Thevshi Posted September 23 Author Posted September 23 @FlyingFresh It would be the same number (given the need to place the center where it won't cover any of the others).
FlyingFresh Posted September 23 Posted September 23 Okay, he will do that then. Rank 8 burst area Emotion Control (despair obly) 80' radius. Just so he doesn't darken out too much of the Combat area, he'll dial down the obscure effect to Rank 3, to create a 25' Radius Tethered visual Obscure (darkness), centered on him.
Thevshi Posted September 23 Author Posted September 23 @FlyingFresh The Troopers: three make their saves, the other seven are subject to Despair. Tough Aliens: both fail, so are subject to Despair. Tough Alien LT: also fails.
FlyingFresh Posted September 23 Posted September 23 (edited) Probably should have mentioned, if any of the failed will checks are by 10 or more (total Roll of 8), they are so overcome with despair that they take no actions. Otherwise, it's just -2 to attack rolls, defense, and checks. Unless minion rules somehow come into play, I guess. Edited September 23 by FlyingFresh Thought of something
Lone_Star Posted September 24 Posted September 24 Owen is going to fly through the middle of the group, and use Sap Kinetic Energy (Paralyze) in the middle of the group, hopefully allowing Stormchild to have an easier target. Owen got a 16, hopefully that's enough!
Thevshi Posted September 25 Author Posted September 25 @Lone_Star A couple issues (You need to link Prime Mover's sheet in your signature); First, Stormchild flew high up into the air. Paralyze is a touch attach and you did not buy it as Ranged, meaning the targeted area burst is centered around Owen, so he could not fly up to Stormchild and have it go off away from him. A second issue, somehow we let the power get through approval with an error, it is not built correctly. It has too many extras (as you have it now, it would cost 40 PP, not 30), so you likely need to drop the Selective extra (or area).
Lone_Star Posted September 25 Posted September 25 @Thevshi Okay, that’s a good point! Please feel free to move on and I’ll edit my post soon to reflect Owen being in the middle of the troops. I’ll put in an edit to remove Selective, but keep Targeted Burst Area.
Thevshi Posted October 1 Author Posted October 1 Okay, sorry for the delay, moving things forward again. @Lone_Star Will say Owen is able to get 6 troopers, a tough alien and the other Lieutenant in his area attack. The attack roll hits all but the Lieutenant. DC 25 toughness saves: Troopers: all fail and are out. Tough Alien: 15, so also out.
Thevshi Posted October 1 Author Posted October 1 Okay, the two fighters will engage Stormchild, both hit with the fighters' blasters. @EternalPhoenix that is two DC 25 toughness saves for Stormchild. One of the Lt's will go after Owen, 20, @Lone_Star that is a DC 23 toughness save for Prime Mover. The other Lt (who has a penalty from the despair) will go after Serendipity. 16 (I forgot to apply the -2 penalty), so that is a miss. @EternalPhoenix Serendipity is up!
EternalPhoenix Posted October 1 Posted October 1 Are those Toughness saves for the fall? Because Prime Mover used a Paralyze on flying foes. Or so I thought.
Thevshi Posted October 1 Author Posted October 1 @EternalPhoenix No, he focused on the troops on the ground.
EternalPhoenix Posted October 3 Posted October 3 https://orokos.com/roll/1023345 22. Bruised. https://orokos.com/roll/1023347 20. Bruised and dazed. No, thank you. Nab one of Riel's HP for a reroll. https://orokos.com/roll/1023348 12, which would be worse, except +10 so 22 so Bruised again.
Thevshi Posted October 3 Author Posted October 3 Okay, that is 2 bruises for Stormchild @EternalPhoenix Serendipity is up!
EternalPhoenix Posted October 5 Posted October 5 If I cut down the guy who attacked Riel, there anyone to Takedown?
Thevshi Posted October 6 Author Posted October 6 @EternalPhoenix You are assuming you can take him down with one hit (he is not a minion). But no, no other targets near enough.
EternalPhoenix Posted October 6 Posted October 6 Ooh, so we're getting into the real fighty business. Okay, then. Improved Feint. 25 is the number to beat with Skill Mastery and I actually have to make an Attack roll. Power Attack +5. Edit: And here's a Nat 1 for a 7 because I was dumb enough to taunt Murphy before rolling. Here's the reroll for 24 because like hell. And then the Concealment goes back on. That'll do.
Thevshi Posted October 7 Author Posted October 7 @EternalPhoenix The large hologram misses the sense motive check (wouldn't have mattered anyway with that reroll). But it tanks the toughness save with a 26
FlyingFresh Posted October 8 Posted October 8 When it comes around to Gookgak's turn again he will attack aliens that are in his 25' radius tethered darkness effect. But he'll try to be careful to not drag the darkness effect over any allies. If he can get an alien LT in the darkness without blinding a friend, he will do that. If not an LT, then a big alien. If he can't get a big alien without blinding an ally, then he'll just attack the aliens that had been shooting at him before.
Tiffany Korta Posted October 29 Posted October 29 Nothing too complicated make my way to the closest toughest alien she can find, unengaged if possible, and go for a straightforward punch! Attack Roll: 1d20+8=27, if that hits a DC 21 Toughness
Thevshi Posted October 29 Author Posted October 29 @Tiffany Korta We will say that is the same one Serendipity just attacked. It makes its toughness save.
Thevshi Posted November 12 Author Posted November 12 @EternalPhoenix Not really, it was the turn of some of the bad guys. Reposting the order: Round Three 27 Slipstream 2 HP (unharmed) 19 Gookgak 3 HP (unharmed) 19 Prime Mover 3 HP (bruised) 16 Fighters (2 engaging Stomchild) 12 Alien Lts (2 unharmed, 1 subject to Despair-able to act with penalty) 11 Serendipity 3 HP (unharmed) 8 Centuria 2 HP (unharmed) 7 Troopers (14 spread out: 7 subject to Despair-unable to act) 3 Stormchild (bruised 2) 2 Tough Aliens (3 remaining: 2 subject to Despair-unable to act However, the troopers that are not in subject to the Despair do not really have any viable targets. Slipstream moved out of sight up onto a roof, Serendipity is conceled again, and Gookgak is hidden. They will fire shots at Stormchild and Prime Mover, but even if they hit, they have Impervious. So go ahead with Stormchild EP.
