Thevshi Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Multi-Girl Bernadette was also a bit surprised as Neko suddenly took off, dropping down to all fours. As she started alongside Charlie, she shook her head at his question. "No, this isn' normal." She replied, a slight sense of worry at seeing Neko’s intense reaction. In some ways it reminded the redhead of how Neko had reacted to Quirk using a highly inaccurate version of Japan's past in the "video game" he had placed them in months ago, only this time dialed up to eleven. Leaping outside, Bernadette is easily able to catch back up with her friend and roommate, putting on her communicator as she went to better stay in contact with Charlie if needed. As she ran, the Irish teen had her duplicates escort Summer and the other members of the band back to the hotel, just to be sure they were out of harm's way.
Spacefurry Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Paper Leon started a little at Neko’s sudden declaration that she had found the catboy. He glanced back at Stormcrow as he confirmed. He made no motion to pull away as the energy cracked around her. Her posture was different then he’d ever noticed before, but he was there to support her and he was on his feet with her in an instant. “Let’s do this!” He was only a beat behind Neko as she started to run. Multi-Girl was right along beside him as they followed her, and he was sure if he glanced around he would spot Stormcrow too. His attention was fully on his girlfriend as they ran along the street, dodging people that couldn’t get out of their way fast enough.
RocketLord Posted December 11, 2024 Author Posted December 11, 2024 GM The sight of a crazed catgirl in the streets are enough to give pause to anyone that gets too close, with two other people following her . Above, Stormcrow leaps from rooftop to rooftop, as they all get closer and closer to the tall building. The window far above is still open, but the cats refuse to enter, and the feed from Stormcrow's drone disappears before he can see anything inside. Standing at the foot of the building, the question is how they will enter. Try to scale the building on the outside, go through the inside, or something else?
Avenger Assembled Posted December 11, 2024 Posted December 11, 2024 Neko Musume I When she felt her cats strike against the building's wards, Neko paused in a dark alley to dismiss them. There was no point in feeling them suffer - and the moment gave her time to calm down. The sparking witchfire around her seemed to fade back to the realms from which it had come, her tails hanging low but no longer thrashing as the others joined her. "The building is shielded," she hissed, pacing back and forth. "So I can't make them run outside. I know it is a trap. But their shields aren't stronger than me," she added, baring her pointed nails. "But I need your help," she told the others. "I need your help to get in there, and find them, and make them tell me-." she was getting herself worked up again.
RocketLord Posted December 12, 2024 Author Posted December 12, 2024 The STORMCROW Neko's getting all worked up. Charlie gets it, at least from an intellectual perspective. He doesn't have some dark and terrible past, but he's been around Alek and others enough to see where this is going. Dropping down from the rooftops, he lands next to the rest of the group, his cape wrapped around him. "Neko. Breathe for a sec." If she goes off like this once they're inside, they're all going to be in trouble. "We'll get inside, we'll find him and get what you need, but we have no idea what's going on in there. Your cats won't go in, and I lost my drone too, so either they blocked the feed or they found it. No matter what, it means they're ready." Stormcrow pauses and looks up for a moment. It's far up. He can get there, he's got the tool, but they all need to get up there, together. "Paper, can you create something strong enough to carry us all up there?" He frowns for a moment. He really doesn't want to sneak or fight his way through an entire building that will either all turn out to be random office workers or ninjas if he can help it.
Spacefurry Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Paper Paper skidded to a stop beside Neko. He looked up at the building thoughtfully. When Neko sounded like she was getting worked up again he stepped closer and put a hand on her shoulder. “It’s okay, love.” He said gently. “Stormy’s right, we’ll get in there and we’ll get the info, and anything else we need. He turns her to face him, and puts his real hand on her cheek. “If you rush in there angry like this, you’re letting them win. You’re better than that. You’re stronger than them.” He glances back at Stormcrow and nods. “I can get us up there.” And looks back at Neko and smiles lovingly. “And they might think they are, but they could never be ready for us.” He gives Neko a knowing grin. “Let’s show them how strong you are. How strong we are.” He takes her hand in his and squeezes it.
Thevshi Posted December 12, 2024 Posted December 12, 2024 Multi-Girl Bernadette stood with the others, looking over at the building their target had disappeared into. The redhead had briefly stopped along the way to change into her costume, able to quickly catch back up with the others. She smirked slightly as Neko mentioned is likely being a trap. "Then it is like Quirk's little castle in his dumb game he had us play." The Irish teen replied. "We kicked the butts of all the ninjas an' other traps he had in there, I expect we can do so again, especially with Storm and Paper with us." She added with a small smile. Of course, there was the concern that Quirk's little game was…just that a game, where this was reality, and their enemy likely much more lethal. But, there was no way Neko was not going to going in, but Charlie was right, no sense in rushing in too unprepared.
RocketLord Posted December 13, 2024 Author Posted December 13, 2024 GM Good to his word, Paper summons paper to lift the group up. His creation raises quickly towards top of the building, stopping just outside the open window, close enough that the group can easily enter. Everything is dark inside. Neko can smell the Shinobi from in there. Not just a scent left behind, but that he is actually there. There is another scent, a human. Whoever are in there, they are silent.
