nareik123 Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Lullaby smiles as she leans back. "Related? My dear, she IS the princess. The champion of the Gods froze her for 1933 years and erased her memory. Poor girl doesn't even know of her legacy. Might show her though, a book I know off has been found, should jog her memory" Lullaby smiled.
Ecalsneerg Posted September 25, 2008 Author Posted September 25, 2008 "1933 years is a long time... what did the item you were bound to do for all that time? Languish in a box? And now we've got an ancient Amazonian singing in bars and clubs rather than in legends..." He let out a small chuckle. "Well, the lack of surprise on my part really shows off my age, doesn't it?"
nareik123 Posted September 25, 2008 Posted September 25, 2008 Lullaby laughed as she leans back on her chair, ordering another coffee. "Luckily friend, I felt nothing about it. 1,900 odd years kinda go fast when you techincally don't exist. I'd feel sorry for the little princess. Oh yeah, don't call her a princess, she won't believe you" Lullaby giggled.
Ecalsneerg Posted September 26, 2008 Author Posted September 26, 2008 "Well, I've never technically met her, and I'm twice her physical age so 'princess' wouldn't be the best idea anyway." "So, anyway, what's your plans for the future now?"
nareik123 Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Lullaby sighs as she looks down. "I...I dunno. It's hard, trying to locate my sisters. Then Lully needs to regain her old self, including her magical jewelry. She might not even reach her old selfs peak. I suppose I need to keep on trying" Lullaby groaned.
Ecalsneerg Posted September 26, 2008 Author Posted September 26, 2008 "Hey, intensive training is the way to go. World-class superheroes like The Raven and Bowman are able to hang with people like Lady Liberty and Captain Thunder simply due to having practiced and practiced until they are stupidly well-trained. Like they say, practice makes perfect." "Not to go off on a rant, that's actually one of my pet peeves. Nothing is stopping most superpowered heroes from being as highly trained and skilledas the non-powered ones, but very few of them are. They shouldn't rely so heavily on their powers."
nareik123 Posted September 26, 2008 Posted September 26, 2008 Lullaby nods, with a faint smile. "Yes, training is the way forward. Shame it's training with a person who doesn't even know of her powers" She smiled, sipping more coffee.
Ecalsneerg Posted September 27, 2008 Author Posted September 27, 2008 "So how does it work whn you're in charge? Does she just wake up not remembering anything?"
nareik123 Posted September 29, 2008 Posted September 29, 2008 Lullaby smiled. "She remembers a little. Like what she has done, as she does it willingly and freely. I, however, filter out information she does not, or should not, know. I couldn't tell her the connection to me, she'd distrust me! Seeing as I'm the only reason why she is actually around, I will fear for her life" Lullaby admitted.
Ecalsneerg Posted September 29, 2008 Author Posted September 29, 2008 "Well, if you're still in danger from that champion or his descendents, I'd be scared too. Is that why you came to Freedom City? To be near all these superhumans, I'd say it's one of the safer places in the world."
nareik123 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Lullaby frowns as she lowers a voice and leans closer. "Between you and me" she whispered, "This place is only safe if you wear a cape and a body spandex suit. Seeing as I look like a young, albeit beautiful, girl, I'm regularly harassed by people. Some even try adopt me. Of course, a roundhouse to the face with heels on usually persuades them to leave me alone. Lullaby then leans back and takes a few sips. "Are you going to try and make love to me?" She giggles, teasingly.
Ecalsneerg Posted October 1, 2008 Author Posted October 1, 2008 Arrowhawk smiled nervously. "I doubt you're my type." "And that all depends on what areas you stay in. My regular haunts I think you'd be correct, but if you take into account the whole city, I'd say you're mostly wrong. I've seen the scum of the Earth long enough to tell this city is fairly safe."
nareik123 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Lullaby laughs as she smiles. "It was a joke! I didn't expect you to say yes. And as for places to stay, this was closest" Lullaby giggled. She smiled as she leaned back. "Any crime busting adventurers going on? I want in for once in my life" She giggled.
Ecalsneerg Posted October 1, 2008 Author Posted October 1, 2008 "Not much tonight. I was looking for a drug dealer, but I've been misinformed and it's too late to go back across town and do something about it." He thinks for a second, before deciding to offer. "I could take you on a quick patrol to see if anything is going on?"
nareik123 Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Lullaby smiles as she stands up. "I can control music. Namely, throw music at foes, my singing can heal injuries. I can also use music to separate my consciouses from my body and go scouting" Lullaby informed.
Ecalsneerg Posted October 2, 2008 Author Posted October 2, 2008 "That should come in handy," smiled Arrowhawk, tossing a top on the table as he pulled his grappling hook from his belt, twirling it around his trigger finger unconsciously. "I'll need you to hold on to me while I do this, unless you can fly?"
nareik123 Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Lullaby beckoned Arrowhawk outside. "Watch this" She giggled, and then sang a single, high pitched note. The note formed out of her mouth onto the ground, where it grew. She quickly jumped onto the note and rose into a hover. "Now THIS is transportation" She giggled.
Ecalsneerg Posted October 2, 2008 Author Posted October 2, 2008 "Well, then, this'll be a bit more interesting," grinned Arrowhawk, quickly firing the grappling hook at a nearby lamp-post and feeling himself tugged into the air by the zip-wire, unattaching it and free-falling for a brief moment before firing at the next lamp-post and pulling himself around in a wide arc through mid-air . As he took off down the road, he shouted, "Not how I usually patrol, but let's make it a bit more fun, eh?"
nareik123 Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Lullaby smiles as she takes off on her musical note. She caught up with Arrowhawk and offered him a slim hand. "Swinging around seems tiring. Wanna lift?" She asks, smiling, offering a slim hand. OOC: Assume your still using flight and I think it'll be ok.
Ecalsneerg Posted October 2, 2008 Author Posted October 2, 2008 Arrowhawk grasped her hand and held on tightly. "Thanks for the ride..." As they flew, a bit slower now, he took the time to secure his bow and quiver to avoid losing them in the air. Suddenly he noticed something a few streets away. "Fire! We should head over there"
nareik123 Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Lullaby frowned as she saw the fire and instantly altered course to fly towards the fire. "Wow, this is new to me" she yelled over the air rush. "How we gonna work this?" Lullaby asked.
Ecalsneerg Posted October 2, 2008 Author Posted October 2, 2008 "Well, assuming neither of us have water control powers, we help the fire fighters out. They may need help getting people out of the building or keeping the crowd away from the blaze." As they neared the fire, it became evident that it was some sort of apartment building, the flames licking around the outside of the building as the fire brigade struggled against it. "Drop me here," said Arrowhawk, letting go and rolling on the ground. "I think I hear screams from upstairs. You want to check it out or shall I?"
nareik123 Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Lullaby nods as she lands as well. "Friend! I can go inside the building with my musical abilities without risking myself! However, only my spirits in there, so I can't save anybody. Want me to go in?" Lullaby yells at Arrowhawk.
Ecalsneerg Posted October 3, 2008 Author Posted October 3, 2008 "I could go in the window, and pass people to you so you can fly them to the ground safely," said Arrowhawk, pulling a rebreather from his belt and affixing it to his face under his domino mask, flicking the red lens into place to protect his eyes. "Didn't you say you could heal people too?" he asks, a little muffled this time.
nareik123 Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Lullaby smiled as she nods. "Music is soothing, for me, this is actual true!" Lullaby giggles. However, she nods in her agreement in the plan as she hovers up into the air again.
