  1. Initiative result of 14.
  2. And Haukea would probably be the one taking part to meet cute girls.
  3. Taaaaging. Do you want an initiative roll of any kind, or should that wait?
  4. "Well, we can't just take things without telling anyone, so we do need to speak to someone... but we could take you to the Hunter Museum, yeah." Stronghold was... torn. On the one hand, this guy didn't seem to have done anything wrong... no, stealing from the Curator didn't count, it was the Curator. "At least see if this rock can help you, right? Then, we can see if you can't at least get a sample of it."
  5. GM Kingston, October 12, 2014, 10:30 P.M. The case was only a day old, and already it had achieved a certain level of notoriety- partially due to the bureaucratic tangle that had piled up in the past 24 hours. The FCPD had called in the Federal Bureau of Investigation fairly quickly... and then, unfortunately, once the media had gotten a hold of the story, information that the police had only just found out- that the girl had recently developed superpowers- got onto the media. And her name, Haruko Miyamoto. That, and new facts being discovered, necessitated bringing in AEGIS. And, after further investigation, the three agencies managed to determine that they needed even further outside assistance. Namely, some sort of mystical assistance, but that would take time. And time, quite often, was in short supply during cases like this. Which lead to the Miyamoto residence, late at night, with two cars parked outside, and a fairly-heavily build man standing outside, waiting to see if any heroes would investigate the story. It wasn't ideal, but... Well. In cases like this, any competent help would be appreciated.
  6. Haukea tries rolling Bluff not to think of various things! Yeah, unmodified Bluff result of 5.
  7. Well, up to HG_M. :3
  8. Well, here's the OOC for >Beware the Night, O Child of Light.
  9. Here's the OOC thread for Shiranui's introduction thread.
  10. Stronghold tried to keep up as long as she could... but eventually, she had to send a telepathic message to Chase Atom. Or at least... think in his direction, perhaps? Thoughtspeed always just kept the link up, after all. Uh... Mr. Atom? I can't keep up with the plane for much longer, I've been pushing it so far. I can probably give you about five minutes more of coverage, then I need to pull off, sorry. She did feel kinda bad she couldn't help Chase any more... but it'd do no good if she managed to push herself enough so that she dropped out of the sky. Or couldn't actually catch any falling passengers, or fight, or... Well, the point was, she was smart enough to know when she couldn't do any more, and she was rapidly approaching that point.
  11. Meanwhile, Haukea stepped forwards, the Orange ring glowing. A shield of pure energy appeared between a group of bystanders and the thugs, keeping them from harm, before she raised up the Ring. "I... said... stop." Bands of orange energy shimmered into existence around one thug, before another was caught up in an orange straitjacket. "Seriously! Food weapons? Can you come up with anything more... insane?" A third charged her, a baton in the form of a leek swung towards her side... a baton that Haukea didn't even bother to dodge, simply letting it clang off her new and improved costume. "Yeah, no." With a thought, the third thug was encased in a solid cocoon of energy. "Wrap you up, let the police deal with you, sounds good to me. Who's next?"
  12. Tagging, just to make sure. And yeah, if none of them can hurt PL10, there isn't much real point to doing this through mechanics.
  13. Memorial nodded, lifting up off the ground. She looked for a proper window for a second... before drifting up. "Okay, ready!" As Emily smashed her way through the door, Memorial rushed forwards, smashing her way through the window. Instantly, she slowed down, diverting power to her lasers- just in case there was something there. Her white scarf fluttering slightly in the draft from the now-open window, the cyborg scanned the room carefully, looking for any threats. And sighing at the state of the building. Something big was responsible, or something pretty strong. And she wasn't sure there were any animals on this planet that could cause this much damage. Or at least, this type of damage. But then again... she was pretty new, here.
  14. Well, in that case, I'll get the thread up later today!
  15. That's true, I just tend to think of the Dresden Files/Grimm's Fairy Tales when I think of fairies nowadays. But sure, if you're both up for it, so am I!
  16. I'm... not sure it does? The concept is, rather intentionally, a bit silly.
  17. Haukea sat, her mouth slightly open at the pandemonium. "What is this, the sixties? I mean... what. Just... food weapons. Why?" Sighing, she stood up, finishing off her chips. "Not letting you hurt people like this, though." The Orange Ring shone, the Hawaiian heroine's casual clothing being replaced by a form-hugging orange and black outfit... before glowing, slightly transparent orange armor appeared over the top, covering her torso and limbs- the whole thing was lighter than her fellow Ring-Bearer's, and seemed to be designed to allow quick movement while still offering protection. Overall, if anyone else from Claremont saw it, they'd be struck by the difference, as Stronghold stepped out. "I don't know why you're doing this. I don't particularly care. You're hurting people for no good reason, so stand down now and wait for the police, or I'm going to stop you." There, that went well. To the point, didn't stumble. Some of that practice during the holidays had paid off.
  18. Um. Yeah, I can see the plane... I'd be honored to assist, Mr. Atom, but, ah.. I'm not going to be able to pace the plane for that long. I'm not a very quick flier. Still, I'll do what I can! She thought for a moment, before deciding to ask the obvious question. Sorry, but if we think there's going to be an attempted prison-break... transport-break... would it be a good idea to send a warning to the people on the plane? Even if we interfere... Concern rippled across the telepathic link. It'd be a nightmare. Non-powered passengers who couldn't fly themselves is just the start, and even the prisoners on that plane don't deserve a death like that. If this does go bad, I'll probably do a lot of safety-net duty, okay?
  19. Do you want to start the thread up, since it's your character being introed?
  20. We could always do a 'meeting the new roomie' thread.
  21. Haukea's mouth opened a bit at the mental tour. Okay, that... might have been a violations of some sort, and she was definitely a bit nervous about the possibility of... rummaging. But still. That was impressive. And in some ways, it was a lot like Claremont, except more open, and... less comforting. Blinking for a moment, she spoke up. "Um... if we did want to mingle, where would most of the students be at the moment? Just to... maybe chat?" After all, just because it was a competition, it didn't mean she couldn't... try to be friendly. A hint of a blush crossed her face as Kit's... suggestions came back to her. Not thinking about that with the possibly evil psychic. There's no reason for it to happen and I'm tempting fate now aren't I.
  22. "Bwah? What?" Stronghold could still be caught off guard, somehow. Getting contacted by one of the freaking Atom Family was most definitely one of those times. After all. The Atom Family. Come on! Yes, the Freedom League was impressive, but the Atom Family's long legacy of being explorers had always... spoken to Stronghold, perhaps. Learning new things about the world. Chase Atom probably got the gist of this in reply, along with an almost fangirl squeal, before it subsided. Sorry, sorry, just... never thought I'd be contacted by a member of the Atom Family. Okay, calm down, Hau- whoops. Um. Right. Er, yes, I can hear you. Ah, it's an honor. So, uh, what did you need?
