking a bit about the FTL part, Serge said "Hmmmm, well, I would guess that the Lor have sufficient technology to develop comparable orders of light-speed, so that being in another system in and itself doesn't matter much, but I can see how making multiple jumps would make it difficult to keep track of the pursuited object, for even the best of the best sensors."
