angrydurf Posted May 13, 2020 Author Posted May 13, 2020 That will miss unless you want to burn the HP for a reroll. The Thing is dazed and staggered/disabled so it has no actions. Exacus is up if RL doesn't want that reroll. And I need a notice check from both of you.
RocketLord Posted May 13, 2020 Posted May 13, 2020 No need for a reroll, not when its that hurt anyway.
angrydurf Posted May 13, 2020 Author Posted May 13, 2020 You both make it! While it's trying to recover from a big hit like that last one the human(oid) elements roil across the surface more often, for longer, and with better definition, as if that is something it's preventing when more active. There are at least two distinct faces and skin tones that form before eventually losing cohesion.
Exaccus Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Heat beam eyeblast! precision heat vision to be precise! DC27 Tou again please!
angrydurf Posted May 19, 2020 Author Posted May 19, 2020 Toughness Save 1d20+10=22 fail by 5 Injured and Dazed Round 5 17 Spaceman 3HP Uninjured 12 The Thing ------ Disabled, Injured x 1, Dazed 5 Jovian 1HP Bruised X 1 Spaceman is up.
RocketLord Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Let's try a Snare one more time, around the whole thing: 28 Alright, that should hit, DC20 reflex save.
angrydurf Posted May 26, 2020 Author Posted May 26, 2020 Reflex Save V. Snare = 11 fail by 9 Bound and Helpless
angrydurf Posted May 29, 2020 Author Posted May 29, 2020 And we're out of rounds. the nanite swarm is bound and helpless. I think spaceman can move it still in that state... the basement is threatning to collapse. and probably will before the scanevngers can walk themselves out unless one of you has a stunt left to repair the supports or wants to pull a classic hold up the collapsing building manuever. If it does collapse it will cause more damage above, at least to the street maybe to the houses nearby, certainly a risk if any civilians are gawking near the top of the sinkhole. So need to get the nanites out the scavengers out (probably both of you) and maybe stop or delay the collapse. Lemme know what you want to try!
angrydurf Posted June 4, 2020 Author Posted June 4, 2020 Poke @Cubismo @RocketLord Out of rounds so either of you can post your actions.
RocketLord Posted June 4, 2020 Posted June 4, 2020 (edited) Was waiting for Ex, but I'll get something in there while waiting for him to feel better! Using Move Object at rank 14 to try to hold everything up. Give everyone a chance to get out of there, while he figures out how to try and repair it. Or Jovian steps in with something. Edited June 4, 2020 by RocketLord
angrydurf Posted June 5, 2020 Author Posted June 5, 2020 Alright that'll buy some time and Exacus can hit this when eh's in the right headspace.
Exaccus Posted June 7, 2020 Posted June 7, 2020 sorry for my long absence. if its ok i would like to try and go all in to super strength to try and hold the place up too. or help anyway. At full and all out strength her Heavy load is 183.5k tons, maximum load is 395k tons
angrydurf Posted June 7, 2020 Author Posted June 7, 2020 You certainly together have the might to hold up the chamber long enough for the scavengers to get clear. But unless you're both going to sit here holding it up till construction crews show up to build supports it'll go once you stop holding it up. Some options off the top of my head for semi permanent solutions. Heal(objects only): stunted off SS or laser eyes [think superman elding things in place with heat vision or tieing dangling girders together with super strength/speed Transform: Kinda a catch all but good for more descriptors than heal. Probably something like hyper compressed materials off super strength, or some novel use of space control/alien physiology (Martian spit makes concrete when mixed with high iron rubble?) Create Object: either a temporary space loop reinforceing things or a more permanent import of mater from z-space? All those would shore it up long enough for crews or doc metropolis to come clear it up. Alternately one could hold it up while hte other goes and makes sure civilains are clear then when it does collapse the damage/risk of injury is minimal. Some people will probably loose parts of yards maybe an outbuilding/shed/fence and the streets will be closed for a while but no one hurt and no loss of more valuable property.
Exaccus Posted June 8, 2020 Posted June 8, 2020 Time to be a gross alien and hock up some super flex glue reinforced by a high iron intake diet.
angrydurf Posted June 14, 2020 Author Posted June 14, 2020 That'll stabilize the structure long enough for a real repair to get done off camera. @RocketLord go ahead and post for spaceman getting the baddy and maybe scavengers, out when you have the time.
