RocketLord
No magic, no. And whatever you prefer, Cape, but I generally prefer that the player still controls the mind controlled actions, for the most part. No fun if someone's excluded completely for failing a save. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Aquaria is going to be spraying her Trip + Knockback effect down into the crack in the ocean floor - it's basically a cannon of abyssal trench ocean water. She'll see if that'll stir up the aliens! It's a rank 12 General Cone Area effect. Link to comment
RocketLord
24 - Sgt. Shark - 1 HP - Mind controlled, Pinned 15 - Asad - 3 HP - Undamaged 13 - Sea Devil - 2 HP - Undamaged Sgt. Shark gets to make an extra Will Save vs. DC20 due to Aquaria's actions! Link to comment
Supercape
I will happily forgo that and activate his blood lust complication, if that suits the flow better. It might not fit having him KOd so early, but ill throw it up for grabs! Link to comment
RocketLord
1 HP for Sgt. Shark, then! Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Okay, who's up for a IC post? Is it @Supercape? Link to comment
RocketLord
Yep, @Supercape is up. 24 - Sgt. Shark - 2 HP - Mind controlled, Pinned 15 - Asad - 3 HP - Undamaged 13 - Sea Devil - 2 HP - Undamaged Link to comment
Supercape
Just trying to escape the grapple. Grapple Roll: 1d20+25 33 hopefully that wont win! Link to comment
TheAbsurdist
So, Asad is going to maintain, and move to pin as needed Grapple: 1d20+27 40 Link to comment
RocketLord
Sgt. Shark remains grappled! And can I get an opposed Grapple from @Supercape to see if the pin succeeds? Link to comment
Supercape
Grapple Roll: 1d20+25 34 it does! Link to comment
RocketLord
One pinned Shark then! @TheAbsurdist is up for IC post, then @Avenger Assembled for Sea Devil! Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
@RocketLord, while we wait for @TheAbsurdist to post IC, let me run this by you: Can I roll Handle Animal to try and overcome the Mind Control on Sgt. Shark's behalf? This actually puts me at a mechanical disadvantage, since Aquaria could easily stunt a high-level Nullify or similar countering effect off her trident, but doing it with the skill sounds cooler even if it puts her at just rolling +10. RocketLord
@Avenger Assembled Sgt. Shark is in a pretty animalistic state, and I like the idea, so go ahead! Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Okay, let's do this! Handle Animal check: http://orokos.com/roll/693125 = 20 That 20 beats the check, even if it does feel a bit weaksauce. I'll go ahead and post! Link to comment
RocketLord
That does indeed succeed, and Sgt. Shark is out of the mind control! Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Okay, what's next? Link to comment
RocketLord
Well, there's the tower with the disc that's creating the light to look into, or the powerline running from it deeper into the trench. Link to comment
TheAbsurdist
Asad is going to Ready Interpose, for use as needed. And he is going to move towards the lighted towers. Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
I think we're ready, @RocketLord! Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
They want to mess with a daughter of Dagon, they get what's coming to them - Aquaria drops the below effect on the creatures and their works. AP: Move Object 12 (The Grip of the Mother; Extra: Area [General, Burst], Flaw: Range [Touch], PFs: Affects Insubstantial 2, Indirect 2) {28/28} Link to comment
RocketLord
Yeah, these things cannot deal with that at all. Feel free to grip them all you want. Link to comment
TheAbsurdist
Okay, so full move to the pipeline, if he has to go past that, then he will hustle/run, whatever, and grab that pipeline, and depending will Stunt a Drain Energy effect, or hit Nullify on it. Link to comment
RocketLord
@TheAbsurdist: Just to check: Still want to try Drain Energy or Nullify on the pipleline with the rainbow light leaking from it? And if so, which one? Link to comment
Avenger Assembled
Now that I think about it, that might be too creepy - but Aquaria tends to assume that all Things that live below the sea are alike. Link to comment
