...oh. Whoops, good point. Rolling Diplomacy.

Vector grimaced for a moment, her power switching from helping her avoid blows to deflecting the blows themselves. She glared at the central man for a minute, before dashing forwards, moving faster than any unpowered human possibly could. The ribbons parted over her skin- causing a brief hiss of pain from Vector- before her fist slammed into the stomach of the man who had fired the weapon at her. Even though she held back a little, the solid blow, enhanced by her powers, still caused the thug to groan and roll to the ground, knocked out. The other two men looked at each other... then quickly surrendered. The heroine breathed a sigh of relief, then quickly called the police, alerting them to the weapons smuggling. That done, she looked at the two thugs still present and consious and smiled. "Look, the police are on their way now. Can you two tell me what, exactly, was going on? What these weapons are, where they come from... I can put in a good word for the two of you if you cooperate."

Vector will be moving forwards using her Speed, and trying to take out the guy with... whatever that Device was. Attack Roll Meanwhile, she's taking a free action to shunt her Defensive Array all the way into Toughness.

Ah, thanks, that answers the question I was about to ask.

Vector- Catherine Fields- pulled off her mask as she knelt down besides her mother. Maybe stupid... but she'd already given it away to the other two superheroes. "I don't know. I mean... Dad's an industrialist, he's always pushed cutting-edge technology. Some of the suits you see police forces using against supervillains, this train... he plays fair, but I suppose there could still be any number of people who don't like him for one reason or another- heck, he's a strong supporter of superheroes, so that could piss people off. Though... it sounds like they were after him just for the 'cutting-edge technology' bit." Catherine scowled, then she looked up at the Silver Magus. "We're going to take them down before they hurt him. I don't suppose either of you have tracking powers or anything?"

And Stronghold touched down on the ground, noting Fast-Forward and... another hero she didn't recognise. Someone new, perhaps? In any case, she turned to Cobalt Templar. "Sorry I didn't answer my phone, I was in a different room when the call came in." She listened to Temperance talking about the creature, before she spoke up. "Um... well, maybe Medea is controlling it? She's a powerful sorcress, after all..." The young woman looked around. "Um. I caught what you were saying, Templar... well, we're trying to restore Tonya, aren't we? And bring Unferth and Medea to justice." Thinking, she suddenly looked up. "...if we don't have any other leads... thinking about it, I'm in the age range of the victims so far, aren't I?"

Vector frowned at the man, before her eyes widened behind her mask. "Oh, god. Four. There are four of them." She turned to the Silver Magus, fear on her face, speaking in her shock and realisation, barely audible to the armored sorcerer. "Oh god. The last one's going after dad." Then she was gone, running at top speed back towards the train. I knew they were after him and I left him unprotected... stupid, stupid, stupid. Vector practically lept back into the train, running along the carriages back to where her mum and dad were... hoping they were okay. That her mistake hadn't just cost her dearly.

Vector laughed at the comment about Awesome Man as she shook Asad's offered hand. "I can see why it wouldn't do so well... even if from what I hear it certainly fits. It's nice to meet you a- nice to meet you, Asad. My own name's... well, I was thinking over stuff, decided to make a power reference." She shrugged. "And it's a pleasure to meet you, Solar Sentinel. And I know what you mean about needing to meet more people in the hero community. I know some people, but again... mostly people down in Australia. I think I've only worked with Gaian Knight and Fleur out of the people here... haven't done much superhero work in Freedom so far. I'd be one of the heroes, myself, while Asad here falls under both categories."

"Saviors don't try to murder people. Especially not people who're trying to help others." Vector strode over towards the final hooded man, stopping in front of him. Her fist clenched for a moment, as if she were about to hit the hooded man who had threatened her dad, before she let out a breath and her hand relaxed. "Congratulations, you've actually managed to get me bloody angry. Not many people manage that right off, yay for you." She leaned forwards, and glared at him. "If you're so confident, you three must not have been the only ones. What else are you planning?"

Vector might have a certain amout of success with Diplomacy... but she's in no mood for that. Burning 1 hero point to exploit Beginner's luck and gain a temporary Intimidate bonus of 9... Then proceed to roll a 1 on the roll.

Vector noticed Asad pacing, and tilted her head for a moment, before walking towards him. She spoke up once she reached him, smiling. "Amir Al-Misiri. Or... Asad, wasn't it? Sorry, I think of your 'real name' more than I do of you superhero name. I'm Vector." Wait, why had she opened with that... argh. "You... probably haven't heard of me, I've mostly been working in Sydney. Not used to the weather here. Anyway, you're looking a bit lonely, so I thought I'd come and chat. Believe me, I know how boring finances can be."

Vector noted that the leader cast a... spell... at the armored man. Oh, great. Science vs. Magic was really, really old if that's what this was about. She certainly wasn't going to lose her dad to it. Of course, his aim really, really sucked. If that was all, this was going to be easy. Of course, the heroine had the feeling that these three weren't all there was. In the meantime, however... She lept off the ground, her arc easily carrying her up to the level of the three riders... before her fist slammed against the closest flunky, with much more force than would be expected from the small woman. The punch pushed him off his horse, and Vector caught him on the way down- she was furious at these men, but she was better than them. Vector placed the unconsious man down on the ground, before turning to face the others, her expression firm. "You're getting no one."
