MarkK Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 I guess the Emissary attending the Midnight Club breaks it's tradition of not inviting superheroes. I was invited to play, and given a reason to attend by the person that made the thread, I'm unappreciative of the snark here.
Thevshi Posted November 15, 2007 Author Posted November 15, 2007 He nodded a cordial greeting to Megan King, making a mental note of exactly what the daughter of Hieronymous King actually looked like, Cong, it's Lucy King. Megan is my character (Megan Howell). And Lucy King is Hieronymous' granddaughter, not daughter :)

I don't know why my fingers refuse to type what I know in my head. Maybe it's cause I'm a dope. Or I just need to learn to copy-edit. :)

I was just making a comment. For one thing it's important to know when things called out in the Freedom City setting book are being changed, and this would be one of them.

The book says supers are not invited to join the club. That does not mean that they might not be invited to a party as a guest. It also assumes that the club knows someone is a super. I see little reason for anyone with a secret identity to not be a member.

SilvercatMoonpaw Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Well I posted what I said before I knew that the Emissary was just a guest.

Just turn the Midnight Society's exclusive standards into a roleplaying opportunity, like I did- as a superhero with a public identity and 'new money' to boot, the greeter treated him like dirt, and I'll probably make up an NPC guest or two to do the same at him. Make it fun.

SilvercatMoonpaw Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Well, I'm joining up. And she's not the "terribly polite socialite" type.

Thevshi Posted November 17, 2007 Author Posted November 17, 2007 Why do people keep forgeting that Megan's mother is also there? Donald and Erin Howell, using their names would be a good way to greet them.
