Bendigeidfran
Funny, Aristodemus has a Laconic Greek accent, very old one. And he's a martial artist too. Isn't that a bit fun too? Link to comment
Moira Morley
Yes, the diplomacy check. The bit about them swarming you is me being silly Yes... I was just testing you... Bendigeidfran
Old habits are hard to break? Beats me. We just made him that way. Though he might be able to change accents in languages, I don't know. Link to comment

Moira Morley
Wisdom check (1d20=19) Does this mean we have to wait for you to say where she's going? What are the rules for a tackle? Link to comment
Ecalsneerg
Come on, over 2000 years and he hasn't picked up any verbal changes? Maybe he saw Highlander and swore not to sound like Christopher Lambert? Link to comment

Toptomcat
Hmmmmm. Can I even reach her without Extra Efforting my Speed? Earlier she moved 275 feet away from Red Star, so I'm assuming she's going roughly that distance again, but I've only got a 50-foot move. Link to comment
Dr Archeville
If Shinken has his "Typical Patrol Configuration", he has a 500 ft. move. Speed 3 = 50 mph = 500 foot move. (Also, I probably should've made you try an Acrobatics check to get into position to execute that move.) Red Star, if he's got his full Flight 5 (250 mph) on, has a 2500 ft. move. Link to comment
Bendigeidfran
I think I was a bit philosophical with that post. But really, that's what teamwork is about. Link to comment
Shadowboxer
I think I was a bit philosophical with that post. But really, that's what teamwork is about. I agree. We have reached the point where we come together as a team. We should wait for the others to return to the store to finalize our plans. Once that's done, where do you guys want to go from here? Toptomcat
You and I have some past history with Hieronymus King, don't we? Pursuing that might be interesting. Link to comment
Moira Morley
Wisdom check (1d20=19) Does this mean we have to wait for you to say where she's going? What are the rules for a tackle?I still need to know these things :D Link to comment
Bendigeidfran
My guy have had some run ins with Taurus, but we should avoid him. Oh yeah. I got to work on a suit too. But personally, Aristodemus doesn't care about whether or not people know who he is. Link to comment
Dr Archeville
I still need to know these things Sorry! Tackle is either a Charging Grapple or a Slam attack. Grab's about 100 feet from Moira (and Shinken) now (zig-zagging cost her some distance). Link to comment
Moira Morley
Seeing as a charge and grapple are full round actions, I wouldnt be able to take her down in one motion even if I surge, would I? Is she out of my reach for now even if I try to chase her down? Link to comment
Dr Archeville
If Moira moves all out (moving 120 feet but effectively becoming flat-footed for the round), she can reach her. Then use Extra Effort to Surge to get a standard action to smack or grapple her. Link to comment
Toptomcat
Though you may not need to, considering how I've just landed a PA5 crit on her. Link to comment
Dr Archeville
Did Shinken hit with his sword (lethal) or his bokken (nonlethal)? Link to comment
Toptomcat
I said in the roll notes that it was Nonlethal...even though I may use terms like 'sword' or 'blade' in my post, it's just because 'blunt sword' or 'bokken' or the like would have made the flow awkward. I promise that whenever I switch from one weapon to the other- or even one AP provided by the weapon to the other- I'll make a big deal about it in the text and OOC so you'll know. Barring any special notification such as this, the attack is gonna be made with the weapon, and AP of the weapon, that it was last round. Link to comment
Moira Morley
Though you may not need to, considering how I've just landed a PA5 crit on her. Well, yeah. This is something I need to know. if she's knocked out I won't need to rush and grab her. So I have to wait for that result, I guess :P Link to comment
Dr Archeville
Or you can do an IF/THEN post. One post describing two courses of action. Let's see... All-Out Attack + Power Attack 5 = =-5 Defense (and an additional -2 for charging = Defense is now 13) and +5 Damage (Damage +15, Penetrating 5 before crit is figured in). Toptom, it appears you have Improved Crit for Shinken's Katana, but not the Bokken. So that 19 isn't a crit. Also, Toptom, there's some new rules on Summon & Minions of which you should be aware. There's a post with them stuck to the top of every forum. Link to comment
Moira Morley
If the second part is needed she'll surge and spend an HP to ignore the Fatigue Grapple to hit, if charging doesn't count -2 to the roll (1d20+9=25) If that connects Grapple Check! (1d20+13=19) Edit: Forgot to add my base attack to the grapple check. The result is 26. Link to comment
Toptomcat
Aargh. This is another irritating and less-than-logical consequence of the strangeness of the compromise we settled on for the two-sword setup. I'm going to have another go at it and submit that version to the Character Edits board. Link to comment
