Veronica will set her variable pool in her amulet to: +8 ranks Kn: History (up to 13 ranks (+17)); +8 ranks Drive (up to +12 (+16)); +8 ranks Pilot (up to +11 (+5)) Veronica will see if she can remember any of the details that Felix is asking about (assuming she gets the +4 bonus to her Kn: History check for Eidetic Memory, for a +19 (as I think this caps out skill ranks before the full bonus applies as a PL 10)). She gets a 32 on her check.
Avenger Assembled Posted March 23, 2020 Posted March 23, 2020 Veronica knows that - The Centuritron was built in 1940 by Dr. Mulher Morcego, a Brazilian Integralist who might have been one of the terrors of the 20th century if she hadn't perished when her dirigible crashed into the South Atlantic in the summer of 1941. Actually met Ace once back in the day but was truly only interested in power, not his charms. Short woman, a bit darker-skinned than a woman of her status was usually supposed to be in 1940s Brazil, liked to wear goggles, slacks, and a green batlike costume. She wanted to use the robot to make herself famous as Brazil's great hero (while clandestinely eliminating her enemies) - which attracted the attention of the Centurion. She had the idea of purging Brazil of foreign influence - which is how she (and the robot) encountered Johnny Danger on an archeological dig in the Amazon. It's a big thing; powered by an internal electrical charge (originally from a hydroelectric dam) and could actually fly (on powerful piston engines!) before the Man of Adamant could himself take to the sky. It's all steel and brass, capable of taking punches from the Centurion early in his career, and it actually took the Man of Adamant distracting it with powerful blows while Johnny removed the internal power source (a powerful battery). As far as you know it's just a big dumb robot - if it's in operation, it's being controlled - probably by what Mulher used back in the day - the MIRACLE OF RADIO! "
Thevshi Posted March 24, 2020 Author Posted March 24, 2020 Veronica will assign the last few points in her amulet's variable pool to +8 ranks Craft: Electronics (+12); +8 ranks Kn; Physical Science (up to 12 ranks (+16); she will swap the Kn; History for Kn; Technology +8 (+12) Amulet variable pool: +8 ranks Kn: Physical Science (up to 12 ranks (+16)); +8 ranks Drive (up to +12 (+16)); +8 ranks Pilot (up to +11 (+15)); Craft: Electronics 8 ranks (+12); Kn: Technology 8 ranks (+12) Her Magic pool is being set to: Teleport 10 (Extra; Accurate; Flaw: Long-range only; Feats; Progression 4 (x20 mass)) Which she will use to teleport herself, Legatus and her Danger Cycle to one of the locations she saw along the robot’s path of destruction in her briefing.

Nobody's in immediate danger, but there are people hurt, and they are a long way from aid.

She will keep the Comprehend, but drop the healing and replace with: Blast 10 (Feat: Accurate) (21 PP) The gem's pool will remain as previously indicated.

secondling Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 Notice: 16 for Legatus. I'm pretty sure that's the only skill that's applicable here - Life Sciences would be more useful if the Centuritron had a biological component, but as it is, I can only imagine it being useful in assessing the devastation of the local ecosystem, which is unlikely to be useful here. Sorry for the huge delay. Things got out of hand on my end, as usual.
