Moira Morley Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Immunity to Nullify and Drain, specifically
Geez3r Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 The only thing I can think of is Immutable from UP, 10 points. You're immune to all boosts, drains, nullifies, and transform effects, whether good or bad. EDIT: Spelling
Moira Morley Posted December 24, 2008 Author Posted December 24, 2008 Immutable looks more like Immunity (alteration effects, trait effects).
Dr Archeville Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Innate power feat. Any effect with it is immune to Drains and Nullifies... and to Boosts. It also only applies to effects that are truly innate, like an elephant's Growth.
Ecalsneerg Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 I think it'd be Immunity 5 for nullify, same for drain. Trait effects are a 5 point immunity.
Sandman XI Posted December 24, 2008 Posted December 24, 2008 Like I told you, there are only 5 "trait effects" (boost, drain, enhanced traits, nullify, super-strength) just take trait effects and limit it to nullify and drain.
Moira Morley Posted December 26, 2008 Author Posted December 26, 2008 If it's only 5 points for 5 powers, then wouldn't it be 1 point a piece?
Heridfel Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 While Enhanced Trait, Super-Strength, and Boost are trait effects, there are few situations in which an Immunity to them is an advantage. In fact, an Immunity to Boost will typically be a disadvantage. This means that the cost would not be reduced, and you'd probably have to make a case for why negative effects are blocked entirely while positive effects can go through normally.
Moira Morley Posted December 31, 2008 Author Posted December 31, 2008 Going with the whole goddess deal. She can't be changed unless she wants to be changed.
Dr Archeville Posted December 31, 2008 Posted December 31, 2008 Goddesses are changed against their will, in mythology and comics. Best bet would seem to be Immutable (a 10-point Immunity), with the Duration changed to Sustained (so she can lower it to be affected by a friendly Boost, but it's automatically lowered if she's KO'd; cost works out to be the same), or Continuous (doubles the cost, but it stays up or down until she wills it otherwise, even if KO'd).
Moira Morley Posted December 31, 2008 Author Posted December 31, 2008 One last question before i decide. Would immunity to ability score drain be cheaper? If so, by how much?
Heridfel Posted January 1, 2009 Posted January 1, 2009 Would it be cheaper than Immutable? Yes, it would be. You wouldn't get much savings over a standard Immunity to Trait effects. Even considering that a Limited flaw would lower the cost from 5 to 3 (rounding up).
