Shadowborne 

 

Muirne watched the melee continue to evolve with narrowed eyes. She couldn't tell where Vik was in the fog, a fact that irked her when it came to knowing how to keep people safe.

 

Then the fog receded as Luke laid Purple Haze low with a mighty strike. She sighed in relief as she saw her friends were safe, but focused again quickly. The biker guys were going to be able to fight better now that they could see.

 

That she could do something about. She jumped from the roof, catching onto a light post with an extended arm to swing between two of them, and then cast a tendril of cursed shadow to lash at the pair. It caught one full in the face, while the other nearly dodged. Still however the otherworldly darkness snatched the light from their eyes. She skidded to a stop between the blinded men, shield and spear ready.

Multi-Girl

 

Bernadette had been moving carefully into the fog created by Purple Haze, trying to see if she could pinpoint one of the gang members from the noise, but it was not looking good. Her duplicate similarly been trying to find a new target after knocking Born Loser off into the fog.

 

And then the fog cleared, the two redheads blinking slightly as their vision readjusted, and then they both focused on the gang member known as Buddy. The original Bernadette rushed forward first, quickly closing the distance with him. But she rushed her attack, swinging a right hook that was way too telegraphed, allowing Buddy to easily step back and avoid it.

 

But even as the Irish teen muttered in frustration, her duplicate closed the distance as well, leaping up to try to deliver a knee to the side of Buddy's head….

The STORMCROW

 

Two down, four to go... and Charlie honestly isn't sure about which one is the most dangerous. All of them can affect wide areas, but Angel and Buddy can outright attack just by looking at them...

 

"Shadowborne, keep the guy in the skull mask from being able to see us!" That should keep that in check, at least. 

 

"Multi-Girl, Ghule! Focus on the guy with the bad hygiene, knock him down before he gets a chance to do anything!" He doesn't need to see them to do his thing. They need to take them down before he drains them.

 

Leon is doing fine, fighting Scarlet Mist and keeping her contained. "Paper, keep it up! You got her!"

 

The bald guy is the least of their problems, and Muirne is gonna need help in case Angel regains his vision.  "Nightscale, help Shadowborne and take down skull mask guy, he can't be allowed to see us!"

Cueball is clearly frustrated, and he shouts in even greater frustration when Shadowborne's dark tendril strikes him in the eyes. He curses loudly, unable to see, as he stumbles around.

 

Shapes. Some dark shapes. He should be fine if he attacks the girls, right? Smaller shapes. And so what, if he gets Buddy, Angel or the Loser, anyway? Teach them to get in his way.

 

With a roar, he swings his axe and... misses Ghule by a wide margin.

 

It's not Cueball's day.

Vik nodded as she ducked Cueball's axe easily. Her training was starting to pay off! As she dashed towards Bernie and Buddy, she gave Cueball a rude gesture. "Sure thing, Stormcrow. But I don't think any of these guys have great hygiene..."

 

"Multi-Girl, I've got you!" she shouted as she leapt towards Buddy. She vaulted over his shoulders and landed in front of him, fists out. "Ugh," she said, now realizing what Charlie meant by 'bad hygiene'. "Dude, you're just plain nasty. I mean, for real. You're like used high school jock strap nasty. Like a sewer rat and a skunk's lovechild nasty. Anyway..."

 

She pulled back her arm, and a swirling aura of dark necromantic energy covered her body.. Vik's eyes became a milky white as she channeled power through her body, and she gritted her teeth with concentration. She then struck with full force, shouting out a warrior's cry. As she did, a multitude skeletal arms emerged from the energy, striking towards Buddy in a succession of quick blows. "Take that, you Evel Knievel wannabe a$$hole!"

Paper 

 

Paper felt the rush of air pass him as he barely managed to slip past the onrushing red mist. He smirked at Scarlet and as he did so.

 

Straightening, he spread his hands.

“Is that the best you got? No wonder you keep your brother around, he makes you look better by comparison.”

He caught a glimpse of Nightscale as he bathed Haze in magical flames, leaving a golden statue to fall to the ground.

“Huh, will you look at that, guess who who just went down like a b*tch?”

Paper cocked his head.

“Guess he’s actually worth something now. Maybe you can pawn him to cover bail.”

He snickered.

“Though I doubt any judge in their right mind would grant you guys bail. Either way, let’s end this.”

 

“Next time you talk to your brother, tell him I said: ‘Like a b*tch.’”

Paper grinned and quickly brought his hands together in a clap. On cue, a pair of giant paper hands that used to be a swarm of birds grab for Scarlet Mist in an attempt to encase her.

"No! No, you bastard!" Scarlet Mist screams as the hands begin to close in around her. She tries to move, tries to get out of the way, but she's distracted by what Nightscale is doing to her brother, and they close in around her.

 

All that can be heard from inside the paper hands are incoherent screaming, as Scarlet Mist begins to move around inside, ripping and tearing at the hands.

 

Angel blinks, shakes his head. The blank gunk in his eyes makes it impossible to see. Makes it impossible to get his bearings. He can hear that Buddy is going down. And those damn smoke brats, too. Who the hell are these kids? How are they handling them this easily?

 

"Cueball! Slash them already!" 

 

He can't see. If he could just see, then...
