Supercape Posted August 17, 2018 Author Posted August 17, 2018 @Avenger Assembled @Exaccus @Tiffany Korta This one was a bit of a tough call to make, and having slept on it, I have editted the IC to better suit Morgen's reponse in keeping with her character and the situation. I hope that is ok. One note however, Morgen was designed before I knew about this thread (she is from an old one). As designed, it will be fairly hard for Comrade Frost to win (although far from impossible), due to the rock-paper-scissors nature of superheroes. For me, that makes an interesting thread, but that does mean that there is a high chance of getting defeated here. If thats an issue, let me know.
Avenger Assembled Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Hmm, I assumed Comrade Frost's friends were going to help him with this one and that they were maybe going to take on the Duke and Sin rather than Morgen herself, hmm. What do you guys think?
Avenger Assembled Posted August 18, 2018 Posted August 18, 2018 Though if they take Sin and the Duke into custody while Frost is getting beaten up, that wouldn't be so bad!
Exaccus Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Im down to play smash and grab with sin and duke
Tiffany Korta Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Being a born warrior and all Klara wouldn't want to let Dimitri do the fighting, after all she knows she's the better fighter!
Supercape Posted August 19, 2018 Author Posted August 19, 2018 (edited) Ok, so are we talking about Frost and Morgen slugging out whilst simultaneously Dreadnought and Voin attacking Sin and the Duke? Bear in mind that neither Sin or Duke are making any attempt at violence at the moment, so it will be you taking the first strike! You may wish to consider whether the Duke as actually committed any provable crimes other than collaborating in research with Sin. (Sin of course is a wanted man so no issue there). I am sorry if this not entirely clear! This was never designed to be a 3 vs 3 combat, as the three NPCs here are hardly friends. Edited August 19, 2018 by Supercape
Exaccus Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 isn't there some right where you can elect a champion to fight in your place? maybe Klara and Morgen could slug it out
Supercape Posted August 19, 2018 Author Posted August 19, 2018 Unless people want an edit of my last IC post, lest play it out IC! I am happy to see where this rolls!
Tiffany Korta Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Traditionally someone can nominate a champions to fight for you, so that's an option.
Avenger Assembled Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 I'll go ahead and get a post out of it, sure.
Avenger Assembled Posted August 19, 2018 Posted August 19, 2018 Let's call this: Damage 6 (PFs: Accurate 4, Variable Descriptor 1 [bludgeoning/piercing/slashing]) + Force Field 4 (parries) {15/15} from Dimitri's gadgets. If that's okay with you, Cape!
Supercape Posted August 19, 2018 Author Posted August 19, 2018 Fine by me; although doesnt that put him over PL 10?
Avenger Assembled Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 It puts him at about PL 11, as far as I know - PL 10 offensively and PL 12 defensively.
Supercape Posted August 26, 2018 Author Posted August 26, 2018 Just to let you know I haven't forgot about this! Its a complex situation as everyone on the scene is a complicated character with a different agenda. Normally a great feast to indulge in, but as you might suspect I am not emotionally at my peak right now due to bereavement. That said, I hope to get something out today or tommorow!
Supercape Posted August 27, 2018 Author Posted August 27, 2018 So I hope that works. Voin and DN are free to act on the stage at any point. (For reference, Voins initiative was 12, DN initiative 7) Morgen - Initiative: 1d20+6 15 Round 1 25 - Frost - 2 HP - Unharmed 15 - Morgen - Unharmed Morgen and Frost are an elegant two dozen feet from each other. There are plenty of overhead branches, trees, shrubbery, and little statues. Even a pond nearby, if you want to use the environment.
Avenger Assembled Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 Okay: Comrade Frost is going to try and grab her sword with his free hand as a power move. Attack: http://orokos.com/roll/656025 = I strongly suspect a 16 doesn't hit, so I'll spend an HP. http://orokos.com/roll/656028 = 24! Okay, that's a DC 22 save vs. having its Tou drained. That's one standard action! Let me know how that goes, Cape, and I'll finish his action.
Supercape Posted August 29, 2018 Author Posted August 29, 2018 The hit will certainly hit, putting Frost at 1 HP (Her Defence is +10, I guess the sword would gety a +4 bonus for size, but still a hit!) Now as I understand it, there would be a reflex save to avoid the toughness (As its a device in her hand) - Reflex vs Sword Drain: 1d20+6 10. So thats the full 12 point toughness drain. Its Device 6 so I think that gives a toughness of 16 base, now reduced to a measily 6! If I have missed any of the rules there, let me know (they aren't your regular ones!)
Avenger Assembled Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 As my move action, Frost will try and Intimidate her! She's probably fearless but that's OK, I'll probably need the HP from that. He only got a 7 on his check so even if you give me a bonus for what's written, might be tough. Whee!
Supercape Posted August 30, 2018 Author Posted August 30, 2018 Her Will bonus is +12...so even with a super duper bonus, that wont work!
Avenger Assembled Posted August 30, 2018 Posted August 30, 2018 Well well! Okay then. Fellow heroes, time to defeat the bad guy while Frost gets beaten up.
Supercape Posted August 30, 2018 Author Posted August 30, 2018 So Morgen will try to intimidate Frost in response as a move action! Move intimidate: 1d20+5 22 ouch! And then swing the someone frosted ember sword! Swings Sword: 1d20+10 26 ouch again. I think that hits, in which case it is a nasty one. A DC 25 Toughness save vs damage and a linked DC 20 Fatigue Effect WIL save.
Avenger Assembled Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 Intimidate vs. 22: http://orokos.com/roll/657357 = 22! Tou vs 25: His Toughness vs. Magic is somewhat limited: 8+4=12 ... http://orokos.com/roll/657358 = 32! Will vs 20 http://orokos.com/roll/657360 = 19! All right, well, I'll take the Fatigue!
Avenger Assembled Posted August 31, 2018 Posted August 31, 2018 @Tiffany Korta or @Exaccus, does it look like Dimitri's friends are going to arrest the bad guys now?
