Ari Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 What do folks want to do with their Claremont Squads? Personal and group goals, relationships, all that good stuff. Who would like to take the lead on GMing for those #squadgoals? I would be happy to start GMing for Green Squad.
Heritage Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 I'd love to see Orange Squad do some group activities! The first thing that popped into my head was paintball, but laser tag might be more realistic liability-wise If they have the place to themselves via buying it out for half an hour or so, they could probably sneak some power use in! This would be Lulu's suggestion.
RocketLord Posted September 28, 2019 Posted September 28, 2019 (edited) I'm gonna be running a thread for Blue Squad that can hopefully get some interactions for the new squad, while keeping in with the semi-theme of them going weird places from their previous trips into a book and a dream. It could be nice to have some more ongoing threads for the squad as a whole this year. Additional stuff: For Pan personally: Making some headway on returning to Neverworld. Dr Archeville Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 I'd love to see some group activities for Green (w/ Artificer) and Orange (w/ Horrorshow), of both the "professional" (combat or powers training on school grounds) and "rebellious" (sneaking out to attend a concert or film showing) variety. (Horrorshow would love doing stuff with his squad, Artificer would be reluctant, at least initially.) Figuring out what those teams niches/themes are, and how my chars can fit into them, would also be good. Will this be the year one (or more) Squad(s) goes to Leroy's home and ousts his mother? Orange Squad goes on a roadtrip, somehow detours through Lulu's hometown, helps her confront something from her past?
Avenger Assembled Posted September 29, 2019 Posted September 29, 2019 Will this be the year one (or more) Squad(s) goes to Leroy's home and ousts his mother? - that's what Judy would like! I also plan to have Ashley and Judy's secret come out.
Cubismo Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 I'm not sure if Ms. Thursday is still on the Orange Team, but I'd be game for a road trip.

Considering she's from southern Alabama, that's a helluva detour! Not ruling it out, but 'tis a bit of stretch. Now, if they're out at the mall or something and her family manages to track her down, that might be more realistic, and kind of terrifying. Definitely down for rebellious teenage shenanigans! Orange Squad is very diverse in terms of powers, many of which (teleportation, illusions, shapeshifting) would be excellent for sneaking out at night! EDIT: also down for road trips! KnightDisciple Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 Personal: -Thunderbird develops the depth, breadth, and control of his powers -Micah grows in confidence -Build a motorcycle and drive it. Team -Green Squad stuff in general -An actual out-in-the-field adventure (aka combat) with them -Figure out how to handle being on a team with Octoman
Ari Posted October 1, 2019 Author Posted October 1, 2019 Hey that's a pretty good way to break it down KnightDisciple! For Sun Dragon & Dio: Progressively break from homeworld and also from Prime expectations. Help people in ludicrous and heavy-handed ways as they discover their own ways of doing things. Seek out sources of power and super-moves when confronted by problems requiring emotional and intellectual growth. Orange Squad: Face powerful (not necessarily physical)threats related to the families of the Squad members. Clash over differing worldviews and cultural backgrounds. Destroy important or valuable things in the course of protecting others.

Spring Break road trip from Freedom City (NJ) to Vibora Bay (FL), pulled off-course so subtly we don't realize it until Lulu starts noticing some disturbingly familiar landmarks? Horrorshow * melee combat training (powered and non) with Sun Dragon (the only other melee-er on Orange squad). * continued practicing/mastering powers, with help from Grimalkin and Miss Grue * possibly learn about uncle's ties with the Mafiya, become disappointed/disillusioned Orange Squad * we've got a metamorph, a sorceress, a psychic, a(n anti-)matter manipulator, a gravity-manipulating martial artist, and a geokinetic dragon. That's a broad range of powers! But what, if any, will our niche and/or theme be? * it's fair to say most of them have family issues. How can they help each other with that? Can they become a new family for each other, one forged by choice rather than blood? Artificer * learn more about the Surface world, especially its technologies and magics. Octoman & Thunderbird could help with former, Victoria Danger with latter. * discover self while away from conservative, tradition-bound, xenophobic Atlantis. He still loves Atlantis, but will he be able to change it, or will it change him? * show the Surface world the greatness of Atlantis, not through boasts but deeds. * combat training with Green squad. * work on ways to insure he (PL 7) is not a burden to the rest of Green squad (all PL 10). Green Squad * keep eye on unstoppable force (Octoman) vs. immovable object (Chelone). * Danger, Inc.-sponsored shenanigans? * The Two Americas: Lady Liberty & Thunderbird * Senior Project: convert one of the abandoned Atlantean outposts in the Bermuda Triangle into a Squad HQ?
