  1. Ranger Station 5 Tsavo National Park, Kenya 27th January 2020, 9am EAT It was rainy and overcast over the Savannah but it was still going to be a hot, humid day. As the animals and tourists began there days. Most of the Ranger Stations, that were being used, were still opening up but not Station Five which was active even this early in the day. Which was weird because it wasn’t usually used for the reason that trouble very rarely came from the border it was close to, probably one of the safest borders in the entire region. This was the reason that Chief Ranger was nervous because someone very import from that very country had arrived, to help them with there problem. “I’ve never met a real princess before!”
  2. GM April 4th Rapa Nui, W.E.S.T Headquarters A light rain had greeted Dr North as the WEST plane landed. He was not in a good mood, and the tepid precipitation suited. Now he was in the reinforced WEST headquarters on Rapa Nui, affectionately known as EAST. There was the usual reports of threats across the globe on his desk. Most of these didn't pan out to anything serious, or needed only further management by the other local or world authorities. An Ebola outbreak in Africa. A mutated Crocodile in New Orleans. Metaphasic radiation in Freedom City. The normal. The major problem was the reappearance of Doctor Archeville. And the threat he may or may not pose. To Doctor Norris North's educated mind, Doctor Archeville was a net neutral. He could solve as many problems as he created. He could save as many lives as he created. He harboured no particular distrust of the man or the personality, or any particular warmth either. It was a situation that should be managed, and by his estimation that meant diplomacy and investigation. That meant W.E.S.T. The world was most keen for W.E.S.T. to keep a heavy eye on Doctor Archeville and his experiments. They wanted, as normal, the impossible. All he could do was meet them halfway. He felt, like normal, that he was playing an impossible game of chess with mysterious new pieces. In any case, he had requested Doctor Archeville meet him at EAST. He would have to size up the risks and benefits of the man. He hoped very very much it would be less of the former, more of the latter... But if there was a hazard, he was prepared. And he had asked Delta to be on site. In case they needed some heavy blasters...
  3. ... All be aware that a special transdimensional craft, the Seeker of Perpetual Harmony [Image Enclosed] is active in the Sol system. A reward is offered for any data people can collect on the vehicle, especially if it can be convinced to return to the station. The vehicle isn’t dangerous but is single-minded in its mission across the dimensions... Praetorian Bulletin, CoVic Station Liberty Park, Freedom City, United States, Sol III System 09:00 EST 3rd January 2019 To those on the planet itself knew nothing of this craft, for all they knew it was a strange silver craft shaped vaguely like a Horseshoe Crab. Even though it was a new year it was more or less business as usual with the craft hovering just above the ground in Liberty Park. Apparently, it was waiting patiently for people to turn up to investigate its sudden arrival in this local. Not that it had to wait long in a city of heroes...

GM Freedom League Special Circumstances Housing Sunday 2nd December Delta had a visitor. Unusual on a Sunday, especially this close to the Yuletide celebrations. But a visitor nonetheless. "Lulu LaWelle" said the woman, who must have been around fourty, with short cropped jet black hair and a clever twist to her lips. She had an olive skin giving her uncertain herritage, but had a clear but eloquent French accent. "I'm an agent of WEST. World Esoteric Science Taskforce. United Nations" she explained, holding up a hand held scanner that looked like it had been built ten years or more in the future given its shiny cutting edge appearance. "I'm sorry to bother you. But we have been getting some strange readings in Freedom City and...well...had to check them out....I hope you don't mind? Perhaps answer a few questions?" she asked politely. "And Merry Christmas!" she added, in a friendly tone.
  5. 23:00, 5th November 2018 Southside, Freedom City Humanity had a great capacity to recover from almost anything, and that included their capacity to hate. Only a few months after the city had almost been obliterated by an invasion force already the various gangs of the Southside had already started fighting amongst each other. Even worse a few of the devices from the invasion had leaked onto the black market, including once such device that according to good intelligence was going to be sold this very night in a warehouse in more run down part of the area.
