  1. "Yeah." Memorial started to throw another punch at the remaining drone in close combat with her- a punch that was deflected by the drone's own blow, one that slid off her skin. Mentally, she thanked the people who'd designed the Paladin Implants- they really were a marvel of engineering, enhancing her body so much while being almost unnoticeable. Now, she just had to use them for the purpose they were made for. "And I look forward to it, Mechanized." More than the (admittedly, rather cute) battlesuit-wearer knew. The fact that she took it as granted that there'd be a time they could do that, the fact that Emily didn't even doubt for a second that they'd win... That gave Kyla hope herself. They could win. They would win.
  2. Given how big a GMing mental block I have right now, I have no room to talk. I will get something up soonish.
  3. "Not familiar with the cultural reference, Mechanized..." As Memorial dodged, she turned her focus to the pair of drones. Just like fighting them all those years before. "You really don't change, do you. Some new tactics, but you've still got the same goals, same basic methods." She sighed. "Who were these two? Farmers, artists, scientists? And what you've done to them..." Her fist flew forwards, smashing through the head of one of the drones. "Go to the Beyond in peace, whoever you were."
  4. Let's try that again. 1d20+10=24
  5. Haruko woke up as the power went off, the Japanese girl sitting up as she yawned. "Nani goto?" She looked around, trying to figure up what had woken her up. Maybe it'd been the lightning and thunder. Or... something. Yawning, she slipped out of bed, her sleeping gown drawn around her as her feet padded on the floor and she sleepily looked out the window. Wait. Shouldn't there be some lights on? "Ah... another blackout. That is a few too many." Haruko looked at her roommate, seeing if she was awake...
  6. Stronghold winced. "Um. Chase Atom. I was having some fun flying around when he contacted me-" Stronghold tapped the side of her head, indicating how- "and told me he suspected a break-out for, uh, miss Ember." She looked around. "It, uh... Foreshadow and I went up to the plane that latched on, and it was being flown by Wildcard. He's down now, so I came down to see how I could help. Especially with that psychic cry I got from Chase Atom. I don't know exactly what's going on, but..." Haukea's gaze turned to Paige. "I'll help any way I can."
  7. Stronghold things that the Trailblazer's doing pretty well, so she's going to layer a second Snare onto the Cauliflower Monster. 1d20+10=19 Monster is Bound and Helpless if this one goes through, and the Snare gets +1 Toughness.

  9. "Tuesday would work fine. Five o'clock, got it." After the call wrapped up, Catherine set the date aside... ---- Tuesday, 1700 As the time for the meeting arrived, Catherine's car pulled up outside the restaurant. Helped out of the car and into her wheelchair by her driver, she smiled. "Thanks, Susan. I'll give you a call when it's time for a pickup, all right?" Then, she wheeled herself inside, looking around. She was wearing smart casual clothing- a shirt and pants, mostly for convenience's sake, and had a laptop case sitting on her lap. Catherine grumbled as she looked around. "Man, I'm looking forward to when I can get off this thing... so, where are they..."
  10. "It'll probably come to a boarding action one was or another, but-" Memorial turned, as the needle ships pierced through the hull, and the figured entered. "It'll be us first. My advice? Don't hold back with these things. Not one bit." She rocketed forwards, flying towards the closest, her fist flying with lethal force- which the drone managed to avoid the worst of, turning slightly so that the blow hit but glanced off the silvery metal. "Tough as I remember..." The change in her body language, her face, was obvious. Determination gave way to an almost primal fury. "Well, let's see what we can do about that!"
  11. Stronghold winced as her friend was swallowed, and winced again as she hit the pavement. Well, at least it seemed like she'd been able to hit the creature from the inside. "Whatever it is, we have to stop it before it causes more damage. Rampart, I think the best thing to do would be to get on top of it, then just keep hitting until it's down, okay?" Thinking, she studied the creature. "I'll see if I can't attract its attention..." As the Orange Ring started glowing, she formed a spear of orange energy. It wasn't ideal, it certainly wasn't the primary purpose of the Ring, but it did in a pinch- and it looked like they'd have to keep hitting this thing to get another bind to work properly. "Okay, go!" With a thought, the spear sped forwards, slamming against the front of the protean beast...
  12. Indeed it has. Memorial will rush forwards and try and punch one of the Communion Drones through the head! 1d20+5=15 Using an HP to reroll that. 1d20+4=14, add 10 to make that 24

