RocketLord Posted January 5, 2022 Author Posted January 5, 2022 @Heritage let's see some initiative rolls!
RocketLord Posted January 5, 2022 Author Posted January 5, 2022 Ghost: 7 T-Rex: 18 Grim goes first due to higher base bonus. 18 - Grimalkin - 1HP - Unharmed 18 - Thesaurus Rex - Unharmed 7 - Ghost - 4HP - Unharmed You're up @Heritage
Heritage Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 DC 16 Reflex save to avoid being caught in the cage!
RocketLord Posted January 6, 2022 Author Posted January 6, 2022 Reflex Save: 10 He's trapped! And he does not like that, so Thesaurus Rex attempts to break the prison! Give me a DC30 TOU save for bamboo cage, using the rank as it's TOU, and then there's these rules for your feedback flaw: Quote You suffer pain when a manifestation of your effect is damaged. This flaw only applies to effects with physical (or apparently physical) manifestations, such as Create Object, Duplication, Illusion, Snare, or Summon, for example. If your power’s manifestation is damaged, make a saving throw against non-lethal damage equal to the attack’s damage, using the manifestation’s Toughness save bonus or power rank in place of your own. For example, if you create a Toughness 12 object and it is attacked for +15 damage, you must make a save against +15 damage with a +12 bonus (the object’s Toughness) in place of your normal Toughness save. I'll wait with Ghost's action for your saves.
Heritage Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 (edited) Toughness save (I think it's +6?): 1d20+6=9 Oh, that's going to hurt! Toughness save vs Feedback: 1d20+6=17 Better, but still very painful, I think. Edit: reroll via Extra Effort and spending an HP to buy off Fatigue: 1d20+6=9 Ugh, so 19, I think? Edited January 6, 2022 by Heritage
RocketLord Posted January 7, 2022 Author Posted January 7, 2022 That's Staggered and Dazed, then! Ghost uses Selective Area for his Friendly Neighborhood Ghost array together with Snare from Ghost with the Most Array, meaning a pair of DC20 Ref saves for Thesaurus Rex. Reflex Save vs. Area: 6 Reflex Save vs. Snare: 10 Fail by 5, bound and helpless, so can only use strength to try to break free. @Heritage you're dazed and can't act, but give me an IC of reaction at least. 18 - Grimalkin - 0HP - Staggered, Dazed 18 - Thesaurus Rex - Unharmed, Bound and Helpless (rank 10 effect) 7 - Ghost - 4HP - Unharmed
RocketLord Posted January 10, 2022 Author Posted January 10, 2022 Thesaurus Rex tries to break free. DC30 TOU save for the snare. TOU save: 14 Gonna spend a HP to reroll that: 24, better. The snare gets an Injury. Ghost is up. Switching Friendly Neighborhood Ghost Array to Insubstantial. Switching Ghost With the Most Array to Damage. Flying in close and attacking: 27 That's a hit. DC25 TOU save for Rex: 17, fail by 8 = Bruise and Daze, and Secondary Effect hits on Ghost's next turn. You're up! 18 - Grimalkin - 0HP - Staggered 18 - Thesaurus Rex - Bruise x1, Dazed, Bound and Helpless (rank 10 effect, Injury x1), DC25 TOU save vs. Damage on Init 7 7 - Ghost - 3HP - Unharmed
RocketLord Posted January 21, 2022 Author Posted January 21, 2022 If you hadn't rolled a 1, that would actually have been a hit. Thesaurus Rex is bound and helpless, which means you get +4 to your attack roll, making it a 16. On top of that, Thesaurus Rex loses his Dodge Bonus, and gets -9 to Defense. Thesaurus Rex clears his daze, and is still bound and helpless. The Secondary Effect TOU save from Ghost's attack hits him, DC25 TOU save: 24, another Bruise. Ghost goes for another damaging attack: 24, that's a hit. DC25 TOU save for Rex: 23, yet another bruise, and secondary effect kicking in on Ghost's turn. You're up! Pretty much anything above a 1 should hit him. 18 - Grimalkin - 0HP - Staggered 18 - Thesaurus Rex - Bruise x3, Bound and Helpless (rank 10 effect, Injury x1), DC25 TOU save vs. Damage on Init 7 7 - Ghost - 3HP - Unharmed
Heritage Posted January 22, 2022 Posted January 22, 2022 Let's see if Grim can bounce back from her poor showing so far. Attack roll: 1d20+13=24 Yes, much better! DC 23 Toughness save
RocketLord Posted January 24, 2022 Author Posted January 24, 2022 That's a hit! TOU save: 23 And he just makes it. Thesaurus Rex tries to break the Snare. That's a DC30 TOU save for the Snare: 28 Well. Injury for the Snare, but Rex is still bound and helpless. DC25 TOU save for Thesaurus on Ghost's turn: 23, another Bruise. Ghost attacks with his Damage effect again: 24 And that's another DC25 TOU save for Thesaurus and a Secondary Effect added: 25 I'm kind of amazed at the rolls I'm making here... Anyway, you're up. 18 - Grimalkin - 0HP - Staggered 18 - Thesaurus Rex - Bruise x4, Bound and Helpless (rank 10 effect, Injury x2), DC25 TOU save vs. Damage on Init 7 7 - Ghost - 3HP - Unharmed
Heritage Posted January 25, 2022 Posted January 25, 2022 Okay, per our discussion in chat, Grim's stunting an attack off her 18PP Morph ability: Drain 10 (Wisdom, Alternate Save [Will]) + Insubstantial 2 (Limited to Nighttime [or any other reasonable limit]) = 18PP Touch attack from Grim: 1d20+12=16 DC 20 Will save
RocketLord Posted January 29, 2022 Author Posted January 29, 2022 That's a hit. DC20 Will Save vs. Will Drain: 15 5 Wisdom drained Thesaurus Rex tries, once again, to break the Snare. DC30 TOU save for the Snare: 12 The snare is broken! Thesaurus Rex gets hit with the DC25 TOU save on Init 7: 28 And he aces that, of course Ghost stunts this power off his Ghost With the Most Array: Healing 10 (Extras: Energizing, Total; Flaws: Limited to others) {30/31} And uses it on Grim. Since it's DC10 Con+Healing rank check to get rid of Staggered, that's an autopass, and Energizing gets rid of Fatigue, though Ghost takes that on. I use a HP to get rid of that instantly, since I'll be fatigued at the start of my next turn. And you're up, no longer staggered or fatigued. 18 - Grimalkin - 0HP - Unharmed 18 - Thesaurus Rex - Bruise x4, 5 Wisdom drained 7 - Ghost - 2HP - Fatigued start of next turn
Heritage Posted January 30, 2022 Posted January 30, 2022 (edited) Let's try a Power Attack. +10 to hit with claws, DC 25 Toughness save Power Attack: 1d20+10=30 Uh, I believe that's a crit Which I told takes the DC up to 30 Edited January 30, 2022 by Heritage
RocketLord Posted February 9, 2022 Author Posted February 9, 2022 That is indeed a crit! TOU save: 14 Fail by more than 15, he's knocked out, and we're out of combat!
