Lynn had been about to head toward an exit when Mattie had stopped, somewhat confused by what all had just occurred, so the blonde teen turned back to stay with her roommate. She gave one of her half-smiles at the other girl’s last question. "Yeah, things tend to be pretty hectic a lot of the time, you learn to get used to it."

Glancing after the others that had departed a moment, she shrugged. "Well, with the others heading out to other locations, we might as well start here. Though I am not sure Gookgak is still here." The sixteen-year-old stated, glancing a moment toward Iris and Carmen, the two older students seemingly having not taken much interest in what was developing.

But Lynn and Mattie had only just started toward the now empty throne when a new figure stepped forward toward the throne.

It was a small man, with a clean shaven head, dressed in bright robes of blended shades of yellow and orange and a pair of simple sandals.

"This is nothing but a symbol of an oppressive system designed to keep everyone toiling under the will of the Man! The cleansing fires will wipe it away and free everyone!" As he spoke, he raised his hands, which became wreathed in fire, as the throne burst into flames, causing panic from those nearby…

The chaos had seemed to die down for the most part, the others began to leave but Iris did not follow, she told them that she would be fine and wanted some peace and quiet. Now that most of the loud students were gone, key word "most", she might have that chance...only for some stranger to show up and set the Throne on fire!

"Damn it! I wanted one quiet moment!" Iris exclaimed in frustration before looking over at Mattie and Lynn. As an older student, she had to keep the younger ones safe, and so was ready for a fight!

La Puma Negra

Carmen had been typing up an email about an assignment that was soon to be due that week, asking a question about it the teacher. The werecat student had been sort of just following other and more younger students around as a sort of chaperone now, not really interested in doing all this medieval stuff. It could be said that she really just didn't get it, all this medieval stuff, seeing what appeared to be more fantasy than anything else, the oddity of it being a ren faire at that. Still, the food was good, and Carmen was a big eater, senses more interested in tasting a pretzel she had bought with spicey mustard on it than anything else.

Of course, that meant when a guy that engulfed the throne in flames came from out of nowhere to deliver some preachy line, she stuffed down the rest really quick before getting up and by Cerebral, "And here I thought watching someone get knocked off a horse was entertaining."

"Hey punk, what's the matter, hot off the handle?"

"Yeah, he probably ran away. I swear that lil' guy's got more energy than the rest of us put together!" Mattie exclaims with a little laugh, as she follows Lynn towards the throne. They might as well get started looking for the king somewhere.

"Oh, hey, you know that guy, Lynn?" she asks, when the man in the orange and yellows step forward. "I kinda like those colors. You think I could pull 'em off?"

And then he starts talking all fancy about things being bad and sets the throne on fire! "Hey, that's not nice!" Mattie shouts, after Iris and Carmen has started shouting at the man. "C'mon, put that out before anyone gets hurt, please? I'm sure we can find someone that'll want to talk to you about that thing you're shouting about!"

Lynn had looked over towards the robed man when Mattie pointed him out, but did not recognize him, or who he might be dressed as. But before she could reply to the other girl, the man apparently ignited the faux throne on fire as he stood in the center of the main room and people began running in fear.

For a moment the blonde teen tensed, preparing to zip away to change into her costume. But she hesitated, not wanting to leave Mattie there alone, especially as the other girl started trying to talk the man down. Carmen moved over as well, yelling at the man as well. So, Lynn decided to wait and see what happened, just standing beside her roommate and watching for any sign the man might attack.

The man turned towards the teenage girls a calm expression on his face. "Greetings sisters. I am not looking to harm anyone, but these trappings celebrating the oppression of the past must go." He lifted his right hand, still covered in fames out to the side (away from any of the Claremont teens or any of the other bystanders) and sent a jet of flame flying that struck a tapestry hanging from the faux stone wall, causing it to catch fire.

"I would be happy to discuss the true way of peace and love, as soon as I am done destroying this edifice."

BOUNCE!

"But you're gonna get people hurt like that!" Mattie says, putting her hands down by her sides, and sounding rather upset. "Nobody's gonna listen to you if you get people hurt!"

There's people around, aside from Lynn, Carmen and Iris, but the tapestry catching fire is gonna be bad, and they need to do something about that.

She leans closer to Lynn and whispers "Lynn, I think we gotta do the hero thing here, right?"

She waits for a moment to get some kind of affirmation from Lynn, before she sets into movement. The elaborate princess dress that Mattie is wearing changes, shrinking in closer to her body until she is in her purple and white uniform, while her hair changes slightly and becomes purple-ish, as does her eyes. Her face changes ever so slightly, making her look just different enough that she won't be recognized and then... and then the more startling transformation happens as Mattie's arms start to warm into a huge purple electric fan that she turns on the tapestry, hopefully blowing at it with enough force to put out the fire.

