Moira Morley Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 I acknowledge my writing skills are subpar. If you have any suggestions, please suggest :P
Avenger Assembled Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Good to see the thread up and running, Divine. I'll post here later today. In the meantime, you may or may not want to put up the notice that it's a closed thread. 8-)
Moira Morley Posted January 18, 2009 Author Posted January 18, 2009 By the way, that was meant for more of a disguised way of asking Jack "Who are you?"
Avenger Assembled Posted January 19, 2009 Posted January 19, 2009 This would be, hmm, an interesting time to make a Notice or Sense Motive check.
Moira Morley Posted January 20, 2009 Author Posted January 20, 2009 Notice and Sense Motive (1d20=7, 1d20=9) Miss Social can't see the forest for the trees :P
Avenger Assembled Posted January 20, 2009 Posted January 20, 2009 Nothing to see here, folks! We're probably ready to move to the Bad Guys attack portion of the evening, if you want to wrap up your opener.
Moira Morley Posted January 21, 2009 Author Posted January 21, 2009 I just noticed, no designated drivers? And even the bartender's out? Doesn't bother me (as it helps with the story), I think it's funny though.
Avenger Assembled Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Divine's friends are drunks! No need to say it was just in the booze; it could have been in the food, too, or something in the air.
Avenger Assembled Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Okay, make a Fort save and roll for initiative.
Moira Morley Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 Fort save and initiative (1d20+13=17, 1d20=14)
Avenger Assembled Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 Jack's initiative (14) Group 1 (vs Jack) (23) Group 2 (vs Moira) (8)
Moira Morley Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 What was the fort save for? Did I pass or fail?
Avenger Assembled Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 you passed the dazzle with flying colors. Good thing they didn't come loaded for superhuman bear! I'll let you post Moira's reaction to all this before I start with the first round of combat.
Moira Morley Posted January 22, 2009 Author Posted January 22, 2009 Last question before I post, the dazzle was for the lights suddenly flashing right? Are there still lights on out there or is it dark again?
Avenger Assembled Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 The once-familiar bar is lit only by the terrible glares of the spotlights, casting it into a bizarre combination of bright light and truly black shadows. Since you passed the Fort save, you can see okay; it's just very...evocative.
Avenger Assembled Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 1 HP spent to temporarily acquire Takedown Attack. Moira, you're up!
Moira Morley Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 Rules Question: what would be the procedure for grabbing two of their heads and knocking them together or taking one of their rifles (disarm, that I know) and swinging it in an arc at all three of them?
Avenger Assembled Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Multiple attacks on minions in the same round is a function of the Takedown Attack feat. You should be able to do the first one easily enough, though; it's a full-round action to hit one guy, grab him, then chuck him at another one.
Moira Morley Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 Another rules question before I post (as it'll affect what i do): You can take 10 on minions with attack rolls, does that mean only fist-to-face attacks? Also, do I control the guys after me or do you?
Avenger Assembled Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 You can take 10 when you're attacking minions, fist-to-face or otherwise. And so far I think I've done OK running the minions; these are just low-level goons in body armor with shock prods using a slightly modified soldier template. I have a feeling Moira will take them down pretty easy. If you want to, though, lemme know!
Moira Morley Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 That's an intimidate check to the guys in fron of her and if the other guys can see/hear her them too, result of 40 :)
Moira Morley Posted January 24, 2009 Author Posted January 24, 2009 You better believe it So how are they situated? are they still within arms reach?
Avenger Assembled Posted January 24, 2009 Posted January 24, 2009 The two with handguns are about five feet away from Moira, and about five feet apart from each other. The radio guy is about five feet further back.
Moira Morley Posted January 24, 2009 Author Posted January 24, 2009 Now comes the hard part, do I waste HP on takedown attack (if I do how long do I keep it?) or potentially endanger one of my friend's lives :(