    All in hand

Haukea paused as she heard a noise outside. "Hey, dad, just going outside to check something, okay?" As she walked outside, she checked the Orange Ring, feeling its power- it sounded almost like a gun of some sort had been fired, and... she was aware of dad's job. It wasn't exactly safe, and it was entirely possible that someone had come to try and attack them. Especially... As she opened the door, she caught a glimpse of what was outside. An armor-wearing something, facing off against what looked like an AEGIS Agent. That settled it. Haukea glowed softly as her clothes morphed into her costume, plates of orange armor appearing over the bodysuit, before she finished opening the door. "That's enough." She focused, and bands of orange energy snapped around the armored figure, binding her. "Are you all right, officer?"
  14. And Stronghold makes a Reflex save of 27!
  15. Stronghold's having a case of not realising who's the good guy and who's the bad guy here, and therefore tries to Snare Argonaut. 1d20+10=27, DC20 Reflex Save for Argonaut.
  16. 1PP=4 Skill Ranks. With the bonus for each skill being Skill Rank+Ability Bonus. So, if someone has a +4 Int bonus and they have Knowledge (Popular Culture) at 10, then they roll 1d20+14 for any Knowledge (Popular Culture) checks.
  17. As the cauliflower monster- and oh god she was actually saying that- swung at her, Stronghold blinked, before she nimbly ducked under the blow, shaking her head. "You know, the dedication to a theme's something I can admire, sure, but there is such a thing as going too far, you know." Maybe she should have brought a hamburger. Eat it right in front of these idiots. She'd missed lunch, after all. "Aaaaanyway... let's deal with this thing." The Orange Ring shone brightly as orange band of energy snapped around the cauliflower monster, although it managed to dodge a couple, leaving it hindered but not completely restrained. Haukea shrugged. "Eh, it'll still help."
  18. Stronghold's going to try locking down the Big Monster first, with a Bind. 1d20+10=19
  19. Feats is a 1:1 feat per point. Skill is 1 pp for 4 skill points.
  20. Memorial growled in frustration, turning her attention to the sword-wielding pirates who were going after her. "That is ENOUGH!" As her voice raised into a shout, she grabbed hold of one of the pair, energy diverting back into her strength enhancers as she picked him up... and threw him into the closest wall, hard enough to leave a dent. Certainly hard enough to knock the pirate out, as she continued. "We are wasting time here, there are bigger threats that could be coming-" She snapped her head towards the loudspeakers as Corona spoke, before she sighed. "Right now." After quickly translating Corona's message for Mechanized, Memorial sighed. "All right. We'll meet you there. Good luck. We'll need it." She took a deep breath, then set down on the deck, before starting to walk to the nearest airlock.
  21. Well, Memorial will turn her attention to the pirates actually attacking her... And since punching hasn't been working, let's use her Super-Strength. Memorial is switching back to her Strength enhancement, and will try to grab, grapple, and throw one of the sword-wielding guys into a wall! Possibly through a wall, but she'll try not to chuck him into space. Hit result of 17, grapple result of 27! Which might still miss. But oh well.
  22. Haukea had been having a quiet day, too. Just hanging out with a friend, when suddenly, a... What was that thing, anyway? It didn't seem like any sort of creature that Haukea had ever seen. Although it didn't really look like anything, really, or rather her brain was having trouble deciding what it looked like. Almost gave her a headache. No matter. It was rampaging, they were there, so they needed to take it down. She considered how for a moment, before hitting on an idea. "Rampart! I'll try to bind it. If that doesn't work- or if I look like I'm having trouble with keeping the bind up- you need to give it a few blows while I keep it down. Okay?" Focusing, the Orange Ring shone brightly, its magic responding to her mind as she formed orange bands of energy, trying to close them around the creature's limb and hold it firm...