  6. Fall 2018 Archetech When the self-driving car from Archetech arrived, there was an Omegadrone inside it, sitting in the rear passenger compartment. Steve looked up at Delta, his scarred face hard to read through cybernetic enhancements designed to give tactical feedback rather than the finer points of humanoid facial expression. "Delta. Miss Americana felt you would want company." It was his first chance to meet the woman who had been described as the leading expert in Terminus technology on this plane - the greatest who was not mad, anyway. The Omegadrone's voice was grave and deep; an impossible thing given the cold, emotionless horrors that were Omegadrones but one Delta had heard already. After all, the Omegadrone had been among those who'd met him in this new realm and had asked him questions about a realm both of them knew only too well - questions about dread Nihilor. "I have secured a collection of Earth-Prime music and educational recordings for the drive. It is short but you may find them productive. How are your studies progressing?"
  7. Freedom City, Southside, 10:22 p.m. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour... ~ Peter 5:8 ____________________ Agnes was in for another cold night. Freedom City wasn't in the deep of winter yet, but it was getting there, and this icy, frigid drizzle from a dark and cloudy sky certainly didn't help. A sharp squall tugs at her red hoodie and burrows inside, stinging her skin as the wind whistles past the support columns of the overpass under which she had currently made residence. A few discarded beer bottles clink as they shudder against each other, as if also cold, and empty plastic bags and trash flutter past like modern tumbleweed. Above her, the sounds of rushing automobiles on the highway play an unappealing but strangely relaxing lullaby. Still, it wasn't all bad. Agnes had managed to scrounge up a half-decent meal and an unopened bottle of water. With no one around to bother her, Agnes is about to dig in. Then a loud KA-THUNK! KA-THUNK! sounds as a truck rolls over a pothole above, and Agnes is sent into a terrible place within her own head, past memories flooding back. They are so visceral, so real, that Agnes forgets where she is, that she is even Agnes. In the middle of it all, she hears the voice of a girl, not within her mind, but with her own ears, almost washed out by the noise of the cars. The girl screams once for help before the echoes fade away and Anges drifts into nightmares... Agnes wakes up as suddenly as she had passed out. She feels like only a few minutes had passed, but at the same time she is worn out as if she had been out cold for hours. This hadn't been a normal flashback. It felt as if something had pulled her into it, forcibly and violently. She could feel someone or something tugging at the deep recesses of her mind. That force is gone now, but it had still been chilling, and there is no telling who or what had caused it or if it would be back. One thing is certain, however... Agnes had heard a cry for help, from the overpass above. It hadn't been a nightmare, she had heard it with her own ears... ____________________ Delta's eyes were going haywire again. It wasn't the first time. Every now and again the machines within his body did something involuntary, sometimes without his knowledge that they could even do that. However, his eyes hacking into camera feeds are... well, not common, but it certainly isn't all that surprising. Sometimes, Delta just had to wait it out, and let the system restore itself. His eyes flicker from feed to feed, First a security camera from a bakery, patrolling an empty, locked up store front. Next, a cell phone being used to film a boy's twelfth birthday, just as the kid moves to blow out the candles... Third, the dashboard camera of a police cruiser, staring out of a cracked windshield as two men hustle another person with a bag over their head into the back of an electrical repair truck... What? Delta's eyes flick to a new feed, and he wrestles with his internal systems, trying to get back to the last camera. He eventually manages it, but only just as the electrical van is driving away. Delta can't catch the licence plate... but now that the vehicle