MBCE Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 Lenny looked up at the moonless night sky and rubbed his hands together again for warmth. He had sent out the message for Arrowhawk to meet him here on the Boardwalk to discuss some important business, but he wasn't sure when the bowman would find time to show up. It had been some time since Arrowhawk had busted up the drug house. Lenny was still impressed that he managed to get out of there without losing his head but those heroes were always willing to risk their knecks. Now, Lenny needed Arrowhawk to do a little job for him. Again he looked up at the rooftops expecting to see the hero's silhouette soon.
Ecalsneerg Posted January 5, 2009 Posted January 5, 2009 A shadow flitted across the rooftops; ducking behind chimneytops and diving across alleyways. The Arrowhawk stalked across the boardwalk, one thought in mind. It had an appointment to keep. Dropping from the roof in front of Lenny in a crouch, he quickly rose to his feet. "What do you need, Lenny?"
MBCE Posted January 6, 2009 Author Posted January 6, 2009 Lenny stifled a cry of surprise at teh hero's sudden appearance before him. He had thought he was aware enough of the area to see the masked man's approach but obviously was not. Lenny slowly tookout a cigeratte to give himself a chance to calm down. "Glad you could show, Arrowhawk. I wasn't sure who to turn to and since you did such a nice job of busting up that Casino a while back, I thought you might be interested in doing me a little favor." Lenny looked over at the hero and shifted his feet in the cold night air.
Ecalsneerg Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Arrowhawk met the snitch's gaze. Foot shuffling? Looks nervous. "Seeing as you helped me out, I'll help you out... so long as it's mostly above board, although I'm assuming you know that." The black-clad man stood ready to listen attentively.
MBCE Posted January 7, 2009 Author Posted January 7, 2009 Lenny snorted and threw the bud away into the dark street. "Yeah, it's above board." Lenny looks from side to side checking the street for other people before continuing. "Did you hear about that Warehouse that was hit up in North Bay a while back?"
Ecalsneerg Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 "Was that the yacht holding warehouse? Yeah, I heard of it. The four supervillains attacked it if my sources were correct." Arrowhawk eyed Lenny suspiciously. "Are you connected to the guys who got robbed here?"
MBCE Posted January 17, 2009 Author Posted January 17, 2009 Lenny shook his head, "Not my kind of job. though I do know a little about who they were working for. A Japanese fella that goes by the name of Mr. Yamaguchi hired the bunch for the job. Now, Yamaguchi is just a low level mutt working for someone else who I unfortunately haven't figured out yet. The main problem is what was being stored in that warehouse." Lenny takes out another cigarette and lights it, giving himself time to gather his thoughts. "Weapons. The kind you find on big namers running around the city. Yamaguchi was able to revtrieve only a few of the boxes he wanted, but it was more than enough to get started. Now those weapons have made their way to the streets." Lenny look directly at Arrowhawk. "I need you to get them out of the streets before all hell breaks out."
Ecalsneerg Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Fantastic. High-class hardware out on my streets. Ok then, can't say no to this. Arrowhawk scowled at the revelation. "Done. Give me all you know and I'll start looking into it. I don't want guns like these on my streets." Especially considering very shortly they'll likely be fired at me...
MBCE Posted January 28, 2009 Author Posted January 28, 2009 Lenny nodded his head. "What I know is that the weapons have fallen into the hands of the Skinheads. They hit a friend of mine's place a few months ago. Perhaps you heard of him, Monty Jacobs. He runs a garage in Southside. It wasn't until I started to piece things together." Lenny looked directly at Arrowhawk as he continued. "The hit in North Bay, with the robbery at Monty's got me thinking. It looks like the Skinheads are into some major business. The last piece was when I heard about them trying to take out a truck carrying some very powerful stuff. I don't think they got what they were looking for as one of the super-villains popped up along with some heroes to spoil the job. Southside is where you have to look for answers, Arrowhawk. I'm sure those Skinheads are up to no good."
Ecalsneerg Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 "Skinheads with serious firepower... What could they be up to?" mused Arrowhawk aloud. In league with a supervillain? "I'll go shake up a few guys," growled the dark-clad adventurer, firing a grappling gun and flying up onto the rooftops, breaking into a run as he headed across the rooftops towards his motorbike. Once there, he mounted up and revving the engine, sped off into the night towards Southside, cape streaming out behind the bike as it careered around cars with a practiced ease.
