Thevshi Posted December 28, 2024 Author Posted December 28, 2024 Timeout Between Centuria and Gossamer, any of the bystanders in harm's way were soon moved to safety. Meanwhile, Arctus was able to create a massive ice barrier which spread across the grounds and closed the open pens, trapping the panicked animals inside. Timeout disappeared in a temporal distortion, only to appear hundreds of feet away near the speedster that was causing all this trouble. Once again, the blond teen unleased a burst of temporal energy at the villain, but once again the speedster easily dodged the attack. Moving in a blur, the speedster closed with Timeout once more, making another blindingly fast attack at the teenager. *CRACK* Just at the superspeed punch seemed about to strike Timeout, the blonde teen another temporal distortion surrounded him and at the last moment he dodged aside. The speedster ran past, moving back to the other end of the pens and over near the other teens.
Tiffany Korta Posted Monday at 05:35 AM Posted Monday at 05:35 AM Centuria After clearing the area Kate was confident, as well at please at (part) of a job well done. Now all they needed to do was take down the baddie and they were all good! Using her still impressive momentum she streaked towards them trying to land a blow before they could realise. Unfortunately for her she wasn't used to this kind of speed and the blow went well wide as she screetched to a halt with a show of small stones and other debris. "You know it's not too late to stand this down! You must know it's wrong to hurt innocents just to get at the Man! If you don't well you're no better than those you claim to oppose!" As her mom always said sometimes attacks on the ego were often more successful than actual physical attacks.
Jack Posted yesterday at 03:58 AM Posted yesterday at 03:58 AM Jack watched the battle unfold between Lawrence and the speedster, noting how different their fighting styles were. Lawrence moved with precise control, each temporal shift calculated and elegant. The villain relied on raw speed and chaos, wild and unpredictable. When Kate's punch missed its mark, Jack realized trying to match speed with speed wasn't going to work. They needed a different approach. The bear spirit stirred within him, offering ancient wisdom about hunting - sometimes the best strategy was to make your prey come to you. Frost gathered around his massive frame as he channeled his powers. Jack dropped into a crouch and slammed his palm against the ground. Ice crystals exploded outward from the point of impact, spreading across the earth like lightning branches. The frozen path snaked towards the area where the speedster had been running his patterns. The hippie villain hit the ice at full speed. His vintage boots found no traction on the slick surface. Arms pinwheeling, he went down hard, sliding across the frozen ground before coming to a stop flat on his back. Jack's lips curled into a satisfied smile. He'd managed to give his teammates the opening they needed. Now they just had to capitalize on it before the speedster could recover.
Thevshi Posted yesterday at 04:27 AM Author Posted yesterday at 04:27 AM Timeout The speedster seemed a bit unsettled by how Lawrence continued to just avoid his attacks, but he had not lost all focus as he dodged under Kate's attack. As he was moving away from the teen, he called back over his shoulder at her, "If they allow for the exploitation of the….aaaaahhh!" Suddenly he hit the ice Jack had put down and lost his balance falling to the ground after trying to regain his footing. As the man slid to a halt, he seemed just about to quickly get back to his feet when there was a temporal distortion next to him and Lawrnce was standing above him. The blond teen did not hesitate as knelt in a quick, fluid motion, his right hand distorted with temporal energy as he reached down with blinding speed to touch the hippie speedster’s chest. At the contact, the temporal energy coalesced around Lawrence's hand burst outward to fully cover the speedster, who froze in place, trapped in time. "Alright, he is out of commission until I release him. Good job Jack." Lawrence said as he stood back up calmly. Looking over at the others before looking around the area, he then added. "Let's see about getting the pens all closed and trying to calm the animals."