has moved he can see a street sign in the distance. Abercorne Lane... a small street off the beaten path in Southside, about ten to fifteen blocks from the boardwalk. It is hard to get one's baring from one angle of a camera they've never seen before... but Delta thinks they are heading north, toward the highway. Maybe he can make it if he rushes. ____________________ The hero business takes on a different flavor when you are a genius. Terrifica has no need to monitor police scanners or internet rumor sites or even the daily news. Parsing through incredible amounts of data... that's what computers are for. Besides, Terrifica isn't some common thug who gets her kicks by going out at night and beating up common thieves who could barely tie their own shoes. In most cases, a simple tip to the nearest police precinct is enough to get those kinds of hooligans caught. As such, much of Terrifica's job as a hero can be automated, leaving her plenty of time to be Samantha Carson. But not tonight. Tonight, there is... an anomaly. Obviously, sometimes Terrifica needs to be alerted about specific circumstances. Her phone buzzes, and she is greeted by camera footage that her computer had been monitoring. It is the vision of the dashboard camera of a police cruiser, its window cracked, and no officer in sight. Meanwhile, a pair of masked men hustle a small figure out with a bag over her head, throwing her into the back of an electrical van. On its own, this may not warrant further investigation from Terrifica... but that isn't all. The reason the computer had tipped her off is that someone had hacked her. Her. Terrifica's firewalls are legendary, and yet... apparently not bullet-proof. But the hacker hadn't been flawless in his intrusion. He had left a trace. And now... Now Terrifica could follow his every movement. ____________________ Lulu sits in her empty dorm room in Claremont. It is Thanksgiving break, and a large swathe of students have left campus to visit friends and family... not Lulu, though. Instead, she stays in her room, keeping to her own devices. No distraction keeps her from missing Bobby, however. The entire day, she had had a wriggling feeling in the back of her mind, some creeping anxiousness. It felt almost like her powers warning her of some unseen threat, but too weak. Too subtle. Perhaps it was simply plain old, run of the mill nerves? Such a thought is dashed as a powerful vision - accompanied by a wave of nausea - washes over Louise. In her mind she sees a dark-skinned girl with curly hair and a red hoodie hunched over with her hands clutching at the sides of her head as a cry for help sounds out. For a moment, the vision lingers, before thrusting Lulu forward into the tortured nightmares of the girl. Most of it is incomprehensible flashes, but it is far from pleasant. Suddenly, it all stops. Lulu is inside a darkened, derelict building. From the IVs and discarded wheelchairs, it appears to be an abandoned hospital. All of the lights are off, and curiously, there are no windows, the only light given off by occasionally flickering exit signs. Louise can only see a few feet in front of her - as her eyes are somehow already adjusted the darkness - before near-pitch black shadow envelopes the distance. As she stand at the junction of two crisscrossing corridors, Lulu senses something terrible about this place, beyond its creepy atmosphere. Stains mark the cinder block walls, but without color, Lulu cannot confirm what kind... she can make a decent guess, though. Any attempt to peer into the dark void is disorienting, as if the hallways and corridors are twisting and swaying gently, threatening her with unseen horrors to force her to look away. The vision ends abruptly, just as it had started. Lulu is left watching over the girl she had seen earlier, who appears to have passed out. She is now in control of her own ESP, and can more accurately study her surroundings, that being a highway overpass. Bright neon lights in the distance mark casinos and gaudy nightlife, the signature sign of Freedom City's Southside district. She isn't that far away, not by bus or car. She isn't too to try telepathy on the girl, either... although there is no telling when she will wake up.
