BlackBlade Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Players Name:Blackblade Power Level: 6 Characters Name: Blackblade Alternate Identity: Matthew Brodie Height: 5’7†Weight: 240 lbs Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown Description: BlackBlade is a tall, lumbering man who is dressed in a sailor's outfit that appears to come right out of the 17th century. Across his chest he wears a weather-beaten leather baldric, with a cutlass down at his hip, a flask strapped next to it, and a pistol ready to fire on the front. History: A pirate who was betrayed by his crew and mutinied on an iceberg, he was recently unfrozen by scientists at Living History Science Labs. When they found him unwilling to share his past and more than a little insane from being frozen for 2 centuries, they turned him over to the government of Scotland, where he had been born. Deciding to take advantage of his past and willingness for violence, the Scottish government gave him some of the best modifications they could afford. He has since turned to assaulting the criminal element, and more importantly any who commit crimes on the seas, as a way to vent his rage. Dr Archeville Posted August 8, 2008 Posted August 8, 2008 Welcome to Freedom City Play-by-Post! If you'd like, please introduce yourself over at the "Secret Identity" thread (link in my sig)! Regarding the background/history: the stories here do tend to focus on and around Freedom City, so having him based near the Scottish seas would be a bit difficult. Regarding his stats: Feats: Diehard Improved critical 2 (18-20 Blast) Improved critical 2 (18-20 Cutlass) Improved Initiative Fearless Move-By Action Weapon Break Equipment 1 Please list these in alphabetical order. Makes things easier on the Refs Powers: Device 3 (Disarm) Weapons Device 1 (Helpless) Costume Immunity (Cold) Immunity (Aging) Device Powers: Cutlass: Strike 2 PF: Mighty, Incurable, Vampiric Pistol: Blast 4, PF: Indirect 2 Costume: Protection 5 Devices are typically listed as either Easy or Hard to Lose, not "Disarm" or "Helpless". It's also preferred that you explicitly point out which powers go with which Device. Why is Indirect 2 on his Pistol? What's the "i-character reason" for it? Vampiric, like Penetrating, is an Extra, not a Power Feat. And you'd need to add it to the total damage (Strike + Str mod), so it would be something like Cutlass: Strike 2 (Extra: Vampiric 6; PFs: Incurable, Mighty); this would cost 10 points. The two immunities can be combined into one line, "Immunity 2 (aging, cold)" Equipment: Flask of rum (8 0z.) Mulit-tool Smoke Grenade For ease of reference, it would be good to have the actual stats/effect of the Smoke Grenade listed. Drawbacks: Moderate: Vulnerability (Fire) (x1.5 dmg) Weakness: -1 dex for every hour without drinking 1 oz of rum Please list the frequency and intensity of these drawbacks.
