Avenger Assembled Posted March 5 Posted March 5 The OOC! @RocketLord@Thevshi@Kaede Kimura@Poncho@Dracostern
Avenger Assembled Posted March 14 Author Posted March 14 Everybody give me a Notice check - or any other rolls you think are applicable!
Kaede Kimura Posted March 14 Posted March 14 1d20-1 = 9 for Vueriz. If applicable she has UV Vision, Radiation Awareness and can't see red (it looks black to her.)
RocketLord Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Notice: 20 Parker also has this super sense: Super-Senses 8 (Distance Sense, Spatial Awareness [Sense Type: Mental, Extras: Accurate, Acute, Extended 2 [Range Increment x100], Radius, Ranged]) [8PP] (Descriptors: Spatial Senses, Enhanced Senses, Mutation, Space/Spatial, Z-Space) which should basically make him able to feel where everything around him.
Dracostern Posted March 14 Posted March 14 Notice Rolls! Daniel: 18 Iris: 28 Oh no their Notice was too good
Avenger Assembled Posted March 16 Author Posted March 16 Iris and Lawrence: Iris can get a shadow of intent from the Deep One tribe as they go about their work. These are beings of a fierce pride and clannishness, driven by a need to survive and see their people thrive. You get an impression of fear and satisfaction, of terrible adversity recently overcome with fantastic difficulty, and of bonds among them as close as any you can imagine. There is about them a strange sense of alien. If they were human, you'd say they have no empathy, but that's not quite right either - it's as if they don't value lives the way you do. Even their own. Lawrence is able to get a pretty good look at the Deep One art. It's hard to tell from crude stick figures but you detect a narrative: Deep Ones vs. sea creatures + Deep Ones vs. humanoids. The Deep Ones eat the sea creatures and sometimes the humanoids, but usually seem to be running from them. A larger-than-life frog in power armor, surrounded by tentacles, hovering over the tribe. Now it's just Deep Ones vs. sea creatures - and the humanoids are on the outside, arranged in a circle around them. Daniel and Parker: You see the bones. So many of them. That certainly is a dead whale isn't it! Parker can tell there are more Deep Ones here, down deep in the underwater parts of the oil rig, perhaps twice as many as you can see above working on the whale. You get the impression the tribe doesn't come up here much; at least not into the upper parts of the rig where you are. They certainly make their art, though - most of which looks bizarre and vaguely obscene, full of squatting idols and leering frog faces. Vueriz and Michael: The smell is bad. The art is weird. Vueriz, they are singing a song that goes a little something like this: https://youtu.be/cn73Wtem0No?t=133
Kaede Kimura Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Y'know, I clicked the link expecting the bass drums and chanting that Lovecraft inspired music tends towards. I was so very wrong. And honestly I think I'm more concerned. Also I did forget that Vueriz's mask has a little enhancement to her sense of smell, adding Analytical to it (if that would add anything)
Avenger Assembled Posted March 23 Author Posted March 23 Go ahead and make an interaction skill check - or Perform, if you are demonstrating your strength to the tribe. You may also make a Notice check if you like. Or have an HP for failing it, up to you. =D
Kaede Kimura Posted March 23 Posted March 23 I'll take the Hero Point for the Notice check, rather than embarrass Vueriz by exposing her -1 to Wis skills again. I think the appropriate skill for demonstrating her 'strength' without any gadgets should obviously be Bluff! 1d20+5 = 22, not bad to be honest.
Thevshi Posted March 24 Posted March 24 Well, Lawrence will also try Bluff, and rolls about as bad as he can, only getting a 13 He gets a 22 on his notice check though. I was going to have him activate his Cosmic Awareness super sense and study the area around them for any cosmic energy and such as part of his "show" of power.
Poncho Posted March 24 Posted March 24 give me the HP! Diplomacy: 1d20+12: 32 [1d20=20] Oooh, natural 20 on the Diplomacy.
Avenger Assembled Posted March 28 Author Posted March 28 okay, go ahead and post IC as you like, guys.
Avenger Assembled Posted March 29 Author Posted March 29 @Thevshi that's correct! @Dracostern: the Deep Ones have appeared, climbing up onto the platform, and Aquaria has encouraged everyone to prove themselves with feats of strength or power! People are making their checks to see how impressive they are - and if they notice anything in particular.
RocketLord Posted March 30 Posted March 30 Well, with no Perform, Parker will try to lift something heavy near them, if there's something he can lift with everything put into Strength, at less than 51.2 tons. Anything usable nearby @Avenger Assembled? And a Notice roll, since you asked: 23
Avenger Assembled Posted April 8 Author Posted April 8 oh, feel free to add to the scenery if you like! there's all kinds of rusted-out oil rig machinery still around, even though the Deep Ones have cleared some of it out or colonized the rest of it. I'll go ahead and start moving us after you go, RL.
Kaede Kimura Posted April 26 Posted April 26 (edited) Okay! Vueriz is gonna spend a Hero Point to jury-rig a device with powers as follows: Create Object 8 (Forcefield Projector; Extras: Impervious; Feats: Progression 3 [50ft. Cubes], Stationary; Flaws: Duration [Concentration], Limited [Domes]) [12PP] Essentially the idea is that she will be able to use it to project a shield to protect people from incoming attacks. The device will take 12 rounds (1 minute, 12 seconds) and requires a DC27 Craftcheck. Is the power acceptable and what type of Craft would you feel is appropriate AA? Edited May 10 by Kaede Kimura
Avenger Assembled Posted April 27 Author Posted April 27 That will work! And it sounds like Electronic, unless you're using the oil rig itself (which would be Structural) or somehow doing it analog - which would be mechanical.
Kaede Kimura Posted April 29 Posted April 29 Sweet, Electronic was what I was hoping for lol, figured she'd be taking apart some of the defunct machinery for wires and components. 1d20+26 = 42
Avenger Assembled Posted May 9 Author Posted May 9 That will let you put a electrified dome around the oil rig! better warn the Deep Ones about it though.
Kaede Kimura Posted May 10 Posted May 10 Ah it should be slightly lower since she doesn't have tools. I'm sure that effects the outcome greatly, otherwise sounds good.