  8. Freedom Aquarium - 9:00 a.m., Tuesday It is a fine day on the Waterfront. Bright, sunny, and with just a hint of fluffy clouds in a warm blue sky, it was a safe day to leave the umbrella at home. A crowd unusual for a weekday mills about around the shops and ice cream stands, taking advantage of the cool - yet pleasant, for this time of year - weather. Many of these people are already lined up outside the Freedom Aquarium minutes before opening, eager to see a brand new exhibit featuring rare and deep sea specimens from the coasts of Japan and Korea. Most of the fish to be on display have never been featured alive for the general populace before, and a few are new species only discovered some months ago. The ticket booths are already running, trying to get ahead of the forming crowd of eager locals and tourists alike, and failing. As the front doors open a cheer ripples through the crowd, and the line drips forward slowly by steadily. Meanwhile, a few school buses pull into the parking lot nearby, all carrying schoolkids on a unique field trip and their just-as-excited chaperones. As people filter into the aquarium, some make a bee-line straight to the new exhibit, while some meander through the older exhibits, patient to save the best for last. A dark interior of gently winding hallways and dim lamps weave through massive glass cases filled with millions of pounds of water and entire ecosystems of exotic fish and other aquatic flora and fauna. A low hum of banter intertwined with the occasional screech of a small child rises to fill the air, and smartly dressed tour guides enthusiastically start to lead throngs of patrons through the corridors, facts and trivia falling from their lips to land on the ears of an enthralled crowd. Then, starting from the front, and slowly inching its way back all the way out the front doors, travelling past the ticket booths and even into the parking lot, haunting and hushed whispers wash over the atmosphere. Rumors of something gone wrong spread, hands cover mouths, and eyes go wide in confusion and concern. From the newly opened exhibit, several adults retreat, one ushering out two small, confused and irate children. Shortly after, employees close off the new exhibit, its grand opening lasting less than a few minutes. One tells another to call the police not quite quietly enough to avoid a few patrons from overhearing. The whispers ripple through the crowd again, rumors that the tanks featured no fish, no living things... nothing but blood-red water. __________________________________________ Forever Boy If it weren't for his physical build, Pan might have just fit in with the school kids. The Aquarium wasn't much, but on some of the more boring days, you take all the adventure you can get, even the small ones. Besides, sometimes one just needs to relax a little. Never-before-seen fish? Having been on Earth as long as he has, Pan knows that they either won't be half as strange as some of the creatures from Neverworld, or they will be incredible, horrifying monstrosities he could never have dreamed of. Slipping through the crowd to the front, however, the trickster is met with something truly unexpected... no fish at all. In fact, all he can see before employees begin trying to usher him and the others out of the exhibit are a lot of empty tanks with red water in them... save for one tank. In this one tank remains a lone fish. It is small and slight, barely as long as his hand, and its scales glimmer all the colors of the rainbow, and shinier than pixie dust. __________________________________________ Queenie Being an "unmasked" hero has its perks, although Maybelle may not enjoy all of them. She didn't arrive early like some folks, but as soon as a few people recognized her, the crowds parted like the Biblical Red Sea. Locals pulled out cell phones and began snapping photos and taking videos, some folks asked for an autograph. Maybe it was just because when she was cooking, she didn't have much time - or perhaps patience - to deal with autographs. Maybe it was just a novelty to see her outside of the diner. Either way, right now, she is being treated like a celebrity, and shuffled up to the front of the lines. Not that all that did much in the end. All it meant was Maybelle was one of the first to see the new exhibit close down. Two steps inside and all she sees are tanks filled with red... and it doesn't take an expert chef whose fillet thousands of fish to guess what kind of red it is. Only one critter remains... a small, slight dartfish, its body barely as long as her hand, but glimmering like a rainbow. __________________________________________ Delta What a day to pick a clandestine meeting. Delta had been expecting a small crowd... someplace public, sure. But this... this was ridiculous. How was he supposed to blend in? Was his "anonymous informant" having a laugh? It seemed like a lot of trouble to drop coded messages and spend days picking a time and place to meet just to play a stupid prank. Still, his informant was nowhere in sight. Perhaps it had been foolish of Delta to trust a man (or maybe a woman. Delta didn't even know that much!) whose only claim was "I know someone who can tell you more about your past." As the minutes pass, the threat of a trap grows ever more ominous, but that trap never springs. However, a wave of unrest ripples through the crowds of people. Something about the new exhibit... something about everything being dead. A glance over his shoulder reveals what all the other glances have revealed: nothing. No informant. So far, Delta's only lead - if there even was one to begin with - lies with what has happened here at the Aquarium. After all... it might not be a coincidence that he just happened to be lured here at the precise time to witness all this unfold. __________________________________________ Bee Melissa is one of the first in line for the aquarium. Most people were here to see pretty fish. However, unlike most, Melissa is just as interested in the science behind it. The only reason half of the new specimens were on display was because of some fascinating technology. First, deep sea submersibles with the capability of capturing specimens had to be built and installed with a pressure chamber. Without the chamber, any organism from too deep would die from the journey up to the surface, as their internal body pressure became too great for the atmosphere around it. Next, those chambers had to be transported and seamlessly emptied into equally pressurized tanks, the very same tanks the Aquarium had spent millions installing. Through a very careful process and a series of airlocks, the specimens were introduced into their new homes here in Freedom City. Finally, to maintain the ecosystem in the tanks, automated maintenance robots were installed to monitor and clean the tanks as needed. After all, the less need to open the tanks or introduce a human element, the less risk of human error, or mechanical failure resulting in the untimely death of the new residents. All of that effort seemed to be wasted, as Melissa found out as she reached the exhibit. Nothing remains, save for the dark red tendril stains slowly diffusing and mixing with the water.
