ARCHER II

 

Cannonballs flying everywhere, the guy with the sword and everything else going on... this is not how Connor expected the evening to go. 

 

The man with the golden aura is still struggling, then the woman and the kid with the sword. Magic sword, probably. And the cannonballs. He has to get through to them, but he has to take down that guy first, before he actually shows what he can do.

 

This time, he flips out from his position around the corner, jumping towards the nearby wall and pushing off it. Mid-air, he sends another barrage of arrows flying towards the man, before he lands in the hallway, now fully out in the open.

The girl seemed quite surprised at Sever's impressive physical resistance, as the two were locked up. But the big guy- Peter-, was not getting to have a good day at all. As he once more slowly rose to his feet, he is once more struck by a massive barrage of arrows. He's more pincushion then man now, wobbling on his feet.

 

"You...stupid...Bow...guy." His golden aura sputters, then goes out, and he falls over backwards, unconscious.

 

"Peter!? Damn it Peter! You're so worthless!" The girl snarled at the buff guy- Peter-, as she realized she was quite alone now. "Stupid brute can't do anything right!" she cursed again. "Fine, you heroes! Let's see if I can't take you both on myself!"

 

Meanwhile, outside, the ancient conquistador was also swearing, but his was in ancient, formal Spanish, as he was attempting to extricate himself from Chimera's biomechanical grasp. There were many swear words in an old language being thrown at the Biomechanical heroine!

Chimera

 

Red tinged the world as Chimera fell upon the possessed man. Following her initial attack, she felt him struggle under her. He almost slipped free of her but her new rage pushed her and she managed to keep her grip on him.

 

“I said, GIVE IT BACK!”

She roared. She was honestly beginning to scare herself, but she just couldn’t seem to control herself as she pulled back and slammed the man’s head into the pavement again.

 

Why did she even want it back? I felt wrong in every way. But something driving her anger. Hopefully it wasn’t going to drive her right over an edge she couldn’t come back from.

Sever didn't bother evading this time. He knew she was starting to get used to his moves. Plus, she was already pretty cut up. He flipped his sword and gripped the blade and the hilt. He decided to try something brand new that he saw in videos and in sword fighting manuals.

 

He slammed the pommel of his sword into her stomach. He could feel the breath catch in her body, and knew she was down. "Looks like you can't take us both down."

 

He suddenly realized there was that weird Conquistador guy outside, and ran towards the exit so he could help with the fight in case he needed to. He made it outside, and paused to see the strange fight that was happening.

With the blow to her stomach, Vicki's flames sputtered out in an instant and she slumped over on top of her compatriot, equally unconcious as he had been rendered just a few seconds before.

 

Meanwhile, Chimera's tearing, wrenching grips were freeing the Conquistador from his summoned armor, sending ghostly plates of mail scattering across the ground. Then, after slamming his face into the pavement, something happened;

 

The coins started flying out of him.

 

With each smash of his head into the pavement, the armor protecting him shattered and splintered, and golden coins fell out of his body like he was a video game character, scattering them across the pavement with a mischevious twinkling. The Conquistador was still cursing and yelling at the beast even as he was fully grappled and being beaten like a pinata, his fury almost matching the creature that currently had a hold on him.

Both go down and... the kid with the sword starts running away. Now what? More bad guys or something like that?

 

Connor stares after him for a moment, then decides to take off running into the next room, where all the Black Snakes has left, and outside... is that a woman in some kind of armor beating up a guy dressed like a conquistador? 

 

Great. 

 

With no idea about who here is doing what, Connor throws himself out the window, shooting a line arrow out to swing down onto the ground, where he rolls and lands, an arrow already nocked and aimed at the woman and the man.

 

"Alright... who wanna tell me who the bad guy here is before I blow you both to kingdom come?"

Chimera

 

Under her, the possessed man struggled but she was overwhelming him. The sound of coins bouncing across the pavement was a faint background noise as Chimera pulled back to smash the man again.

 

Gods, was she actually going to kill this poor man out of blind rage?!

What had she become?

 

Suddenly, Chimera froze mid strike… she heard it… she heard them.

 

They were calling to her as the clinked and fell to the ground. Calling to the gold still lacing through the symbiote. The coins. She had to grab them. Get them before someone else did.

 

Someone called out to her, but it didn’t matter.

 

Chimera abandoned the possessed man in  broken armor to quickly begin gathering up the fallen coins. Gathering up her precious gold to reclaim it.
