Zeitgeist Blue Posted January 20, 2019 Author Posted January 20, 2019 (edited) Reminder for @angrydurf, @Fox, @Nick, and @Thevshi to post. And you've got to do sommething about being stuck, navigating the maze-like dimension, and getting to the center in a decent amount of time. Or, you know, just stay put and chill. Talk about feelings. That sort of stuff. Edited January 20, 2019 by Zeitgeist Blue
angrydurf Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Alright Sundown in NJ is 4:52 on the day of the thread so we started after sundown. This means Ouroboros can use his mist form for scouting. So we'll start with setting the VP to Illusion 1(spectral image; visual only(2pp/rank) extras: duration(continuous)(+2)) 4PP He'll use that to display a holo map of the the dimension as he knows it and update as he's able while scouting so the others can work on how to get through. Then he'll use the vampire array mist form slot to be able to move freely between the stacked bots to scout and skill mastery stealth for a check of 30 to avoid notice while doing so. Maintaining Super Senses 8 (Mage Sight; on Magic Awareness [Visual]: Analytical 1, Counters Concealment 2, Counters Illusion 2, Tracking 3 [All Out Move]) [10PP] on his Super Senses 3 (Mage Sight; Dimensional Awareness [Visual] Magic Awareness [Visual] Feat: Dimensional) [5PP] with the magic array.
angrydurf Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Great, also, @angrydurf can you roll me Concentrate? Annddd Survival And lastly Will Concentrate will use skill mastery for a 20 Survival 1d20+3=23 Will 1d20+8=9 This is why we have HP! 1d20+8=18 (+10 for HP) = 28
Zeitgeist Blue Posted January 24, 2019 Author Posted January 24, 2019 (edited) Okay, so a recap's long overdue and here's a list of things you know, your goals, and your problems. Dimensions CPU - Intact Forcefield - Intact, Breaking, ? Pinions - Kinda intact, ? Electronic Defense Systems - Offline, Maze-like, filled with drones Pillars - Mostly Intact, ? Outer Shell a. - Breached, No ground, Blinding light Outer Shell b. - Breached, Floating islands, Electricity Summary of Events 1. Nicole drafted all of you to fix her problem and after the debriefing sent you all inside her armour. 2. There you met her Father and Ouroboros has an idea of the Core's layout from his initial magical sense roll. 3. You passed by two dimensions; the Outer Shells and the Pinions. The Outer Shells are breached and the Pinions hold doorways to the EDS and Forcefield dimension. 4. After opening the EDS doorway, you fought some drones. Then Masque disguised all of you to look like drones. 5. An 8-bit looking eye appeared and herded all the remaining drones and you among them back into the EDS doorway. That's when Abby came to after mentally short-circuiting for a bit. 6. And now you're inside the EDS dimension. Goals 1. Place the helmet that Veronica's carrying into the core in order to merge them. You should probably do this before the outside entities finish whatever they plan to do. The core is in the CPU dimension but you need to go through the Forcefield dimension to get to it. 2. You are currently trying to find the generator of the Electronic Defence System (EDS) dimension in order to use the drones or robots against whoever's messing with Nicole's armor (or at least keep it out of theit hands). Problems 1. There seems to be at least one malicious entity inside the armour. 2. You are now currently stuck in a maze-like dimension filled to the brim with drones that creates something like a Snare 10 (Steel [Toughness 10]) power. Note that the drones are not shut down. You can sense the pixelated magic working on them. 3. An 8-bit floating eye appeared from the Forcefield dimension at the end of your fight. Masque knows it isn't native to the suit and its magic is similar to the one holding the Forcefield dimension open and permeating within the drones. It seems to know how to power down the drones temporarily. Also talks with a woman's voice. Edited January 24, 2019 by Zeitgeist Blue
Zeitgeist Blue Posted January 26, 2019 Author Posted January 26, 2019 (edited) @Fox, @Nick, @Thevshi Can you guys give me each a Reflex Saving Throw roll, and a Toughness if you fail? Non-lethal Damage 1 (Extras: Area). Basically just to avoid getting jostled and pushed around by uncaring machines of steel. Nothing too serious. Also, what will you guys do with the update up? Edited January 30, 2019 by Zeitgeist Blue
Thevshi Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 Veronica passes the Reflex save with a 19. She gets a 24 for her Toughness save, so is fine.
April Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 The Damage doesn't get past Abigail's impervious. Did you want to include some other effect to test Arcana against?
Zeitgeist Blue Posted January 28, 2019 Author Posted January 28, 2019 Nah, I just wanted to fit an effect on what was happening. How the drones acted was more important to the scene than the Damage. I'll just write a short edit on my last post to reflect that nothing happened to you guys. Totally inconsequential damage, maybe some discomfort.
Zeitgeist Blue Posted January 28, 2019 Author Posted January 28, 2019 (edited) And edit up. You guys can post when you can. Edited January 30, 2019 by Zeitgeist Blue
Thevshi Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 Veronica will take this opportunity to change her magic gadget pool to Super Movement 2 (Air Walking) (Extra: Area, Feat: Selective)
Zeitgeist Blue Posted January 30, 2019 Author Posted January 30, 2019 (edited) So Fox, Nick, and Thevshi roll: Concentrate Survival Will And everyone, including Andgrydurf, roll: Stealth (it's a 30 for Ouroboros anyway). Edited January 31, 2019 by Zeitgeist Blue
Zeitgeist Blue Posted January 30, 2019 Author Posted January 30, 2019 BTW, feel free to continue your IC posts while waiting for the rolls and their results. They'll be used to determine how your later jaunt through the maze goes. Also, @angrydurf, you can choose to do something while waiting for them to come to you (or just wait, which is fine too).
Zeitgeist Blue Posted January 30, 2019 Author Posted January 30, 2019 (edited) Hey @angrydurf, can you roll me your Super-Senses 8? DC 26. Aso a Reflex Save. DC 22. Edited January 30, 2019 by Zeitgeist Blue
Thevshi Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 Okay, Veronica gets a 27 on her concentration check. A 24 on her survival roll. A 23 on her stealth check. And finally a 17 for her Will save.
angrydurf Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 Supersenses is a base roll of 1d20=16 so 26 if notice, 27 if supersenses power check(3 ranks out of array). Reflex is 1d20+3=10 I am not fast...
Zeitgeist Blue Posted January 31, 2019 Author Posted January 31, 2019 In order to kick-start this closer into the main part of the story, I'm invalidating Ouroboros' really high stealth roll. He gets an HP for this.
Fox Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Concentration Check: 1d20+8 20 Survival Check (untrained): 1d20+0 8 Will Save: 1d20+7 25 Stealth Check (untrained): 1d20+3 19
Zeitgeist Blue Posted February 5, 2019 Author Posted February 5, 2019 (edited) Veronica is being grappled. @Thevshi, roll an opposed Grapple Roll (and a Notice check to see if you're Surprised). You and @Fox, roll initiative. Veronica - Reflection Initiative: 1d20+8 = 24 Grapple Roll: 1d20+20 = 30 Melee Attack Roll: 1d20+8 = 22 Edited February 8, 2019 by Zeitgeist Blue
Thevshi Posted February 7, 2019 Posted February 7, 2019 Veronica gets a 11 for her grapple check and a 19 on her Initiative check.
Zeitgeist Blue Posted February 7, 2019 Author Posted February 7, 2019 (edited) Initiative Order Veronica (Refllection) - Fine Veronica Danger - Helpless, 3HP Masque - Fine, 1HP Move Action: Drag Veronica back into the mirror. Standard Action: Grapple Oppossed Strength Roll: 1d20+14 = 26 @Thevshi, you're up. Roll an Opposed Strength check to resist being dragged. Edited February 8, 2019 by Zeitgeist Blue
Thevshi Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 So ZB, there is really nothing Veronica can do at the moment. She has little chance of escaping her current situation on her own (or at least no chance that I would like to explore at this point in her character development). And you have arbitrarily removed her from the only person that could have helped her escape from the situation.
Zeitgeist Blue Posted February 16, 2019 Author Posted February 16, 2019 And there's a thing up, Thev. A minor note, but I'll assume Veronica's got Immunity (Suffocation) up from her VP array.
Thevshi Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 Are her hands free so that she can rework her curios? If not, she cannot change the VP.
