"Ah, right. Didn't the media suggest we were related once?" Vector looked at Inertia, frowning slightly as she stated she'd lost Michael's signal. "Is there anything that could cause that in particular? If you give us the location where it cut out, we could probably do some more investigation... and at least we have a general area." She thought for a few moments. "I think we should be able to cover Albury, at least. Although I'm not sure what exactly we'd be looking for... any ideas?" Vector directed the question to all three people present, as she looked around at them. "And we're not sure how tight a time limit we're on either..."

Catherine blinked at Caradoc's transformation- she wasn't expecting him to look so... Shiny. Possibly a disguise or something. The stolen blade was more important. "Vector. Catherine Fields. Both work, I suppose, after tonight. My costume's up in my room, I can get there and back pretty quickly." She frowned at Caradoc's words. "Everyone thought the Omega Boss was just using the symbol to look... well, tough. Bloody hell. Seems you can't be careful enough when it comes to stuff like this. We need to move quickly, I'll get changed and meet you at... which street's your van on?" Catherine looked at Argonaut for confirmation, and then she was gone, dashing upstairs to her room, where she got changed... and ran back down, jumping down the stairwell to quickly get out onto the street.

Vector blinked at the familar way the woman was referring to her parents, as if she'd known them for years. She blinked, picking up a bottle of... something... and handing it to the woman. "Um... sorry, who are you?" She'd never heard about the woman from mum or dad before. Maybe she'd just wanted privacy or something? She looked at the projection, noticing Ulysses. "He was staying with m- Opal in case those... cultists... decided to attack her as well. I mean, with her injury..." Vector bit her lip in concern. Had something happened to her mother now, as well? She walked towards the door, opening it cautiously.

"No, it's not a joke." Vector sighed as she put the phone away. "Alright, then, now-" And then, pirates. Or whatever. This night. Seriously, this night. She raised her voice, yelling back. "THE WEAPONS ARE EVIDENCE OF A CRIME! I DON'T HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO TURN THEM OVER TO ANYONE, ESPECIALLY SOMEONE WHO I HAVE NO IDEA OF!" Geez, she needed to figure out some way to call out over long distances. Maybe later. "PLEASE IDENTIFY YOURSELF, AND ON WHOSE AUTHORITY YOU'RE ACTING ON!"

<.< >.> I do feel the need to note that Vector's not the 'known only in rumors' type of hero. In any case, I'll get to posting here.

Well, I didn't know what to try and deflect the reporters to, so neither did Catherine. I imagine she generally doesn't go up in front of the press in her civilian identity anyway.

Catherine sighed as the media focused on her, before speaking up over the questions, uncomfortable at the attention. "Look, there are more important things to focus on than me. Excuse me." She turned to the others, frowning at Steve. "Because wearing a symbol isn't a crime, no matter what symbol. I'm more curious about why looking like you would be-" Several facts clicked in quick succession. "Ah. Right. That… changes things. And yeah, we need to check on the artifacts." And a memory came to the top of her mind. "Dad mentioned that Omegadrones have attacked Johns' house before, but I don't know if it was a focused attack or just a general, attacking the area thing- it happened in 93. Do either of you… know more about that?"

"Yeah, I know of him- didn't you put him in jail, Larrakite?" Catherine sighed as she saw the cameras. "Well, I didn't think this'd be kept quiet anyway..." She looked at the struggling man, and the box he'd been carrying, before looking up as Larrakite mentioned that the Omega Boss looked a bit like the other two... well, she imagined they might be superheroes themselves, although simply assuming that might be premature. "Speaking of, might want to do some introductions. I'm-" And at that moment, a reporter spoke over her. "Miss Fields, would you like to comment on the fact that you've just demonstrated superpowers similar to that of Vector?" Catherine paused, and turned. "...by which you want a 'yes, I'm Vector'." "You've got the right build, and what you were doing matches up." "How do you keep track of that, photographic memory?" She sighed. "Anyway, I'm Catherine Fields, and... yes, fine, I'm Vector."

Catherine grinned up at the leader. "Better idea, maybe. I bring him down here." With that, her foot stamped on the floor, cracks reaching out from the impact as she flew up... and smiled in the leader's face. "Hi." Her arm smashed into the side of the leader's helmet, knocking him out cold with the force- and Catherine grabbed the now-unconsious body, taking the force of the fall to avoid causing him any further injury, before she looked up at the final thug. "Like the man said. Surrender."

Haukea turned as she heard the panic, trading a glance at her sister. Kalani smiled. "No one'll notice you, go." "Stay safe, kaikua'ana." Haukea focused for a moment, her clothes seeming to shift into her costume, before she stepped out, glaring at Gene. "Or better yet, don't pick on someone at all." A solid shell of orange energy started to form around Clive as the Orange Ring of the Protective Builder shone, Stronghold glaring at him the whole way... before her jaw dropped as she saw Gene jump out of the cage, despite how rapidly it was forming. "Oh, that is not fair."

Seven five-foot cubes, which is... hmmm. Actually, it's barely enough to give him a cramped cell. Or I could just Snare him.

Hmmm. Let's see... I don't think Stronghold can completely box the guy in with her Create Object, but she can certainly leave only certain ways he can move, right? In that case, she'd try to keep him from moving towards bystanders.

Hmmm. Can Vector jump up and hit the flying guy? If not, she'll go for... C I think hasn't been hit at all. Vector will rectify that if she can't get a clear jump at the leader. She's not going to throw things with a crowd like this. Either way, Her roll to hit turns out as an 18.

Seeing the quick response of the man- who Catherine remembered from that... discussion that she'd noticed earlier, she made a quick decision. "Ah, well. Take things as they happen." Catherine reached down, ripping her dress to allow her to move her legs more easily, before looking at her dad... and then stamping on the ground, the force shaking the floor slightly- and more importantly, propelling her above the crowd and the man who'd just moved up, as well as the White Australia Brigade, before she landed behind them. Her skid stopped instantly as her motion reversed direction, and she put the full force of her momentum into a solid punch to the leader's back... Which didn't seem to get through the armor. "Oh, you've got to be kidding me..."

Re-roll! http://orokos.com/roll/169898 ...you're blowing your identity for this, Vector? *sighs*

Vector's going to do a Leap to reach one of the armored figures (the one that shot Caradoc if she can reach there safely, otherwise pick a random goon) and then punch him. Hard. http://orokos.com/roll/169897 With a result of 14, DC17 Toughness save.

Catherine shared a last hug with her mother, thanking Ulysses before exiting the train and tracking down the address- and wondering why her father would point them there. Her confusion only grew as the door opened. That said, she didn't let her confusion show, as she stepped forwards. "We're not selling anything. Michael Fields was kidnapped from the new high-speed railway, and the only clue we've got is a note in his handwriting, with this address on it. Do you have any idea what that might be about? We're fairly certain the people who took him mean to..." Vector took a breath before continuing. "Kill him. If there's anything you know, or if you know someone who can help locate him..."
