  1. "Oh, not again-" Metal arms slipped past moving orange shields, and struck against Stronghold's costume, causing several pulses where they struck. Unlike last time, however, the protection held, and then... "Thanks, Thoughtspeed. Now..." Stronghold's eyes focused on the big drone. "Even if I can't stop you, I can can at least give everyone time to deal with your friends." The Ring shone, light forming into being in the shape of an orange box around the largest drone. Even if it did smash through the box- and it likely would- it would still be delayed. And Haukea figured a delay was all that was needed.
  2. Okey-dokey then.
  3. She's stalling! What do I need to roll?
  4. Hmmm... okay, can Stronghold throw up a wall using her Create Object powers in such a way to block the Strong drone from making an attack on its turn?
  5. RECONSTRUCTED BY THEVSHI In light of Stronghold's tendency to collect surprise attacks... Stronghold Switch out her Defensive Roll feat for Uncanny Dodge. Spend 4 PP on the Orange Ring of the Protective Builder, to bring up her Impervious Force Field to 5, and use the remaining 'point' left over from that to add a rank of Impervious to her 'natural' toughness. New build for the Orange Ring:
  6. Hero Point re-roll: 1d20+5=15 ...by the rules of Hero Point re-rolls, that's actually a 25, isn't it?
  7. Aaaand I just realised I put in the Defence modifier instead of Stronghold's Toughness modifier. That should come out to a 9, not a 6. Does it make much difference? Not really!
  8. ... Haukea rolls a 6.
  9. Stronghold's Initiative roll: (1d20+3=14)
  10. "Not happening." The Orange Ring suddenly lit up in a blaze of light as Stronghold glared at the drone. She settled into a ready position, her mind already thinking about where to place some walls to defend against the drone. -On your mark, Thoughtspeed.-
  11. "No need. I know what he looks like, I've heard recordings of his voice. Heck, I can even tell you that he never sits with his back to a wall." Vector grinned for a moment. "My memory isn't quite perfect, but it's pretty close." Then she gave the Captain a sharp look. "That said... a broadside? That seems like it has a pretty high chance of killing someone, and we don't want to do that."
  12. Ba-da-dum... Vector rolls a 20 on Knowledge (Streetwise)
  13. Haukea looked between the two, her worry increasing even more. Thoughtspeed's demonstration had been necessary, but it might get a bad reaction... The... man? Well, she didn't know what he actually was, apart from a person. Anyway, he seemed desperate, which could lead to bad news. As the Orange Ring glinted, however, she breathed in, then out, ready to start creating constructs if the man fired his gun.
  14. Stronghold 'thought' back, trusting that William- Thoughtspeed would 'hear'. -Sure, Will. You're better with people than I am, so...- The unprojected, but almost 'audible' thought of 'everyone's better with people than me' may or may not have been picked up by Thoughtspeed as Stronghold's thoughts turned to the craft, her hands raised in a similar gesture to Thoughtspeed's. The craft was certainly advanced, but... Haukea started to worry even more, given the... pilot's? Reaction. Something had definitely brought it down, this didn't look like an accident.
  15. Vector spoke up at Argonaut's question. "Could be a trap in Perth..." She sat back, thinking. "Or it's the sword. Let's see... what the immediate- argh. Immediate goals might be, and strike them off first." Catherine grimaced for a moment. "I'm not going... to be doing any more fighting tonight... I know that much. But if you give me a way to keep in contact with you, I can at least think, maybe act as mission control. Perth is hours away by any means of transport any of our 'home' heroes have, so it's just us." Her voice steadied, the pain still evident, but the heroine fighting past it. "I can collapse once the city's safe."
  16. Haukea was already on her way. Her family had been in the same general area as where the crash seemed to have actually... well, landed... and she quickly used her ring to don her costume, before starting to fly towards the crash site, thinking as she went. She hoped that some other superheroes would be there- while she could certainly keep stuff propped up once it was up, she wasn't so sure about lifting heavy debris in the first place, and that might be needed... Her next thought was spoken aloud. "What made it crash, anyway?" That was definitely a concern... after all, there was the distinct possibility that something malicious had brought the spacecraft down, in which case... This would be trickier than just a rescue operation. Stronghold picked up her pace, trying to get to the crash site as quickly as possible...
  17. Hmmm. As far as finding a picture goes... Vector doesn't have any connections there, but the Aussie Superhero Network would. Since it's not Green Ronin canon and Vector doesn't actually have any references to it on her sheet, I'm a bit cautious about just using it. Thoughts?
  18. Gah. Missed that, not sure how. XD
  19. Wait- Huh. Thoughtspeed is the only guy involved. Well, this should be interesting.
  20. "Ah. In that case... all right." Vector nodded, thinking. "True enough. While I'm... not exactly unknown, my face isn't one of those that everyone would know, so a change of clothing should be fine. Jeans and a t-shirt should do." She looked at Silvia. "I'm... not exactly familiar with this kind of thing, though. If going in some other method would work better..."
  21. I wouldn't exactly call you poms insignificant, given my family came to Australia from GB… In any case, welcome!
  22. There are, technically, multiple nations that could fit that description. So, Ireland, Cyprus, or Iceland? :P
  23. All right then, let's volunteer Stronghold. :D
  24. …I'm tempted to volunteer Stronghold, actually. Not really suited powers-wise, though…