  9. Delta Power Level:10 [11] (153/165PP) Unspent Power Points: 12 Trade-Offs: +0 Attack / +0 Damage, -5 Defense / +5 Toughness In Brief: Telepathic Cyber soldier from the Terminus trying to hide from his squad and the man who made him. Catchphrase: "No it's not Halloween, those are my eyes." Alternate Identity: Unknown Birthplace: The Terminus Residence: Freedom League Lodgings Base of Operations: Freedom City Occupation: Cybersoldier Affiliations: Freedom League Family: Alpha, Beta, Charlie and Echo - the squad that is hunting him down still mind control by Dr. Düster. Description: Age: 10 years of memories since awakening Apparent Age: 28 Gender: Male Ethnicity: Terminus Height: 6ft Weight: 300lbs Eyes: Large Bulbous mechanical looking Cyber eyes both seem to 'wrap' around his head to the back with cables connecting the eyes the base of his skull where the Cyberarms start. Hair: None Dark brown skin covers what would normally be a pretty well muscled frame, but is contrasted against by black and red metal that seems to cover large swathes of Delta's body. He is clearly an ungodly amalgam of man and machine and no amount of politeness could pretend otherwise. Large bug like cybernetics have replaced his eyes, they have overlapping plates that wrap around his head covering the base of his skull and running down his neck where they join more plates running up from the cybernetic shoulders, arms and glowing power plant that is in the center of where his shoulder blades would normally be. The metal itself is a strange ore from deep in the terminus that is normally pitch black, but some parts are picked out in red and the power plant is a raised disc that glows cherry red when he uses his arm cannons. The lip of the disc is raised a further inch from his back in what must be some kind of heat dispersal. The plates themselves slide and move allowing tools and weapons to slide out of them. The base of his skull has further raised parts that whir and hum like a large DVD player when he is using the various computer parts installed there. Covering the rest of his body there are signs of more implants in his legs, arms and face, but most of that is covered by an obviously armored suit that has a number of collapsible gadgets hanging from the belt and pouches on the light jacket covering his chest and on the pants and shoulders. The clothing is camo greens and browns but is not manufactured from this present time seeming to have no seam and offers much more protection than normal. History: Delta's memories started ten years ago, when he woke on a surgery table his body 18 years old, his mind almost a total blank and a face he would become very familiar with looking over him asking if he was alright. It was Dr. Düster, the surgeon who had decided that after the last defeat at the hands of super heroes that they didn't need more soldiers, they need an infiltration squad to take down super heroes, their families and surgical strikes contested by super heroes. So he was putting together, he hand picked Terminus residents, prisoners, soldiers and mercenaries from around Lord Omega's realm. Then he got to work, he created five of them and named them like a scientist creating soldiers would. Alpha, Beta, Charlie, Delta and Echo. First he removed most of their personal memories, most of their personality, treated them with genetic treatments, implanted computers and mind control chips in their heads and equipped them for infiltration, military action and then he added more cybernetics. That was when Delta woke up and started training, his MO was the Engineer, computer expert and flanker. Simulations gave way to live fire and then strikes with in the Terminus all part of the training. About four years in something went wrong and an enemy got behind Delta and did severe damage enough to require the amputation of both of his arms and major rebuilding of the back of his skull but that didn't slow down Düster down he simply found a rare metal local to the are that would work, a few interesting materials and he put together a set of arms that made Delta even more flexible...but the materials interacted with Delta's genetic mutations and developed one of their own. It started slowly but Delta became aware, first that the mind chip was still delivering commands but that he could not ignore them as he developed more and more self control and then it got weird things started closing the last inch to his hand with out any outside source of movement he started finishing peoples sentences, people he had just met. He kept it hidden it as best he could, having four