"Yes, I think it is." Lynn whispered back to her roommate. As Mattie shapeshifted and started trying to put out the fire, Lynn disappeared in blur of motion and a *WOOSH* of air. A split second later, a red and black blur *WOOSHED* back into the room and the blonde teen came to a skidding halt right back in the spot she had been, this time in the red and black costume she wore as Slipstream, her red tinted goggles over her eyes.

The fires that sought to consume the tapestries and throne seemed to burn with an unnatural fury, however, Mattie was quickly able to generate a powerful wind that caused them to flicker and falter. For a moment they seemed to burn brighter, trying to continue their destruction and spread. But then they flickered a few more times and the died out completely.

A scowl came to the face of the man in the bright robes as he watched the flames be extinguished. He turned once more towards the group of Claremont girls, his eyes appearing to glow with flames as the fire wreathing his hands spreading up his arms. "I do not wish to harm you sisters, but if you continue to stand in my way I will have little choice!"

Iris glanced over at Lynn and Mattie, she would nod towards the latter and give a thumbs up. "Good job." She would then sigh, if she had known that this was going to get chaotic then she would have brought her own hero suit, and she didn't have super speed like Lynn did. Still she could do this, the young woman put her hands on her hips and stared down the attacker. It was clear that this guy had some...views...

"I think you threatening some women is part of an opression system alright. Good thing that I don't care. I suggest you leave before we kick your butt.

La Puma Negra "Carmen"

"Ese tipo está loco," Carmen says, lined up with her other fellow heroes. It was more down right now to who was going to make the first move as it appeared like it would be them. It would be true as Mattie decided to take out the fires, something that would most likely provoke some form of response by fire crazed revolutionary. It was all just some fantasy experience, a pretend thing, and yet this guy thought it was all too real. Carmen wasn't going to stand for it much any longer as her claws came out.

"Yea what, brainy said!" Carmen spoke, not knowing what to say as some sort of witty tag line.

Lynn watched as the fire wielding man seemed undeterred by the threats from Iris and Carmen. The teenage girl was now letting herself act at full speed, taking in everything going on around them far faster than a normal person could. Her high-tech goggles were feeding her visuals from all around her, providing her a full view of the entire room without having to turn her head.

As the man in the robe seemed about to start engaging with her and the others, the speedster shot forward in a blur of red and black, closing the distance in a blink of an eye. As she drew near the man, instead of just delivering a superspeed punch, Lynn instead reached out with an open hand which glowed with a faint light, looking to see if she might be able to drain some of his powers to maybe make him more willing to stand down (or at least a bit easier to deal with).

While she managed to grab his upper arm and the faint glow started to spread up his arm, it suddenly stopped as the man managed to resist her attack.

Frowning at the failure, Lynn kept moving, zipping away from the man and then skidding to a halt across the hall form him, ready for any counterattack.

Puma finally figured out what exactly she wanted to say after a few moments, catching up with her in the moment as instead of coming up with it on the fly. Maybe it wasn't the best sort of comeback, but it seemed effective enough to be able to intimidate him as she spoke, "You got 10 seconds before I start clawing bub, so unless you want to become my next post to scratch then," she says, slowly moving forward with her claws out. Carmen knew well enough that she wasn't some friendly looking cat creature like Neko was, she was something far different altogether and seemed to revel at times in scaring punks as she crept further.

"Your choice buddy."

BOUNCE!

"Hey, we're not your sisters!"

Mattie seems really incensed by that. Lynn is gone, then back and Iris and Carmen are shouting at the guy, but he really seems like he just wants a fight. Better to try to hold him in place, right?

"And you're still puttin' people in danger! That's not alright!"

She turns away from the flames she had put out, and instead starts running towards the man. Her hands shifts back into hands, giant hands at that, which stretches out towards him, trying to grab around him to hold him in place. At the same time, her skin begins to change color, turning dark grey, almost asbestos like in color.

While he manages to move out of her way, she shouts "Just calm down and we'll talk things out!"

The man in the robes seemed about to respond to Slipstream's failed attack (whatever it was) and Bounce's comment about them not being his sisters, but then La Puma extended her claws and leveled her threat. He seemed a bit taken aback at the older Claremont student's forceful statement, so much so that he was almost caught off guard as Bounce tried to restrain him.

But at the last moment he glided back from the young teen's attempt to grab him, flames flowing up his robes as he hovered in the air.

"V…very well, then you are all clearly tools of the Man." He responded, although with seemingly less conviction than his early preaching.

Swinging one arm forward, he hurled a small jet of fire at Bounce, the flames striking her, but exploding around her with seemingly no ill effect…

Iris rolled her eyes at the man. Some people were just too ignorant to convince. So she might as well join the fight. The young woman looked at the burnt throne and would use her telekinesis on it. The object would glow purple and she would raise it into the air before launching it at the villain! It would hit him but do little, if any, actual damage to him.
