Supercape
Ok so nothing fancy, another psychic attack on PP: Paralyse 10 (DC 20 Will Attack). That will mean shifting the array so no more mind reading / feedback. Link to comment
Ari
Platinum Porpoise DC20 Will save: 14. Failed by 6, so Paralyzed, Helpless. Fight is over! To focus in on Facsimile: Quote Feet of clay: Alex assimilates most features of the materials he mimics, especially any flaws or drawbacks that might entail such as increased vulnerability to some descriptors or even weakness to substances it might react with. Calling upon this, with +1 HP to Facsimile, to conjure up a new threat to the team! His "Door" form begins to collapse in on itself as the dimensional flux of the battle activates the other DR, which starts to turn Alex into a dimensional nexus of the Omniverse! If the process isn't averted, Alex the person will cease to exist and a giant portal will start consuming this dimension! (Yes we know he succeeds to be at next Claremont assembly, but still!) Making matters worse: Quote You are late for your one o’clock meeting! As one of the family representatives of Danger International in Freedom City, Veronica and her cousin have been assigned a personal assistant, Prudence, who has the daunting task of trying to keep the two Danger cousins on schedule. Prudence, who'd seen the apparently successful apprehension of the aliens, has stepped into the room at just the right time to get caught by a stray surge of interdimensional gravity! She's on a collision course for the portal, with mere moments to catch her before someone has to dive into Alex after her. +1 HP to Veronica. What do you do? Link to comment
Supercape
If its ok with you, using knowledge (Physical Sciences or Technology - both have the same bonus) as a reaction to see if there is any comic book science solution. Like firing a blaster pistol at the wave to create a quasi-collapsed hyperdimensional loop or something... Knowledge physicalology: 1d20+11 20 Link to comment
Thevshi
Well for Veronica it is pretty easy, she is throwing up a force construct between Prudence and the gateway, to stop the PA from getting sucked through. Link to comment
RocketLord
Pan's going to try to contain Facsimile and the leaking energies with his snare. Do I need an attack roll or another roll? Link to comment
Ari
You do not, @Rock@RocketLord Link to comment
Ari
@Supercape Sorry, Cape! Only saw your OOC post nowish. Echohead figures that since the cause was the presence and interaction of several dimensional conduits, there's a few options: 1) Get the armbands off of the Eagle and Porpoise and throw them into the portal. 2) Throw Eagle and Porpoise into the portal with their armbands on. Much faster and less likely the dimensional energies suffusing them will cause additonal problems. 3) Psychically force Alex's mind to change into another thing he's touching. This carries massive risks for both of them, since there's no guarantee the new form won't have worse problems and won't do deadly damage to Umberto. 4) Veronica's amulet seems to have some kind of magical power, and since magic and technology don't usually mix, using it to mess with the DR's dimensional field might stop the loop dead. 5) Blast the DR, which will for sure stop the feedback loop bit will also irreversibly damage ridiculously complex and rare technology that will take an untold amount of time to repair. 6) [Player's choice, preferably involving one or more additional PCs] Link to comment
Ari
No rolls needed, should add. Link to comment
Supercape
1. Seems appropriate Link to comment
Exaccus
Facsimile for his part is going to make like the cluster and use all his arms to try and pull himselves together and stop the hemmorage! Incase anyones curious that last bit of text is the letters after the correct one! Edited September 26, 2018 by Exaccus Link to comment
RocketLord
Going to Power Stunt Forever Boy's Blast power into this power: Damage 10 (Golden Blade; Extras: Penetrating 9; Feats: Precise) {20/20} And use a HP to get rid of the fatigue caused by the power stunt. Pan will then use the Golden Blade to try and cut Porpoise's Armband off. Link to comment
Ari
Works. No need to roll Attack but will roll Toughness for the Device(PL12,+12 TOU, the Penetrating gets past its Impervious) 22. Injured. As it was not destroyed outright, it retaliates: Rocket could you give me a DC20 Reflex save, and if you fail that a DC23 Toughness? @Exaccus @Supercape What if Echohead started helping Alex regain some mental equilibrium and peace of heart? Link to comment
RocketLord
Reflex Save: 1d20+10 = 12 Well, Toughness Save then. 1d20+5 = 23 Link to comment
Thevshi
Sorry I have taken to long on this Ari. Veronica will use her magical gadgets to make a Nullify spell to cancel Fac's Mimic power (10 ranks with accuracy if needed). Let me know if we are going to make rolls, or if Ex will have a choice to voluntarily fail the save vs the Nullify. Link to comment
Ari
No worries Thevshi, I seriously under/misserved Veronica as it is. And I'd prefer a Nullify roll, but if you'd rather not we can just say "It was good enough" and let Ex decide how to pick it up from there. Link to comment
Supercape
Echohead can try and do that Ari - but his psionic power is limited to removing thoughts / memories / feelings, not creating them. I would imagine a mind-wipe of recent events would serve the purpose, though! (can at least try!) Link to comment
Thevshi
Okay, Veronica gets a decent roll of 25 for her Nullify check. Would be nice if you were to edit the bits with Prudence we talked about before Ari. Link to comment
Ari
@Exaccus Ex, would you handle Fac's reaction to the Nullify attempt? No roll needed if you'd rather it succeed. Link to comment