mind controlled squad mates helped as they did little more than follow orders. Another 3 years of free will went by, Delta helped the people he could but deep in Terminus territory he had no where to go. Finally the strike on Earth and Freedom city, Delta waited till they were through the portal on a strike mission and he ran for it. His target the same as his brothers, a freedom league outpost, he got there first warned them what was coming and earned himself the amnesty, and a place he could call his own and not have anyone in his head...but he started developing the ability to put commands in peoples head as well and he is starting to fear he is becoming the things he fears. Personality & Motivation: Delta has limited memories to draw on, but most of them are of the blasted lands of the Terminus, he will do whatever it takes to stay on Earth. He will fight whoever he needs to if it means friendly relationships with the powers that be on Earth. Delta is motivated primarily by the search for freedom and for freedom for his 'brothers' he wants to free the rest of his team and in the end the rest of the Terminus. A grand dream but he has so little else to hold on to, a normal life is not for him, he looks like something out of a horror movie and knows it, he longs for a normal life and wonders about who he was before he was captured. The last decade holds nothing but war, fighting and training and so Delta tends to react more strongly in many circumstances than he should logic and tactics rule his thinking and he is continuously suspicious of other peoples motives and even more so of his growing powers. He inherently respects other peoples freedom and will react with more force than needed to the sight of those oppressed, enslaved or otherwise helpless as he feels a strong bond with them. Powers & Tactics: Although Delta has the power to take on many more powerful foes head on his preference is stealth, misdirection and striking from a position of knowledge and power. He likes to plan, he likes to scout out what he is about to face and then he likes to strike like a bolt of lightening from an unexpected direction. Between his ability to teleport, send out scout robots and hack computers from a distance he typically dissects a situation very thoroughly before he jumps in but his abilities and power often allows him to do that in a very short space of time. Power Descriptions: The obvious things are his massive cyber arms, cyber eyes and the modifications made to his skull, all black metal, spikes and red edges the large disk shaped power source on his back glows red when he is exerting his strength or firing his arm cannon. The flexible black metal on his arms slides and shapes itself to allow blades, spikes and blunt edges to form allowing him to strike with any kind of surface he would like, his telekinetic short range abilities have manifested with extreme precision allowing him to mimic many of the weapons hidden in his arms with telekinetic blows of varying degrees of 'sharpness' within about a 10' radius those of course are all but invisible but for their effects. When ranged combat is needed his hand retracts exposing a massive cannon that runs the length of his forearm and allows him to shoot bolts of bright scarlet energy with extreme precision. His less precise long range telekinesis allows him to lift great weights, even pinning people in place without any obvious source other than the pulsing of the disc shaped power source on his back. More dangerous than his weapons is the computer assembly and the telepathic powers that are crammed into his skull. His cyber eyes look like something of a cross between a camera lens with a large visible shutter and the front end of binoculars when fully exposed. Various antenna extend from the black cybernetics mounted in his skull as he access computers or communicates over long distances. When he is in full processing modes small red LED's flash along the sides and back of his skull as he uses more power than normal to have the computer fully focused on what he is doing, colorful overlays giving him instructions are visible in front of him as he activates the skill chips in his processing core and when he uses his telepathic powers small arc of electricity leap from implant to implant...usually larger arcs mean something went wrong. His armor contains a belt that teleports him in a flash of light, a cloaking device strapped to the center of his chest that looks like a black donut about the size of his palm with multiple electric blue overlays that flash before he vanishes in a shimmer. Several