Dr Archeville Posted January 15, 2009 Posted January 15, 2009 Good, now you just need to start the IC thread. ;)
nareik123 Posted January 17, 2009 Author Posted January 17, 2009 Is your house the Futuristic Fransisco Scaramanga's funhouse? :D
Dr Archeville Posted January 18, 2009 Posted January 18, 2009 *whistles innocently while covering his third nipple* *hides his dwarf manservant*
Dr Archeville Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 Just want to be certain, she's removed her dress and handing it to Doc? Also, your char sheet has an oddity: the link for what she looks like when not wearing the dress goes to http://www.devicepedia.com/
nareik123 Posted January 19, 2009 Author Posted January 19, 2009 She has removed the dancing dress, her old tatty clothes are actually taking its place until she dons it again. And the link has been pointed out, I never got round to changing it.
Dr Archeville Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Lullaby trembles as she looks around at the lab. "With respect Doctor, I haven't robots before. Its all very scary" Lullaby trembled. I think you're missing a word there, nareik.
Dr Archeville Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 "Careful Doctor!" Zallora warned, "Gabriellor's suit take over you if you lay a single bit of flesh, use gloves or something to make sure you're not touching the dancing dress.... .... he's been handling it with his bare hands the entire time.
Dr Archeville Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 Ummm... how/why? There's absolutely nothing anywhere on Lullaby's char sheet indicating any sort of "takes over someone who touches it" ability (certainly no DC for a Will save to resist the take over). Is this something that's been mentioned or occurred anywhere in any of the threads she's been in?
nareik123 Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 Fair enough. It's just a descriptor how Lullaby dons the dress. Gabriellor does ask when you take the dress. Note to self: Add "Will save to resist" on device.
Dr Archeville Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 If Lullaby's dress contains some spirit that possesses anyone wearing or even touching it, it's more than just a Hard to Lose device which anyone can wear and use (which is what it's statted as now). It's... well, my first inclination is to say it's a Device with Linked Sidekick feat, the Sidekick being Gabriellor. Or maybe some Gestalt-like build.
nareik123 Posted February 10, 2009 Author Posted February 10, 2009 Hmm, it seems like a good idea. Problem is, lack of PP.
Moira Morley Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 This looks like a job for what I've learned is called Point Shifting :P
nareik123 Posted February 12, 2009 Author Posted February 12, 2009 Damn it, sorry Archville, I noticed that post was slightly incorrect. Lullaby isn't supposed to don it, she was supposed to help Archville fit it.
Dr Archeville Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 Alright, now here's a question for ya: what is the outfit made of? It's you character, your decision. Normal cottons and silks which were enhanced via magic? Or something entirely and inherently magical, like spun moonbeams?
nareik123 Posted February 20, 2009 Author Posted February 20, 2009 It was crafted as a magical device, so always has been and always will be magical.
Dr Archeville Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 That doesn't really answer my question. Excalibur was crafted as a magical device, but a mundane analysis would tell you it's steel, iron and carbon and some other elements. On the other hand, Spawn's chains and cloak are completely non-natural (they're actually a symbiote from Hell) and so a scientific analysis would yield either nothing useful or nothing that made any sense.
nareik123 Posted February 21, 2009 Author Posted February 21, 2009 Sorry, I got back from a week away of wearing work and I am shattered. Can I reply later?
nareik123 Posted February 22, 2009 Author Posted February 22, 2009 The dress itself is made of exotic silks from some of the uncommonly travelled places of the world. The dress is be saturated in magical power, although nobody can tell whether this magical power came from sorcery or magic. It is also very difficult to identify that Gabriellor lives in the dress without actually wearing it, or touching it. From visual looks, its pretty much a (Rather strange, which must be admitted) dancing suit.
