All right, the party's getting started! Let's send another Bludgeoning Blast at Wordsmith. It didn't work before, but now there's a woman to impress!

 

Description DC 22 Blast (Bludgeoning)
Results 1d20+7: 19 [1d20=12]

 

It occurs to me that Grant is exactly the kind of kid to do what he thinks looks cool in a fight, so expect some anime poses.

TOU save: 29

NOPE!

 

Ghost got his Insubstantial active in the Friendly Neighborhood Ghost array.

He dives past everyone else and goes for Cheat Code below, getting up close and attacking him with a Damage effect: 18

That's a miss, but I don't wanna deal with that, so I spend a HP to reroll: 30
And that reroll was worth it, nat 20, so a DC30 TOU save for Cheat Code: 21, bruised and dazed.

Secondary Effect will hit Cheat Code with another DC30 TOU save on Ghost's Initiative in the next turn.

 

Wordsmith shouts a big O and creates an area effect that catches Impact, Chimera and Grimalkin.

@Heritage, @Sophistemon, @Spacefurry: Give me a DC20 Reflex Save vs Area, followed by a DC25/DC20 TOU save, depending on whether you pass the first save or not. Remember that the Evasion feat applies.

 

Then @Spacefurry is next!

You get a bruise, you get a bruise and you get a bruise and a daze!

 

Cheat Code is likewise dazed, so like Chimera, he spends his turn clearing the daze, while realizing that he needs to breathe and can't stay in the ground for too long.

Okay, I'm trying to think of the best way to shut up Wordsmith. Could I power stunt Nullify by creating a gag made of glamour to wrap around his head? Or could Create Object or Snare already do that? Or maybe Paralyze?

Nope, he's just too tough!

 

Cheat Code is hit with another DC30 TOU save on Ghost's turn, and rolls TOU vs. that: 20, he's staggered and dazed!

 

Ghost is gonna take the chance and go for another attack with the damage effect, but let's start off with a Fast Feint, using Skill Mastery with Bluff for a result of 27.

Cheat Code rolling vs. Feint DC27: 29

Well, that didn't work, but Ghost attacks anyway: 27, that's a hit.

Rolling DC25 TOU save for Cheat Code: 11, he's DOWN.

 

Wordsmith is paralyzed and can't do anything, so moving on to @Spacefurry

So a very pissed off Grim is going full Harley Quinn with a conjured mallet (Strike 8 Bludgeoning), and using Power Attack for extra oomph.

 

1d20+5=12

 

So that's a DC 30 Toughness save. WHOMP!

That's closer to a miss than I'd like, but at least I hit. And with some extra oomph, too.

 

I'll hold off on making an IC post until I know whether it should be triumphant or enraged.