Avenger Assembled Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 Neko Musume The time rising up in Leon's paper airplane (as Neko has always thought of it, even when that's not right) has given Neko time to calm herself - almost. She looks downright human as she steps off the plane, tails hanging low behind her, her now-bare feet clicking audibly against the floor. She reaches out with power, testing herself against whatever wards lie inside this building that kept out her cats, and reaches out with her voice. In an eerie, wailing yowl, she calls " ""The farm cat Makes Buddha's lap A pillow!"" "I know you are here!"
Thevshi Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Multi-Girl As they reached the inside of the building, Bernadette dropped down behind Neko. While the redhead could have tried to make use of the shadows, while Neko moved forward without any attempt at stealth, she decided not to, moving up to be a short distance behind her roommate and off to one side. If she and Neko drew the main focus, it might give Leon and Charlie an opportunity to make use of the shadows for stealth, even though the enemy was likely expecting them. Whatever the case, the Irish teen turned to study the darkness to the left, preparing herself to unleash more of her duplicates should an attack come.
RocketLord Posted December 29, 2024 Author Posted December 29, 2024 The STORMCROW Charlie doesn't like this. They're moving in without knowing anything about what's going on. An open window doesn't really allow for much in the way of stealth, especially not with Neko just stepping in like that, announcing herself. Bernie follows, leaving him and Leon outside. They know they're there. Of course they do. There's little point to stealth here, at least not right away. Reaching into his belt, he palms a certain gadget, before looking at Leon. "Get ready to hit everything in there on my mark, if we need to. We all stick close, you do a wide wave, alright?" Jumping off the paper platform, he moves inside, sticking back, moving in the darkness as best as he can.
RocketLord Posted December 29, 2024 Author Posted December 29, 2024 GM Once they are all inside, the light turns on, flooding the room with light, making any attempt at stealth all but impossible. For a moment, it is blinding, before they all regain the vision. They find themselves in a large officem, decorated with historic Japanese bladed weapons of all sorts, mounted in displays on the walls and on tables. Stormcrow's drone is one the floor, a shuriken embedded in it. Opposite the window where they entered is a desk. The Shinobi that they followed stands behind it, obviously still hurt from the fight, but trying to hide it. A man with short black hair with streaks of grey sits in a large ornamental chair behind the desk. He is dressed in a deep red business suit, a color that one might be tempted to call it crimson. "<Ah. I see that you do, Neko,>" the man says in Japanese, his hands folded in front of him on the table. A katana lies on the table, well within reach. "<It seems that the traitor has returned. Do you come to beg forgiveness, and to serve your masters once again? To make amends for your cowardice?>"
Avenger Assembled Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 Neko Musume Neko stared at the man, her tails thrashing behind her, and looked at her nails before looking away altogether. "<What is this?>" she demanded of Shinobi, keeping her pressure on the one like her and not like this man who she had never met but whose foul soul she could practically smell. "<Is this what you bow to? Some bloodless man-thing?>" She turned the word into a scornful laugh as she paced the room, making big, theatrical gestures and raising her voice as loudly as she could without screaming. "<Katana at least could ape the manners of a warrior of legend, but this is just a foreigner with a Japanese face! Will he make you his furry mascot to sell his wares to fat Korean children?>" she taunted. As she spoke, Ladybug took off, the little drone rapidly zipping around her head as she went on, "<What do you even do here?>" she demanded. "<Sit in chairs made in a factory? Stare at screens made by Chinese?>" she added with a sharp sneer. "<I may use their technology and wear their clothes, but I am not their slave! I am their master! They give me their dollars, and I give them nothing that matters.>" She snapped a finger and pointed at Shinobi's master. "<What is your name? How do you come to command nekomata and bakeneko?>" She wasn't asking anyone here about what mattered, of course - but then she'd already established that part of the deal.
RocketLord Posted December 30, 2024 Author Posted December 30, 2024 The STORMCROW Stormcrow takes the chance. The moment that the Shinobi and his master are distracted by Neko's speech, he is simply gone. One moment he is standing there, the next he has seemingly disappeared, at least as well as any ninja. Wherever he is hiding, Charlie thanks Alek for the training he put him through, even that damn vest he made him wear. Never could've done this otherwise.
Spacefurry Posted 9 hours ago Posted 9 hours ago Paper Neko and Berni entered the building ahead of the boys, leaving them to bring up the rear. On 12/29/2024 at 5:02 PM, RocketLord said: The STORMCROW "Get ready to hit everything in there on my mark, if we need to. We all stick close, you do a wide wave, alright?" He gave Charlie a quick nod. “No prob.” Even as he followed through the window the paper plane collapsed. The paper swarming around into his hands. Instinctively Leon looked for the shadows- He growled, blinking back the blinding lights after they flared to life. Once he could see clearly again, he glared at the oldered man sitting behind the desk. He wanted to lash out, to stand beside his love. But he knew her well enough, she was being overly confrontational for her on purpose. Paper shot a glance towards where Stormcrow had been. Show off He could feel the paper in his fingers twitching in anticipation. His eyes swiftly swept over the room. Exits. Cover. Lines of attack. And of course, any other paper in the room.
