angrydurf Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Yea Was trying to decide what threat to focus on. Move action: Hide in plain sight stealth check 1d20+13 = 30 Standard action: power attack +2 on Sorcerer Three 1d20+5=24 hmmm spend HP as a reaction for Heroic Feat Improved Critical to make that a crit. DC 28 toughness.
Thevshi Posted January 19, 2019 Author Posted January 19, 2019 The sorcerer only gets a 10, so he his out. Okay, one of the shadow-in-shadow will attack Red Lynx, this time hitting with a 25, that is a DC 22 toughness save for Red Lynx. @angrydurf The other attack Veronica, but only has his normal strength as he is the one keeping the darkness up, and misses anyway.
Thevshi Posted January 19, 2019 Author Posted January 19, 2019 @Fox Masque is up. You might want to be sure to read the last bit in the IC on what she is hearing from the exhibit.
angrydurf Posted January 21, 2019 Posted January 21, 2019 Toughness save: 1d20+9=19 fail by three for a bruise.
Fox Posted January 22, 2019 Posted January 22, 2019 In her indecision, Masque duplicates! This eats her standard action for the turn, and ties up her power array, so she's visible again. Masque 1 stays to fight, though she can't do much more than sit on the edge of the darkness for want of a target. I'm assuming it's not strictly an illusion, so her super-senses don't counter it? Masque 2 teleports off down the hallway, moving ~300' toward the exhibit.
Thevshi Posted January 25, 2019 Author Posted January 25, 2019 Okay, with Thul Sorcerer #3 down that means: ROUND FOUR 27 Veronica (unharmed, 3 HP) 7 Thule Sorc #1 (unharmed) 16 Red Lynx (bruised, 1 HP) 16 Shadow-in-Shadows (4, all unharmed) 4 Masque (unharmed, 4 HP) 4 Masque Duplicate (unharmed) Veronica will move out of the darkness to touch Masque’s arm and allow her to see through the darkness as well. She will then sprint down the hallway back toward the exhibit. With Thul Sorcerer #1 out of sight, that brings back up Red Lynx. @angrydurf
angrydurf Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 Red Lynx will take a swing at one of the shadow in shadows 1d20+7=10 Ooooor not.
Thevshi Posted January 29, 2019 Author Posted January 29, 2019 Okay, the Shadows near Red Lynx and one of the Masques will each focus on one of the teens. The first attacks Red Lynx, and misses with a 13. The other goes after Masque, and misses with a 17. That brings back up the two Masques! @Fox
Fox Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 Bonking the one attacking her! Melee Attack Roll vs. Wheel-in-Shadows (Power Attack -3/+3): 1d20+15-3 26 Bonk! DC23 Toughness, as before.
Thevshi Posted January 29, 2019 Author Posted January 29, 2019 So, he gets a 8, so he will go down as well.
Fox Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 Huzzah! The other Masque will teleport on to the exhibit - all the way in, if she has the movement.
Thevshi Posted February 6, 2019 Author Posted February 6, 2019 Okay, this brings up: ROUND FIVE 27 Veronica (unharmed, 3 HP) 7 Thule Sorc #1 (unharmed) 16 Red Lynx (bruised, 1 HP) 16 Shadow-in-Shadows (3, all unharmed) 4 Masque (unharmed, 4 HP) 4 Masque Duplicate (unharmed) Veronica is pretty much going to move to catch up with the Masque over in the middle of the exhibit.
Thevshi Posted February 6, 2019 Author Posted February 6, 2019 With Veronica moving her turn, that brings up the Thule Sorcerer, who will turn and fire a magic blast at Masque and he hits with a 25. DC 23 toughness save Fox! @Fox That brings up Red Lynx! @angrydurf
Fox Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Toughness Save vs. Thule Sorcerer, DC23: 1d20+7 23 Whew.
angrydurf Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Move action: Fast acrobatic feint, 1d20+13-5=16 (I am bad at maths that should be a net +8 not +7 so a 16 not a 15 but can re roll if you want) Standard action: power attack +2/-2 1d20+5=22 DC 25 toughness Save
Thevshi Posted February 16, 2019 Author Posted February 16, 2019 The Shadow only gets a 7 with a Natural 1, so he is down hard! The two remaining shadows that are where Veronica and Masque are will attack the two heroines. The one attacking Veronica missed with a 17, the one going after Masque also misses with a 19. We are up to the Masques now! @Fox
Fox Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 The Masque with Lynx will (assuming he's also coming with!) head toward the exhibit. No teleporting so that she doesn't leave him behind, but if she can reasonably take two move actions (to cover ~200 feet) or do a Move All Out full-round action (to cover as much of 400' as she can "in a fairly straight line"), she'll do that. The Masque in the exhibit will rush the Shadow that attacked her, and attack him right back. Melee Attack Roll vs. Wheel-in-Shadows (Power Attack -3/+3): 1d20+15-3 28 As ever, that's a DC23 Toughness save.
Thevshi Posted February 17, 2019 Author Posted February 17, 2019 He only gets a 13 on his toughness save, so I will say he is effectively removed from the fight.
Thevshi Posted February 17, 2019 Author Posted February 17, 2019 Okay, we are on ROUND SIX 27 Veronica (unharmed, 3 HP) 7 Thule Sorc #1 (unharmed) 16 Red Lynx (bruised, 1 HP) 16 Shadow-in-Shadow (unharmed) 4 Masque (unharmed, 4 HP) 4 Masque Duplicate (unharmed) Veronica will attack the last Shadow clone, hitting with a 26 meaning a DC 25 toughness save. He gets a 24, meaning he is bruised.
Thevshi Posted February 17, 2019 Author Posted February 17, 2019 @Fox @angrydurf We are out of combat now. In case it was not clear, the last Thule Sorcerer activated the self-destruct protocol for the clones.
angrydurf Posted February 19, 2019 Posted February 19, 2019 And skills more meager than I thought. Untrained Medicine isn't a thing so that explains why he's trying first aid on dead shadow clones
