Mafiya initiative: 9

 

Set up: The three vans with the Upstarts and the 3 police cruisers have all been abandoned in the middle of the street, in front of the court house. 

It seems that the Malakov Mafiya is shooting at at them from the street, alleys and buildings on the street opposite the court house. Its difficult to get an exact number of people, but they're noticing that there's people actually running towards trouble.

 

Alright, current turn order, @angrydurf, you're up.

Alright we'll start with setting hte hydrokinesis array to 

Flight 3 (Surf's Up!; Extras: Affects Others, Area; Flaws: Platform; Feats: Selective; Drawbacks: Low Ceiling 1, Forward Only, No Swimming)  

Use that to get on scene and get ready to interpose.

 

Is there sufficient liquid water nearby for his "medium: Water" powers to work?  If not that's fine just checking what's available to start with.

You're at the Riverfront, not right next to the harbor, but relatively close. There's a water fountain in front of the court house and there's fire hydrants nearby that can be used.

 

Alright, Justice activates her armor, using her boost jets to get there quickly.

Setting M.O.D. System to 5 ranks of each, for a balanced +10 in TOU and DEF.

 

She fires with the Justice Buster, shooting a concussive blast at a bad guy: 16, that's a hit.

Rolling TOU vs. DC21 for the one hit: 8

Let's say you get 6 Mafiya guys with that:

6x Reflex Save vs. DC19: 14 21 21 9 3 21

3 pass, 3 fail

3x Reflex save vs. DC19: 4 16 11 All fail

3x Reflex save vs. DC14: 17 16 16 All pass

 

The 3 soldiers that ES tried to Snare shoots back at her: 10 6 21, that's one hit, give me a DC20 TOU save

2 soldiers shoot at Kanunu: 18 18, both miss

2 soldiers shoot at Justice: 17 24, that's one hit, so a DC20 TOU save for Justice

 

The rest keep attacking the armored trucks, starting to do some damage.

There appear to be at least 20 Mafiya soldiers around

Free action:  switch hydrokinesis array to Create Object 18 (Hydrokinetic Barriers; Flaws: Source [Water]; Feats: Selective, Tether)   

Standard Action:   drop a dome over the transports trying to keep as many of the gunners outside as possible.  Toughness 18 barrier.  Permeable to Justice and ES and their powers but blocking anything else

Move Action:  move to melee range with any of the Mafiya trapped inside or barring any inside the largest cluster outside.

The largest cluster on the ground are the three that ES failed to catch, there's none up close so far.

 

Justice switches the M.O.V.E. array to the Armor Plating, Z-Space Arsenal to Justice strike and goes for a Combat Teleport, teleporting up to some of the shooters on the roof. Going on the attack, she has a possible 3 to hit if she KOs with her Justice Strikes and Takedown Attack: 14 15 11, which doesn't matter at all, cus she misses the first one!

 

With that, using a free action to switch the M.O.D. array to +15TOU/+5DEF.

 

Trying to sketch it out:

 

There's about 8 men on the roof, including the one that barked out orders. They're in groups of 3, 4 and the one barking orders.

There's 12 men on the ground. 6 on the left side of the building, 3 of those are stuck together with webbing, the other 3 are close together, with Kanunu engaging them in melee. The others 6 on the ground are grouped in groups of two in front of the building.

Alright, 6x Reflex to halve or not the effect: 2 21 15 13 8 4

Alright, one made that, rolling resisted Trip for him: 8

And the rest: 14 7 14 6 18

 

All fall down!

 

And the Mafiya are up, so all rise, but they can't move, at least! 

 

4 of the ones that ES tripped shoot at her: 8 12 16 14

All miss

 

The three near Kanunu shoot at him: 25 14 19

Two hits, give me TOU saves vs. DC20... but your Impervious Toughness takes care of that.

 

The three on the roof closest to Justice shoots at her: 9 12 18

One hit, since she's fully TOU shifted. DC20 save: 20, just makes it

 

The remaining seven all shoot at the trucks, with the water blocking it. Durf, can I get 7 DC20 TOU saves from the water dome?

They're minions, and can't make that save at all, so you take out the three near you.

The guy giving the orders is on the roof,

Since Durf made me remember that you can take 10 against minions, Justice will do just that with Takedown Attack against the 3 guys next to her. Rolling TOU for them, vs DC25, in order: 17 12 24

All three go down, and Justice moves into melee with the other group of 4 at the roof, with the leader left on his own for now.

Switching Justice's MOVE System to Impervious Toughness.

 

Justice attacks the Minions in front of her, taking 10 and using takedown attack. Rolling 4xTOU vs DC25: 17 22 22 6, all fall down, leaving just the leader standing on the roof.

Mafiya boss TOU: 9. KO

 

The newcomer smashes through a wall next to Kanunu and charges into him: 30, hit and critical. He got Improved Grab and uses the hit to try to Grapple Kanunu. Grapple check: 42

@angrydurf Give me a TOU save vs. DC35, followed by an opposed grapple vs. 42

Then you're up.
