RocketLord Posted October 18, 2020 Posted October 18, 2020 OOC for this. @3personal5me Alright, the bank is barricaded, so the first thing you will probably want to do is to find a way in, or to figure out if you know anything about what's going on. That's where your Skills come in. Suggestions on what you could do: - Talk to the cops near the scene, ask what you can do. This most likely won't require any rolls, but if you want to, you can roll Diplomacy. - Try to find a way inside, you will be rolling with your Search skill for that. - Anything else you might want.
3personal5me Posted October 18, 2020 Posted October 18, 2020 (edited) Given the inherent time constraints of a hostage situation, is the situation considered "too much pressure" to take 10 on a Diplomacy? Edited October 18, 2020 by 3personal5me
RocketLord Posted October 18, 2020 Author Posted October 18, 2020 Yep, but you won't need it here, anyway.
3personal5me Posted October 19, 2020 Posted October 19, 2020 I believe Anthony can make a Notice check to try to "listen in" on any radio communications between the gunmen inside? Whether or not he can will effect the next post made
3personal5me Posted October 22, 2020 Posted October 22, 2020 Taking a peek through a an 8th floor window before busting in. Any sort of Notice check, or am I just dice happy?
3personal5me Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 He's going to try opening the window. I don't want to try to make an IC post that just amounts to "he tried to open the window", so I figure it would be easier to figure out if the window opens or not and write the post based on that.
RocketLord Posted October 29, 2020 Author Posted October 29, 2020 (edited) You'll be able to open it using your suit, give me a Stealth check at DC15 if you want to do it without making any noise. Edited October 29, 2020 by RocketLord
3personal5me Posted November 4, 2020 Posted November 4, 2020 That would be a 29 to open the window quietly.
RocketLord Posted November 4, 2020 Author Posted November 4, 2020 Alright, give me an IC of you moving inside. No one seems to notice you.
3personal5me Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Thats a 30 to open the door leading to the stairs
RocketLord Posted November 12, 2020 Author Posted November 12, 2020 Remember to tell me what you use, I guess its Disable Device. You get the door unlocked with no issues.
3personal5me Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 So I'm thinking another Disable Device to get the door unlocked, watch through the window for a moment when the thug isn't facing the door, sneak through, and Surprise Attack
RocketLord Posted November 20, 2020 Author Posted November 20, 2020 Roll for the Disable Device, Stealth for the sneaking, and then an attack roll for the attack, and let me know what you use to attack.
3personal5me Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Disable Device is a 17 Stealth is a 22 Melee Attack (Weapons Array; Enhanced Strength) is a 27 with a DC 25 Toughness save
RocketLord Posted November 24, 2020 Author Posted November 24, 2020 That's a hit. TOU: 21 Since he is a minion and failed the Toughness Save, he is knocked out. Give me an IC post. And you don't have to wait for me to respond to OOC posts before writing an IC post, go ahead with everything up until actually hitting with a strike or actually succeeding or failing.
RocketLord Posted December 7, 2020 Author Posted December 7, 2020 Give me a Stealth roll as you move forward, and what do you want to do?
3personal5me Posted January 7, 2021 Posted January 7, 2021 I believe the prudent thing to do would be to continue trying to pick them off, starting with the lone man near the tellers. Not sure about the action economy on this one; Assuming he successfully takes down the thug in stealth, would he then be able to take him back up to the ceiling and stick him there? Obviously he has the movement for it (with a move speed of 500' and the Swinging power) and the ability to stick him to the ceiling (Snare with Tether) but I am not entirely clear on; 1) Move>Attack>Move 2) Using the Snare in a non-combat way (as the opponent is already unconscious)
RocketLord Posted January 11, 2021 Author Posted January 11, 2021 If you want to split your Move Action before and after a Standard Action (your attack) you need to pick up the Move-By Action feat, otherwise you will have to move (your Move Action) then attack (your Standard Action), then wait till next round to snare. If he is unconscious, he will not get a save and will automatically be snared and stuck on the ceiling, if you throw him up there, but you will either need to Surge to take a second Standard Action in this round (which will leave you fatigued at the beginning of next round unless you spend a Hero Point to get rid of that), or wait until the next round. It would be best to attack in this round, then snare and hide again in the next.
3personal5me Posted January 14, 2021 Posted January 14, 2021 (edited) Then attack it is! Melee Attack (Weapons Array; Enhanced Strength) is a 30 (nat 20!) with a DC 30 Toughness Save Edited January 14, 2021 by 3personal5me
RocketLord Posted January 14, 2021 Author Posted January 14, 2021 (edited) He's down. I'll follow up later. Edited January 14, 2021 by RocketLord
RocketLord Posted January 19, 2021 Author Posted January 19, 2021 Give me a Stealth check vs. Notice 15 for your next action. They're moving about, but let's see if they notice you!
