Klara was a warrior at heart and despite hoping for the best had planned for the worse. Whilst waiting for the giants to react she’d considered a number of different tactics to take them down. At the end of the day though she suspected that they’d respect the direct approach.

So when the giants charged she leaped into action flying towards the nearest giant using her momentum to strike a powerful blow on them. The only Maori she knew, that could be said in polite company, was when she’d asked some of her new friends how to say her superhero name. Or at least she hoped so they were pretty deep into there cups at that point.

Wahine Toa!”

When the giant fell she tried to follow through to another of the giants, but her blows wasn’t as powerful as she’d have liked.

This would have been an easy fight among Deep Ones. Aquaria would have gutted the nearest of the giants and bellowed a bass challenge to the others to see if they really meant their continued resistance. But without knowing the true story of these giants and with so many Surfacers present, Sea Devil handled this in a way more suitable for a champion of Freedom City. She pointed with her trident and bellowed an eldritch syllable, producing a startling transformation as a sudden torrent of water came rushing from the centerpoint of the three blades. She took aim and focused the blast against the giants, knocking them to their feet and down with a tremendous blast of powerful water. The water was cold and salty, she knew, as if taken from the depths of Hydra's ocean itself.

She struck her trident against the ground and bellowed "Now! While they fall!"

Jessie instantly took the cue to raise her shield and race towards the giants. She yelled as she ran, not so much a war cry as a banshee's wail, an unsettling shrill noise that promised pain and death. It certainly seemed to bother the one remaining giant, who barely thought to dodge until she was already upon him. She brought the shield down with a noise like a bell tolling, then made herself pull away. One hit was enough, one hit put the Maero down. Anything more might kill, and she didn't want to do that. She didn't. Bringing her shield back to ready position, she looked to make sure the others were doing all right.

Mette stared at all the water that Aquaria used to wash the Maero away and grinned.

Alright, now that was something to work with!

With a shout, she pushed off from the ground, leaping through air and landing next to the downed group of Maero. She raised her right hand, a ball of water forming in front it before shooting a stream of water with great force directly towards the Maero, hitting as many as she could.

Seeing their brethren felled so easily seemed to weaken the Maero's will to fight, or perhaps they wished to warm their leaders of the heroes. Either way, as The Little Mermaid's jet of water cut off the last three stood and fled, leaving the downed Giants to their fate.

Sea Devil hopped out to the middle of the giants and leaned on her trident, deciding to try another round of diplomacy with the great Surface-Men. "Behold! We have shown our strength!" She snapped open her helmet, showing her great fearsome teeth, large enough to tear off the limbs of these unfortunate fools if she was so inclined. Fortunately for them, she was not. Instead, Aquaria struck her trident against her armored chest with a loud gong noise and extended a three-fingered hand to the most likely-looking of the fallen giants. "But we are stronger together! Tell us of your ancient wounding!

Klara was impressed that Aquaria was still trying to negotiate with the giant, she was still onboard with a potentially (mostly) peaceful resolution. She floated down beside the Deep One, maybe the fact that they looked to least human might work for there advantage.

I’m sure we can come with a solution that it good with everyone!” she added, trying to support her college.

Hopefully it would help that they’d showed exactly what they were capable of already.

The Maero panic slightly as the Deep One leapt after them, proclaiming her intentions to the world. The giants throw themselves to the side as Aquaria emphatically struck her trident against her chest. Pulling themselves away they watched as Klara descended, looking confused at the foreigner's words.

In their own language they grunt to each other briefly, before one, who seems slightly more decorated than the others turns, speaking once more in Te Reo.

"He reo hou ke te korero a nga tangata o te moana. He aha to hiahia?"