black and gold tubes of nanite activators hang from his belt to activate the nanites in his body as well as several cyber implants repairing damage to flesh and machine. In a small pouch he has four orbs that expand into scouting robots that cloak themselves and fly around scanning the area around him feeding information about what they see and hear directly into his mind leaving him vulnerable to attacks on the drones. Finally a strangely shaped square strapped to his back expands out to a hover board allowing him to fly at great speeds, the board itself is controlled by some of the mechanics in his headware and can be recalled to catch him if he is knocked off, it has red jets beneath it to keep it up and the same at the back to drive it forward. Finally in combat he can call up an almost transparent yellowish field of telekinetic energy that protects him from most small arms and close combat weapons, but it has been known to overload with too much damage causing it to implode in a rush of energy that can both blind and deafen Delta if he doesn't react quickly enough. Complications: There is only War!: Delta's only memories is training and war, he views almost all things as tactical problems that can be solved by brute strength or cunning. This is not necessarily the best thing to deal with social situation, police officers, people who want to ask questions, reporters or putt-putt courses. Frequently his reaction is overbearing, aggressive or violent when there is in fact a better way. Mad Scientist alert: Dr Düster is out there, and so are his brothers they are looking for him as is anyone else in charge of looking for soldiers/deserters from the last Terminus invasion. There may even be a price on his head for villains, bounty hunters or others who have contact with the Terminus system. It's not Halloween: Delta is not pretty, he hardly looks human and he has more machine parts than your average blender. This causes many awkward situations when he has to go through metal detectors, fancy dress parties or anything that normally requires you not to look like something out of a Terminator/Alien mash up. He makes children cry, raises fear in the locals he's come to rescue and has a hard time getting into places where weapons are not welcome. Lobotomy: Large portions of Delta's brain was removed in the operations that made him what he is most of those had to do with his memories from his past, others were to do with his personality and compliance. This sometimes manifests, even though he has redeveloped much of his capabilities through his psionic power, in him having phantom memories of his past, not catching jokes/innuendo or subtle body language, following instructions that he shouldn't and taking things extremely literally...a problem in a society where comments like 'well just shoot me', 'let it burn' and 'squash them like a bug' are a somewhat regular occurrence. Not the eyes!: Delta's eyes have been completely replaced by his cybernetics, cybernetics made from the same material that seems to have interacted with his genetic changes to spark his psionic powers. The problem is they are still machines, they tend to get swirly around strong magnets, turn off altogether if they get hit with a certain frequency or jarred in a certain way. All kinds of failures occur from time to time, usually when it's least convenient from something as innocuous as switching colors, getting focused on something they shouldn't be so everything else is blurry up to glowing red for no apparent reason or...on occasion...shooting out some kind of beam that may or may not melt whatever he was looking at. Dr Düster made many modifications to his eyes and he is only scratching the surface of what they can do. I have a machine in me: As with his eyes there are many, many implants in Delta and a swarm of nanites occupy his blood building molecular level implants around his body even now. It is unclear whether it is some kind of high speed evolution but it means there is always something going on inside of him and that there are a number of implants that have abilites he is not aware of. This can manifest positively in unexpected beneficial powers but also in things happening around him that he doesn't expect. Cars stop working as he walks past, all the electronics in a room reset and send all their information to him, his thoughts manifesting on screens around him. His eye view showing up on the mall security screens miles away from where he is, most of the time he is very much in control but every now and again something he doesn't expect happens...
