That is a miss, but the Nauseate Aura hits, so rolling: 26, he keeps his lunch down.

Well, he does have a 50% miss chance, but will go with the sure thing of spending a HP.


He will move a short distance away, and use Temporal Sedation (Stun attack), only targeting the Rex. He gets a natural 20 for 26 on the attack roll!


So with the +5 for the critical, that is a DC 25 Will save vs the Stun.

Poor Thesaurus Rex rolls a 1, for total 6, so you knock him out.

 

And we're out of combat.

 

Quicker than I expected, but oh well, we're not done

Just in case it provides any information -

 

-IR vision on the Kid. Is the child the correct temperature? or is it a nuclear bomb enchanted with Vulcan magic?

The kid appears to be the correct temperature of a kid.

 

The tablet appears to be a tablet, but with a roll that high, I'll add in something extra: Booting it up, it seems to control some other piece of extra technology that is at least labelled as an Anti-Matter Generator.

Once at the manhole cover, she is starting to become hotter. It seems to come from her solar plexus and slowly spread from there.

An amazing 6 from Baz. 

 

For reference he has

 

low light vision, infravision, ultravision (for visual)

Tremorsense and Tactile detect radiation (tactile)

And scent (acute olfactory)

 

So I suppose they may pick up something "barn door" / cant fail to notice.

Baz sees nothing, but Parker and Lawrence notice a secret door in the brick wall. 

 

There's a hidden scanner behind a wall next to it, the kind you might use with a key card.

Timeout is going to make another Kn: Technology check as he spends a bit of time rapidly (thanks to Quickness 6) taking 20 to examine (from a distance) the stuff in the lab. He gets a 30 on the Kn: Technology check!

The equipment in the lab seems designed to accelerate the creation and growth of whatever it is that the doctor is making. It seems like they might be used to create artificial beings.
